Americans spend their lives working to support their loved ones, strengthen their communities, and build our country. Along the way, they entrust their future retirement incomes to 401(k)s, pension funds, or retirement accounts. This places a fiduciary duty on those individuals and organizations whose stewardship over those monies is to maximize the proceeds for retirees and all shareholders. This duty does not include advancing a leftist political agenda by weaponizing retirees’ lifetimes of hard-earned income against everything they oppose and, moreover, grifting a handsome profit for relinquishing their fiduciary duty in doing so. When such political shenanigans occur, they are rarely done in full view of retirees,

There is no point grumbling about police racist anti-racist policies until a number of foundational myths upon which these policies are contingent are dismantled. The most beguiling is: the police must be reflective of the community they serve. We have Robert Peel to thank/blame: “The police are the public and the public are the police.” It sounds sweet and sensible. To win the trust of the community, the police should look like the community. Emotionally it makes sense, yet the pale cast of thought reveals it to be a dud.

The United States military said Wednesday evening that it has begun its next wave of self-defense strikes on Iran amid tensions over the downing of an American helicopter earlier this week. The move is the second wave of strikes on the Middle Eastern country after the U.S. launched strikes on Iran on Tuesday evening in response to the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter. "U.S. Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 5:15 p.m. ET against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction," CENTCOM said on X. "The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression."

It has been an occasional point of contention for some (namely me) in the news business when running up against the gold standard of professional language – The Associated Press Stylebook. For generations, this ever-expanding tome has been the guiding force in journalistic language, but recently it has been morphed into another tool for media narrative-building. For instance, linguistic rectitude has frequently been pushed aside in favor of sensitive or woke terminology. Gender issues are to be treated with deference over accuracy.

Consumer prices rose 4.2 percent from a year earlier in May, the highest annual reading since April 2023, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Consumer Price Index increased 0.5 percent during the month, matching what economists had forecast. One number explains most of it: Energy accounted for more than 60 percent of the overall increase. The Iran war's disruption of Middle Eastern oil supplies is driving that. The energy index rose 3.9 percent in May and was up 23.5 percent from a year ago. Gasoline alone rose 7 percent during the month and was up 40.5 percent from a year earlier.

The Associated Press has called the race for Raman —six days after Election Day. Raman will face incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in a November runoff election. The AP claims, “Large numbers of Democrats held onto their mail ballots and returned them in the race’s final days, which helps explain why Bass and Raman have been doing better than Pratt in the votes counted since primary day.” Raman was trailing Pratt by about 40,000 votes on election night, but thanks to mail-in ballots that were inserted after election day, she closed the gap. It can be recalled that Raman broke down in tears on election night with an emotional,

The Democrat Party and their legacy media allies are framing the 2026 midterms as a referendum on President Trump and Republican governance in Congress, leveraging historical midterm dynamics where the president’s party often loses seats. Democratic leaders (e.g., Rep. Suzan DelBene, D-Wash, the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee chairman) explicitly call for making it a referendum on “Trump’s one Big Beautiful Bill and agenda.” Their messaging focuses on affordability, health care costs, farm/economic impacts from policies, and immigration enforcement effects in key districts. They are targeting ostensibly vulnerable GOP seats in Trump-won areas, expanding maps and emphasizing “MAGA extremism” or unfulfilled promises.

Critics and conservative activists are increasingly pointing to Thune’s historic 2004 Senate victory over incumbent Democrat Tom Daschle, arguing that Thune’s current handling of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act contradicts the very principles that propelled him to power. The 2004 South Dakota Senate race remains one of the most iconic clashes in modern political history. Thune unseated Daschle, then the Senate minority leader, by a razor-thin margin of 4,508 votes. The campaign was defined by fierce debates over authenticity, residency, and the integrity of the vote itself.

Convicted killer Karmelo Anthony has claimed he’s “penniless” and can’t afford a lawyer for his appeal — despite his family collecting $625,000 in crowdfunding for his legal defense and “living expenses,” according to a report. Anthony, 19, made the assertion in a notice of appeal filed after he was found guilty of fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf and sentenced to 35 years behind bars, according to a report by ABC WFAA. Anthony — who was moved to a Texas state prison Wednesday — is “penniless, destitute, and indigent person, too poor to employ counsel to represent me on the appeal,” reads the appeal form.

On April 2, 2025, Karmelo Anthony went to Memorial High School looking for a fight. Though he was participating in a track meet, he felt the need to bring a knife in his backpack. When confronted by Austin Metcalf, who told him to leave, Anthony reached into his backpack and said, “Touch me and see what happens.” Metcalf then grabbed Anthony in an attempt to forcibly move him out of the tent. Anthony then used his knife to stab Metcalf in the heart, killing him almost instantly. Touch me and see what happens. This is the ethos

So, that means that we have to be even more intentional in showing up and voting.” So most “real people” (whatever that means) don’t have a REAL ID driver’s license or a passport?

There is growing momentum within the Democratic Party to find its next ObamaCare heading into the midterms, as healthcare costs become more untenable and American anger over affordability persists. Healthcare has consistently ranked as a top issue for voters heading into this year’s midterm elections. June polling from Emerson College found that healthcare ranked in the top five issues for voters, behind the economy, threats to democracy and immigration. The expiration of the enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits dealt a heavy blow to Democrats in Congress, who carried out the longest government shutdown in history to get a vote on extending the subsidies.
