The European Commission on Thursday announced a call for tenders designed to generate over €30 billion ($34 billion) in state and private funding for the construction of seven so-called AI gigafactories to boost the European Union's computing independence.
Of the funds, €10 billion will come from the EU and member states while private investors put up the remaining €20 billion.
The funds are to be collected and distributed by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), which was launched in 2020 to develop "a world class supercomputing ecosystem by pooling the resources of the European Union, European countries and private partners."

The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais, barring racial gerrymandering, has many on the left feigning vapors, despite the predictions of many of us that this result was likely.
While figures such as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) declared that the court itself has been “gerrymandered” to rig the upcoming elections, this decision is actually the culmination of decades of jurisprudence by various justices — particularly Chief Justice John Roberts.

According to multiple reports, Keaton had admonished a pair of fans who brought signs into Climate Pledge Arena supporting Fever guard Sophie Cunningham following her recent comments about transgender athletes. The fans told unDividedPod.com that Keaton directed expletives at them for a sign that thanked Cunningham "for speaking up for girls."
