The bottom of the box office barrel for Star Wars is unquestionably Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), which petered out with a $214 million domestic gross and a $179 million overseas gross, for a global total of $393 million. That’s catastrophic math for any blockbuster. For a Star Wars movie, it revealed a major disturbance in the force, and that disturbance went by the name of Kathleen “The Force Is Female” Kennedy. Remember, Solo is a movie that told fans that the legendary Lando Calrissian would be revealed as a robot-humping “pansexual.” I don’t know what a pansexual is. I don’t want to know what a pansexual is.

Democrats have apparently decided that tonight is a good night for riots in Newark. That's the only conclusion one can reach after Newark Mayor Ras Baraka announced that Newark police would no longer be providing security for the Delaney Hall ICE facility, saying it was not their responsibility to maintain order on city property outside the facility. He believes that private security should do the job. I'm not kidding. That is what he said. Baraka said that as increased tensions led to "unnecessary confrontation" with state troopers, the city stepped in and successfully brought calm “without the use of force, tear gas or aggressive policing."

As Americans paying attention—that would include American Thinker readers—know, the media has cherished narratives it defends with mama bear fierceness. Among those narratives is the existence of wide-spread islamophobia. When Islamists attack Jews and others on college campuses, the media wails about the dangers of islamophobia. And when people with Muslim names are attacked, the same wailing rises to mosque tops. Such a horrific hate crime recently took place in Minneapolis, where a Muslim was murdered—oh, the humanity!--[snip] surely a white guy and probably a Jew!—killing an innocent Muslim, and on a Muslim holy day to boot!

Vandals sabotaged generators at an event for President Trump’s Freedom 250 event, according to a spokeswoman — and fuel leached into underground water tanks, contaminating them. A generator fuel line set up for temporary lights for a May 17 event was was cut, causing it to seep into underground cisterns that collect rainwater under the Washington, DC, landmark, Freedom 250 spokeswoman Rachel Reisner told NBC News. “Following the Freedom 250 team’s installation of temporary lighting on the National Mall, our equipment has been repeatedly targeted by vandals. The recent fuel leak was the direct result of that tampering,” she said.

He's racked up endorsements from fellow reality stars as well as famous actors, musicians and media personalities. Despite a growing list of high-profile supporters, Pratt said in an interview on "Gutfeld!" on Thursday that celebrity endorsements are not a priority for his campaign. "I actually don't want celebrities to come out and endorse me," he said, adding the only endorsements he wants are from "the moms and the animal lovers in L.A."

Social Security’s retirement trust fund is projected to become insolvent in 2032, an August 2025 letter from the Social Secutiy Administration’s (SSA) Office of the Chief Actuary read. At that point, the rules of the Social Security Act would make the agency unable to pay full scheduled benefits and require an across-the-board 24% reduction, according to a Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget analysis released Wednesday. The average beneficiary nationwide would lose approximately $500 per month, with retirees

Biden explained during a discussion with political commentator and “The View” co-host Ana Navarro for her new book “View From the East Wing: A Memoir,” that while her husband was still president and had a team of doctors, she mentioned that he was getting up seven times a night to go to the bathroom, and she assumed that someone would follow up on that.

Probably the strangest paragraph in the New York Times ‘sneak preview’ write-up of the Obama Library that some people are calling the Obamalisk because of its general ugliness and ominous blot on the Chicago skyline. More creative folks have compared it to a “Klingon prison”, a “Stalinist vertical gulag” and the Dorian Grey picture of the state of Obama’s soul. And things aren’t that much more cheerful on the inside. So many people who have visited the Obama museum in its “soft launch” have cried that the staff has left out boxes of tissues. “Lots of tears,” said Valerie Jarrett, the chief executive officer of the Obama Foundation. “Lots of tears.”

Here we go again. If you have been following the race for mayor of Los Angeles, you have probably noticed that Spencer Pratt’s lead is slowly being eroded and Nithya Raman, the far left Democratic Socialist (communist) candidate keeps gaining. The explanation for this is very simple. It’s fraud. Raman is benefiting from the state’s system of mail-in ballots, which SOMEHOW always benefits the left. Isn’t it fascinating how ballots that are tabulated after the election always benefit just one side? NBC News recently admitted this on the air, without a hint of irony.

I remember the scene on the Senate floor. The occasion was the vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act—Obamacare. It came down to John McCain, who hated Donald Trump with a burning passion eclipsing common Trump Derangement Syndrome. As one of his final acts on this Earth, McCain, aping every corrupt, movie Roman Emperor, raised his thumb and ominously, slowly, grinning like an evil lunatic, turned it thumbs down. Obamacare—arguably Obama’s most expensive destructive legacy-- was saved, and not because it has ever worked. McCain saved it out of spite. That was only one of Obama’s destructive legacies. And Trump weighed in by posting a photo of the library with a garbage bag on top and homeless encampments surrounding it to Truth Social on Saturday. Trump wrote over the AI-generated image: 'The Barack Hussein Obama Library, in 10 years, when fully matured!'

The federal government's Medicaid program is paying Native American shamans in California $826 a day to perform ancient rituals such as drum circles and spiritual dances to treat drug and alcohol addicts. The alternative treatments are part of Democratic governor Gavin Newsom's embrace of "indigenous knowledge," a pseudoscience that claims Native Americans have mystical healing powers that transcend the realm of traditional medicine. The Biden Department of Health & Human Services gave its approval in October 2024 for California to reimburse Native American "Traditional Healers" with federal Medicaid dollars to treat addicts by drawing on their innate knowledge of ancestral healing rites.
