Following the Trump administration’s aggressive restructuring of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), a striking pattern emerged across Latin America. Left-wing governments, long dominant in several countries, suddenly stopped winning national elections. Center-right and conservative presidential candidates have swept to victory in Bolivia, Chile, Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru, and Colombia since Trump ordered the cancellation of the bulk of USAID’s programs.

Cassidy was briefed in the Situation Room by Vice President JD Vance and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on Iran, prompting him to change his vote against the war powers resolution later that night. The briefing came after Cassidy got into a shouting match with President Donald Trump over Iran during a heated, closed-door lunch on Capitol Hill, where several senators clashed with the president.

George Conway’s campaign reportedly spent $5.7 million, only to receive a mere 6,177 votes in New York’s 12th Congressional District’s Democrat primary. “That’s $850 a vote, which is much more than even Mike Bloomberg spent per vote in the 2020 Dem primary,” Alex Pfeiffer — a Republican communications consultant who once served as White House Principal Deputy Communications Director — revealed in a Tuesday X post.

Postmaster General David Steiner told senators during a hearing Wednesday that he plans to abide by the Trump administration's rule regarding not delivering mail-in ballots in states that decline to hand over sensitive data about voters to the federal government. The proposed rule faces court challenges and Steiner said he would follow any court ruling on the matter, but will follow the rule until an order blocks it. The proposed rule seeks to create lists of citizens in each state to help determine who is eligible to vote and calls on the Postal Service not to distribute mail ballots to those not on state lists.

According to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, he has not only been serving as the city’s prosecutor but effectively as its top public defender. Krasner’s record is the subject of a scathing new opinion, which accuses him of leading a dishonest effort to undermine major criminal cases to engineer new trials for defendants. Schlossberg, 33, lost the race for New York's 12th Congressional District to state Assemblymember Micah Lasher despite entering the contest with perhaps the most recognizable surname in Democratic politics.
