The Fauci Legend Will Not Die!

Mother Jones on Dr. Anthony Fauci: “The diary entries contain plenty of cringeworthy moments—Fauci congratulating himself on how famous he had become, for example, and basking in the attention of female celebrities like Julia Roberts and Barbra Streisand. What they don’t contain—much to the dismay of Paul and Fauci’s other critics—is any kind of smoking gun proving that the public health leader deliberately misled the American people.“ I wonder what Mother Jones would consider a smoking gun. On February 9th, 2020, appearing on the Newt Gingrich podcast “Newt’s world,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said the idea that Covid-19 came from a lab was a “conspiracy theory… without any scientific basis.”

The European Commission on Thursday announced a call for tenders designed to generate over €30 billion ($34 billion) in state and private funding for the construction of seven so-called AI gigafactories to boost the European Union's computing independence. Of the funds, €10 billion will come from the EU and member states while private investors put up the remaining €20 billion. The funds are to be collected and distributed by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), which was launched in 2020 to develop "a world class supercomputing ecosystem by pooling the resources of the European Union, European countries and private partners."

Good policy, it is said, makes for good politics. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and his Senate GOP colleagues find themselves in a serendipitous moment, having before them a tremendous opportunity to serve the nation’s interests while simultaneously benefiting their party’s narrower political interests. What is the opportunity? Simple — stay in Washington until they pass a budget resolution to make possible the passage of key elements of the SAVE America Act.

A federal judge on Monday blocked the Trump administration from creating a centralized database containing Social Security numbers along with information about voters’ citizenship status and other sensitive data. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, an appointee of former President Biden, said officials across numerous government agencies “haphazardly combined and repurposed the private information of millions of Americans, including citizenship data that they knew to be unreliable” in order to comply with President Trump’s March executive order attempting to overhaul federal elections.

In less than a month, Trump accounts – dedicated savings accounts for children – will formally launch. A new move announced by the Treasury Department and the first lady last week is expected to expand access to children in foster care. Trump accounts, which are similar to retirement accounts, have to be established by the child’s parent or guardian. That could otherwise make it complicated for a child in foster care to have an account created for them. On Thursday, first lady Melania Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced the launch of “Fostering the Future Accounts.” Trump, speaking at a news conference at the Treasury Department

The recent California gubernatorial and Los Angeles mayoral elections—where, remarkably, Steve Hilton and Spencer Pratt both appear to have advanced to the general election in November—offer a glimmer of hope. Could it be that some on the Left, along with a number of Independents, have finally realized that neither wealth nor an upscale ZIP code can protect them from the Left’s vindictive socialist madness? California gas prices, even prior to the Iran war, had reached the highest levels in the continental United States. The cause is self-evident: left-wing policies

In a state that hasn’t elected a Republican governor in nearly two decades and where Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly two to one in registered voters, Tuesday night belonged to two conservative political outsiders who based their campaigns on a simple message: Californians deserve better. Former Fox News host Steve Hilton and reality television veteran Spencer Pratt arrived at their respective races with thinner war chests than their establishment rivals, no prior experience in elected office, and campaigns built less on policy infrastructure than on raw charisma, populist messaging, and an uncomplicated argument: that California leaders had failed, and that change – dramatic, disruptive change – was long overdue.

“It’s a Jackie Robinson moment.” That declaration by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries struck a curious chord because Jeffries was calling for Black athletes to boycott SEC conference teams to protest not the existence but the elimination of racial discrimination. Jeffries was upset that the court had ended racial gerrymandering designed to guarantee the election of non-white (and largely Democratic) House members. It was as if Jackie Robinson were to join a protest calling for the return of race-based discrimination in baseball.

The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais, barring racial gerrymandering, has many on the left feigning vapors, despite the predictions of many of us that this result was likely. While figures such as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) declared that the court itself has been “gerrymandered” to rig the upcoming elections, this decision is actually the culmination of decades of jurisprudence by various justices — particularly Chief Justice John Roberts.
How Iran Committed Suicide 6 replies

How does the supposedly most fearsome regime in the violent Middle East now find itself on the verge of an utter economic and military collapse? Iran’s half-century-long deadly terrorist reputation peaked with the October 7, 2023, massacre in Israel that it helped fund and coordinate. Iran’s terrorist ambitions of running the Middle East had accelerated after witnessing Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and his administration’s distancing itself from Israel. Biden’s humiliation by a series of Chinese slights and the Russian invasion of Ukraine further eroded American deterrence. European appeasement was another force multiplier of Iranian hubris.

"Monty Python" actor John Cleese warned this week that the world has failed to live up to the ideal of saying "Black lives matter" when it ignores anti-Christian terrorism in Nigeria. Numerous news sources around the world, including The Associated Press, reported that according to local military and officials, at least 26 people were killed in three separate Easter attacks in northern Nigeria. This has caused multiple prominent commentators to not only criticize the terrorism rife in the region, but the silence of the international community that they argue is politically-motivated. "It looks rather as though Black Lives Don't Matter," Cleese lamented

What a cowardly and shameful final chapter for Dr. Anthony Fauci, who pleaded the Fifth 111 times in the Senate Wednesday even though he has a pre-emptive presidential pardon that gives him immunity from prosecution. In the history of Congress, only a couple of mob bosses have invoked the privilege more. “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights, under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution,” the Machiavellian career bureaucrat said over and over in the nearly three-hour hearing before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. But Fauci’s silence rendered him a villain more powerfully than his usual sly deceptions. Shameful, too,

The issue of illegal aliens being detained while awaiting their transport out of the country is destined to eventually hit the Supreme Court.Several courts of appeal have split on the issue of whether illegal aliens can be detained during processing out of the country with some saying yes and some saying, no. The Nineth Circuit Court of Appeals weighed in today and also said no, with a rather goofy and odd reason in their opinion. [Court Ruling Here] The 9th CCA doesn’t like the term “illegal alien” so they use the politically correct term, “unadmitted aliens” to describe non-Americans who are in the country illegally.

The courts will decide whether the last-minute, blanket pardon that the autopen gave Anthony Fauci (Doctor Death) allows him to legitimately invoke the Fifth Amendment. Next week, the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs will hold a vote on a contempt resolution against him. While the legal complexities unfold, this is self-evident: Fauci is beneath contempt. During his testimony before the same committee today, Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), had the temerity to claim that Dr. Death saved lives. The WNBA has suspended Seattle Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton from attending the team's next five home games after her exchange with two fans during Tuesday's matchup with the Indiana Fever, the league confirmed Thursday. According to multiple reports, Keaton had admonished a pair of fans who brought signs into Climate Pledge Arena supporting Fever guard Sophie Cunningham following her recent comments about transgender athletes. The fans told unDividedPod.com that Keaton directed expletives at them for a sign that thanked Cunningham "for speaking up for girls." Along with the suspension, Keaton was fined an undisclosed amount, the league said.

A survey by Michigan Education — conducted by the Glengariff Group and commissioned by the Michigan Education Association and Business Leaders for Michigan — finds Rogers leading El-Sayed by 10 points in a hypothetical matchup. Stevens holds a slim lead over Rogers in a direct matchup, with the Democrat congresswoman drawing nearly 46 percent support to the Michigan Republican’s 45 percent. Another nearly 9 percent of respondents remained undecided. Moreover, the statewide poll of likely voters notes it has a margin of error of four points, meaning Stevens and Rogers are essentially tied in the hypothetical Senate race. “This race is a toss-up,” the Glengariff Group noted in their survey.

Less than 100 days before the midterms, voters are agitating for wholesale change in Congress and looking to the Democratic Party in hopes of making that happen. Democrats lead Republicans on the generic ballot by 8 points among registered voters, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Democrats also continue to hold a significant advantage in voter enthusiasm and have a 20-point advantage in preferences among those who say they are extremely motivated to vote. More Americans say the country would be better off (38%) than worse off (33%) if Democrats were to take control of Congress this November, with 29% saying it wouldn’t make a difference.

Feasibility studies for a high-speed rail project began in 2006. By 2018, the first section was completed and opened, seven years after construction was started. Where is this bullet train? Not in California. It’s in Morocco. California voters approved in 2008 a ballot measure for a “safe, convenient, affordable, and reliable alternative to driving and high gas prices” by a 53%-47% margin. Golden Staters were sold a train that would require a $10 billion bond and cost $33 billion to complete. Within a dozen years it would be ripping up and down the state at 220 mph, ferrying passengers between San Diego and Sacramento.
