The Department of Education is transferring two of its key responsibilities to other parts of the executive branch, marking the administration’s latest effort to wind down the agency’s operations. The agency is moving its Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services to the Department of Health and Human Services. OSER staff will work with HHS to “ensure that programs that support individuals with disabilities are administered more effectively and in a way that results in better outcomes for individuals with disabilities,” a senior department official told reporters on a Tuesday press call. “Federal rights and protections provided under the programs administered by OSERS, including the [Individuals with Disabilities Education Act] and

The plot to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn Sunday night involved at least 12 suspects across the US who adhered to an “accelerationist” ideology and hoped to bring down American capitalism, according to federal law enforcement sources. The FBI foiled their plans by infiltrating a Signal chat group planning the devastating attack — with the parent of one suspect reporting him to local police, sources told The Post. The suspects are charged in at least four states — California, Ohio, Missouri and Nebraska — and intended to kill multiple politicians. The multi-phase plot called for explosive drones to strike the South Lawn

A new report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that the government cannot tell if it is handing taxpayer dollars to individuals on the “do not pay list,” Republican Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation Monday. A draft of the report reviewed by the DCNF exposed that there is no way to cross-reference the USASpending.gov records detailing who receives government awards with who is on the “do not pay list.” Current law requires government expenditures to be listed on USASpending.gov so Americans can see who is receiving their taxpayer dollars, although there is currently no way of knowing whether the individuals receiving the funds

The FBI thwarted an explosive drone attack against Sunday’s UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn and have already taken five suspects into custody, it was revealed Tuesday. The multi-phase terror attack allegedly involved using explosive-laden drone aircraft to strike buildings in the vicinity of the event, sparking mass panic and driving the fleeing crowd toward a sniper team poised to pick them off, officials told Fox News Digital. A “second wave” of attackers then allegedly planned to storm the White House gate, officials said. The bureau learned of the plot on June 10 and executed a search warrant in Cincinnati, where the first arrest was made.

Some Republicans and immigration hawks are demanding that the Trump administration finally end a visa program that incentivizes employers to hire foreign students. The Optional Practical Training program, created in 1992, allows foreign students to remain in the United States to work for nearly four years after graduation. Employers receive a tax break for hiring foreign graduates under the program, which some say gives foreign nationals an advantage over U.S. citizens. “F” student visa holders, including OPT graduates, are considered nonresident aliens for their first five calendar years in America. For those years, their wages are exempt from Social Security and Medicare taxes—for both the employee and the employer.

Concern is mounting that taxpayers could be left holding the bag if the Obama Presidential Center runs into financial trouble, as the foundation behind it has yet to establish a promised $470 million safety net to guard against a public bailout. The scrutiny comes as a Fox News Digital investigation found multiple contractors and subcontractors claiming losses ranging from hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions on the project, with some alleging they remain locked in payment disputes and face financial ruin just days before the center's grand opening. Under its agreement with the city, the Obama Foundation pledged to create the fund, known as an endowment, as part

The upcoming UFC fight scheduled to take place outside the White House has been criticized by many on the left for "defiling" a national monument. However, many who have made this allegation were silent during the previous administration, as protesters vandalized national monuments and transgender-identifying activists were seen celebrating topless outside the White House for Pride month. The UFC is scheduled to host “UFC Freedom 250” on the White House South Lawn on Sunday night. Organizers have constructed a custom octagon for the event, which is expected to host more than 4,000 guests. The event faced a legal challenge earlier this week, but a judge declined to block it on Friday.

President Donald Trump is reportedly seeking to have the two impeachments from his first term expunged from the congressional record through a resolution. “It should be done because I did nothing wrong,” Trump said when asked about the resolution in a phone call, The Wall Street Journal reported. “It was a rigged deal—it was a whole rigged situation.” The Democrat-led House of Representatives voted to impeach Trump in December 2019, saying he had wrongfully tried to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by delaying aid money, into investigating Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden for alleged corruption involving millions of dollars.

Former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland last week won New Mexico’s gubernatorial primary, with a 2-to-1 lead over her opponent. She’ll be up against Republican nominee Gregg Hull in November’s general election. A lot could happen between now and then. But considering the state's political history, there's a good chance Haaland could get elected governor. On the American energy scene, New Mexico is the second-largest producer behind Texas, pumping out 2 million barrels of oil per day. Two counties in south-east New Mexico account for 78% of all onshore federal oil production, according to the American Petroleum Institute. The Land of Enchantment is a key player in the American energy landscape.

First, oil prices have already been coming down because of the peace negotiations with Iran. Second, now that a deal is being signed, the prices are likely to drop even more, as shipping returns to normal.
