Fetterman scoffs at Platner: ‘He’s

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) rebuked the Democratic nominee in the Maine Senate race on Friday, saying scandal-plagued Graham Platner is “not even a Democrat.” “We’re the party of pearl clutching, and now we’ve embraced him because we don’t have a choice,” Fetterman told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham in an interview Friday. Like if you can’t really defend him, you could at least say, well, he has a ‘D’ after his name, but he’s not even a Democrat,” he continued. “He actually described himself as a communist.” Platner emerged victorious from Maine’s Democratic primary on Tuesday, following a series of controversies about his past behavior.

Fetterman is an old Democrat and Platner is a new Democrat. The difference is that many old Democrats have principles they believe in. While New Democrats have no principles, they only believe in winning with nothing left off the table. How else to explain why they are enthusiastically behind Platner who has all of the bad qualities that they accuse Republicans of having.

President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social Sunday that the strikes on Beirut “should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran.” “We are very close to a Deal that will bring peace to the region, including to Lebanon, and all sides should stand down. There should be no more attacks by Israel anywhere in Lebanon,” he wrote, adding: “Let’s not blow it!” Three people were killed in Sunday’s strike on Beirut’s southern Dahieh suburb, according to Lebanon’s Civil Defense Ministry.

The 18th-century French philosopher Voltaire is to have once remarked, “Common sense is not so common” when assessing the lack of logic and basic reasoning prevalent in France during the Age of Enlightenment. He certainly had a knack for distilling his views of humanity in that era. The dominant questions confronting society in that time were markedly different than those which the U.S. currently faces, but his stark observation can still be applied to a distinct segment of American society today.

First Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli slammed the Los Angeles Times on Friday for publishing a report that claimed evidence of homeless voter fraud in the recent primaries was "unfounded." The Los Angeles Times report noted that no evidence of widespread voter fraud occurred in the city, but that a few homeless people on Skid Row were paid to register to vote and sign ballot petitions. "The LA Times headline says voter fraud claims are 'unfounded' — then their own reporting confirms it," Essayli posted on X. "Their article documents homeless individuals being paid cash to register to vote. That’s a federal crime."

Iran's rulers might sign a piece of paper -- as Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Chairman Yasser Arafat did with Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin with the 1993 Oslo Accord – but, like the PLO, its fundamental goals will not change. The regime cannot abandon "Death to America" or "Death to Israel" without dissolving its own reason for being. Leaving it in place only ensures that it will dig its hooks in even deeper -- especially after President Donald J. Trump leaves office and his successor possibly turns to interests more enjoyable than "enforcement."

The Department of the Interior has terminated 43 partnerships with outside organizations that it says no longer align with the Trump administration’s priorities, eliminating more than $4 million in planned funding for programs tied to diversity, equity, and inclusion; environmental justice; and services for illegal immigrants. Led by Secretary Doug Burgum, the department determined the agreements were “operating in direct opposition” to its mission, according to a press release obtained by Fox News Digital.

For all of my adult life, I have believed that free markets incentivize innovation, generate lower costs, and improve services. Indeed, confidence in the value of free markets is one of the foundations of conservatism, and why I align with the Republican Party. I have also always felt that conservatives need to be on the lookout for industries that try to co-opt the free market movement, to take advantage of their customers, and do so under the guise of competition. Giving customers options is a good thing, but only if they actually deliver innovations, better services, and lower prices.

There is a certain seductive logic to watching your rival gain advantage through state support and concluding that you should respond in kind. Across the American political spectrum, from think tanks like the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation to conservatives who once treated “picking winners” as a term of derision, industrial policy has staged a remarkable comeback. The pitch is straightforward enough: if Beijing is subsidizing its way to dominance in semiconductors, electric vehicles, and advanced manufacturing, surely Washington cannot afford to stand on free-market principles while the factories disappear. It is a compelling story, and it is also, on closer inspection, largely a myth.

The US Virgin Islands is one of the most anti-gun territories in the United States. They seem to have no respect for gun rights, with might not be relevant if they weren't a US territory and thus subject to the Constitution. I'm not sure the lawmakers there really seem to understand that, though, with their history of gun-grabbing, but it doesn't make it any less true. And they're at it again, this time with a bill containing numerous provisions, including a "vampire rule." That's led the Second Amendment Foundation to tell them they really should back off on that. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, a top contender to be the Democratic Party nominee for the U.S. Senate in Michigan, has a history of downplaying the threat posed by the Muslim Brotherhood — now designated a terrorist group by the U.S. — and even defended a brazen power grab by the Islamist group’s leader during the Brotherhood’s brief reign in Egypt. El-Sayed, who is seeking to be the first Muslim in the U.S. Senate, signed onto a 2012 statement which defended the Muslim Brotherhood’s rule of Egypt and further defended a massive power grab by Mohammed Morsi, the leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.

This morning the House tried to pass a short-term FISA (702) extension for three weeks (ending July 2). The measure failed by a vote of 218 to 198. In addition to Democrats, nineteen republicans also voted against it. The Democrats are claiming their lack of support surrounds the appointment of Bill Pulte as Acting DNI effective June 19, and their concern that Pulte will weaponize the FISA (702) authority to conduct political surveillance.

President Barack Hussein Obama wanted a monument in Chicago, and Chicago gave him parkland, patience, tax breaks, years of disruption, and now a tower that looks less like civic memory than self-regard poured into granite. The Obama Presidential Center opens to the public June 19 in Jackson Park, a historic South Side park once shaped by Frederick Law Olmsted's vision. The Obama Foundation calls it an “awe-inspiring 19-acre campus.” Many Chicagoans can look at the same structure and see something colder. The building matches the man's politics. Obama, the 44th president, sold hope in polished speeches while leaving the country more divided than he found it. My criticism of Obama has

But that was yesterday, and today is a new day, and in the case of these same blacks, they’ve already got a new trend: they’re using AI to edit themselves into a picture with Austin Metcalf’s grave, making it look as though they’re urinating on it. Disgraced Democrat Hillary Clinton is continuing to perpetuate an old lie pushed by liberals to prevent election security. (X) “They’re trying to kick people off of voter rolls,” Clinton said of Republicans promoting basic election integrity measures. “They’re trying to demand…you know…forms of identification most real people don’t have, and most older people, and most rural people don’t have. They are certainly redistricting to make it difficult to elect black representatives or Latino representatives or Democrats. So, that means that we have to be even more intentional in showing up and voting.” So most “real people” (whatever that means) don’t have a REAL ID driver’s license or a passport?

An identical percentage of his donors are from out of state, as the 27-year-old son of Somali immigrants has toured the country, seeking donations from areas with large Somali-American populations. In late May, he attended a fundraising event for Somali-Americans in Minneapolis with progressive Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, who endorsed him in April.
