Religion in America, Part Two: The 'Spirituality' Evasion

Original Article

You've heard it before. I know you have. We all have. It’s an arrogant, attention-seeking, look-at-me statement. It’s designed to hide moral lethargy behind a smokescreen of independent freethinking. And the statement is this: I’m very spiritual. I just don’t buy into organized religion. Wow. That’s deep, my man. I’d ask you to explain what the hell that even means, but I doubt you’ve thought that far past your bumper sticker talking point. But let’s break it down. You specifically call out organized religion. Is there a difference between religion and organized religion? Is any religion unorganized? And if not, what specifically about the organization of religion negates its value?

When one guy told me that he didn't go to church because he didn't like organized religion, I told him organized religion was the only kind to like. When disorganized religions have their summer picnics, people bring buns and mayonaise but forget the hot dogs and hamburgers.

Democrats are never ones for context. They love to have reasons to pretend they are destroying corruption when they are really going after personal political opponents. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), for instance, had her warpaint and Tomahawk out as she screeched, “Is RFK Jr.'s son getting a cut of a $50 MILLION settlement that his dad could have influenced? I'm investigating.” Naturally, she needs something to investigate to avoid investigating Anthony Fauci and the pharmaceutical companies that pushed COVID vaccines that we now know, courtesy of Fauci‘s journal, were quite ineffective and sometimes injurious.

Drone warfare is at the forefront of every nation's developing defense technology and the Trump administration is utilizing private sector "incubators" to bring America's best and brightest together to protect the country, including one new company's groundbreaking product to counter malign drones within seconds. During his closing monologue on Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said that he can’t go a week without seeing a “newly-chosen exciting new face in the Democratic Party” that is a Communist or some other version of crazy and he would back Sarah Palin over the DSA. Maher began by saying, “Donald Trump has told one trillion lies, but when he says the Democratic Socialists of America are actually Communists, that’s not one of them.” He added that his vote would be “in play” if the Democratic Party kept trending in the DSA’s direction, “And here’s why:

Democrats and LGBTQ+ activist groups say they want to empower parents on their children’s programming, but they also vehemently oppose putting labels on TV and streaming shows that would alert parents to transgender content. Concerned Women for America analyzed the streaming shows on Netflix geared toward young audiences, and found that more than 40% of most children’s programming includes some sort of LGBTQ+ theme. The Federal Communications Commission sought comment from the general public, asking for suggestions on how the Television Oversight Monitoring Board can update TV ratings to alert parents to content such as the introduction of a male character “becoming” female or same-sex romance themes.

President Trump announced on Saturday night on TRUTH Social that the “perimeters” of a peace deal with Iran have been agreed to. FYI: It’s not clear if he meant ‘parameters” – a boundary or limit – rather than “perimeters” – the boundary – of the peace deal. Either would work. Trump posted the message on TRUTH Social at 9:05 PM on Saturday. This president never sleeps. President Trump also mentioned that he had Israel’s commitment to this latest peace deal and ceasefire. The US hit Iran with aerial/airstrikes on Iranian targets, primarily military sites such as missile/drone facilities, coastal surveillance/radar, air defenses, command centers,

President Donald Trump in a Saturday evening social media post claimed that Mideast allies have reached the parameters of a deal to end the Iran war and said that he would hold off on ordering new strikes in the five-month old conflict for now. Trump added that the emerging deal “would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat.” “Based on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL,” Trump said.

This week, the Senate Homeland Security Committee subpoenaed Dr. Anthony Fauci to testify. The committee secured extensive daily logs he had prepared while at NIH heading up the COVID-19 response. (The committee still lacks almost 700 pages of these logs, all of which had been secreted on 11 different government servers until retrieved by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.) The contrast between what he wrote in his hidden logs and his public statements was extreme. To take but one example, he admits in the log that the six-foot distancing rule was just something made up.

National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya said the Trump administration’s newly announced ban on federally funded gain-of-function research represents a significant shift in federal biomedical policy, adding that the agency is committed to greater transparency, open scientific debate and a new approach to pandemic preparedness. Speaking in an interview Thursday with the Just the News, No Noise TV program, Bhattacharya called the new approach “an absolutely vital policy.” “The United States will never again support research that has a chance of causing catastrophic human harm,” he said. “We’ve been working for a year and a half on getting the details right,

Call it pleading the thrift. Hunter Biden claimed under oath earlier this year that he's so broke he doesn't even own a car or a cellphone, and said his family is too strapped for cash to help him pay off millions in unpaid legal bills. The former first son painted a bleak picture of his own and of Biden family finances during a Feb. 9 deposition in his legal battle with powerhouse law firm Winston Taylor, which sued Biden in June 2025 for allegedly stiffing the firm out of $17 million accrued from representing Biden in federal criminal cases, congressional investigations, and defamation lawsuits Biden brought against his enemies.

The 25th anniversary of 9/11 is just over a month away, and the families of those murdered in the World Trade Center are making plans for a dignified remembrance of their loved ones on this painful and solemn occasion. There's just one problem: New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani insists on being there despite the growing chorus from the families telling him to stay far away. They'd rather not have a practicing Muslim and avowed socialist mar the day that belongs to them and their memories – feelings that are completely understandable. Here's what I wrote about this a few days back in a VIP article:

Spanish Transport Minister Óscar Puente fueled online claims blaming Israel for Spain’s migrant crisis in the North African enclave of Ceuta on Friday after Israeli U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon criticized Madrid’s handling of the border emergency, escalating an already tense diplomatic dispute between Jerusalem and Spain. The exchange followed Danon’s criticism of Spain after Madrid declared a state of emergency and deployed military forces to Ceuta following an unprecedented surge of migrants crossing into the Spanish enclave from neighboring Morocco. Puente’s cryptic response helped fuel conspiracy theories circulating on Spanish social media alleging Israel — and in some cases the United States — was behind the crisis.

The beaches were covered in floats, rubber rings and discarded clothing.

Inside the arena, two 16-year-old girls holding signs that read "Thank you Sophie for speaking up for girls" found themselves targeted.
