Since When Have Democrats Ever Been ‘High-Minded’?

Last week, in the wake of the Democrats losing the redistricting battles, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said, “We will beat the far-right extremists. We’re going to win in November, and then we’re going to crush their souls as it relates to the extremism that they are trying to unleash on the American people.” To Politico, this is a sign that Democrats had “ditched the niceties,” calling it “a marked reversal from years of high-minded Democratic rhetoric.” MS NOW reports that “Democrats say they are done playing defense.” “Niceties”? “High-minded rhetoric”? “Playing defense”? When have Democrats ever been like that?

Anthony Fauci can’t escape his ‘origin’al

Dr. Anthony Fauci deserves to be indicted — but he probably won’t be, because his role in the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic that he fought so hard to cover up opens a can of worms that nobody wants to confront. He has his great patron Joe Biden’s blanket preemptive pardon to keep him safe from federal charges. But the recent indictment of his former factotum David Morens on federal charges of conspiracy and records destruction for scheming to cover up Fauci’s role in funding the risky gain-of-function research on bat viruses at the notorious Wuhan lab in China, where the COVID-19 outbreak almost certainly began,

few weeks into President Donald Trump's second term, his crackdown on illegal immigration netted an unexpected yield: a former Cuban fighter pilot who had been allowed into the United States under President Joe Biden and was trying to get permanent residency. The 2025 arrest of Luis Raul Gonzalez-Pardo Rodriguez, officials told Just the News, set in motion an extraordinary set of events inside the U.S. intelligence community, the FBI, and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami that could yield the unveiling of an indictment as early as Wednesday of former Cuban President Raul Castro on murder, conspiracy,

California Republicans are showing a sharp increase in early primary turnout ahead of the state’s upcoming gubernatorial primary, according to newly released ballot return data. Figures from research firm Political Data Inc. show that 905,889 ballots had already been returned as of Saturday. Republicans accounted for 37 percent of those ballots. This marks an 11-point increase compared with the same stage of the 2022 midterm cycle. Democrats accounted for 41 percent of returned ballots, down 13 points from the equivalent point four years ago. Independent and other voters made up 22 percent, up slightly.

As China rolls out the red carpet for President Trump and his high-powered delegation in Beijing this week, the world’s two superpowers are locked in a high-stakes contest that spans trade, technology, military posture, and ideology. President Trump and Chairman Xi Jinping may exchange warm handshakes and speak of “great personal relations,” but both men understand the reality: there can be only one global leader. The contest is real, and the stakes could not be higher. Democratic pundits and their media allies are already spinning a familiar narrative. They insist Trump arrived in Beijing weakened—

Speaking with Mets fan Tomi Lahren on her podcast, Syndergaard addressed the departures of fan favorites Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso. For him, the shift in the locker room reflects something bigger. “It’s kind of also ironic,” Syndergaard told Lahren. “Those two guys are some of the biggest conservatives I’ve played for as well as with, with Jacob deGrom. The craziness that’s going on in New York.” He suggests that former Mets teammates Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso wanted out of the Big Apple because of the election of Zohran Mamdani. “It’s like, those two guys are some of the biggest conservatives I’ve played with, as well as Jacob deGrom.

Back in December, I wrote about a holster protecting a gun from a vehicle fire. That holster, made by Falco, introduced me to the company and the fact that they use heavy-duty leather for many of their offerings. But they also use kydex for some products, which has some advantages, too. Leather is sexier, in my book, but kydex is lighter and thinner. So what do you do? Well, hybrids exist that use both, and Falco has a few already, but in a press release, they announced four more offerings.

Founder and former executive director of Feeding Our Future, Aimee Bock, finds herself sitting in custody as one of the central figures in one of the ugliest COVID-era fraud scandals in America. A federal jury convicted Bock in March 2025 on seven counts tied to wire fraud, conspiracy, bribery, and federal program fraud. Prosecutors said the Minnesota nonprofit helped drive a $250 million money scheme that stole money meant to feed children during the pandemic. Her sentencing before U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel is scheduled for May 31. Now Bock has pointed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.),

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $200,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of former U.S. counterintelligence agent Monica Elfriede Witt, a one-time Air Force intelligence specialist accused of defecting to Iran and providing classified information to the Iranian government. The FBI Washington Field Office announced the renewed reward offer on Thursday, saying Witt remains at large after being charged in a 2019 federal espionage case. Witt, 47, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1997 to 2008 and later worked as a government contractor until 2010. During her military and contracting service, authorities said she had access to SECRET and TOP SECRET intelligence,

In 1979, 1999, 2009, 2017-2018, 2019, 2022, late 2025 and early 2026, the Iranian people rose up in massive nationwide protests against economic collapse, repression, and governance failures. Each time, the regime responded with ruthless massacres... Millions of unarmed civilians, no matter how courageous, cannot easily overcome such force. Iran's regime continues its anti-American posture, support for proxies, and internal repression. It does not seek to reform, it seeks rearmament and revenge. Regime change is therefore not optional; it is essential.

Two recent news items have spurred the return of the tariff issue to the front burner of American politics. First (at the time of writing), President Trump will attend a summit with People’s Republic of China (PRC) President Xi Jinping in May. Second, U.S. Steel has announced plans to resume operations at its Gary, Indiana, tin mill. And, again, one will hear the Free Traders shrilly bemoaning how “tariffs are a tax on consumers.” If one were to honestly accept the Free Traders’ logic that a company passing off its costs of compliance with a federal statute and/or regulation on to consumers constitutes a “tax,”

President Donald Trump is back from China with a very clear message to the Iranian regime. “For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!” Before Trump left for China, it was clear that his patience with the Iranian regime was wearing thin. So if they didn't get it before, they should listen now. It's time to fish or cut bait, and if they do not, they're going to have a very unfortunate 'find out" moment. The Iranian regime still appears to be misbehaving, as they're believed to be behind a serious drone strike

For a sense of how bereft the Democrats are of credible leaders and sensible policy ideas all one has to do is listen to the remarks of former Vice President Kamala Harris on the Win with Black Women podcast. She proposed a “no bad ideas brainstorm” in which Democrats would discuss “What we need to do, and think about doing, around the Electoral College … expanding the Supreme Court … statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.” Harris, whom most polls of Democrat voters show as the front-runner for their party’s 2028 presidential nomination, said this as if offering fresh ideas.

Global elites have shoved “diversity is our strength” down everyone’s collective throats as if people are interchangeable little widgets with no history, roots, culture, and no right to care about the character of their own neighborhoods and country.(snipWhen people feel unheard, they get mad. When they’re told their concerns make them bigots, they get madder. And when every reasonable objection gets shoved into the “you’re a racist” box, they start fighting back. That’s what happened in Lancaster County, South Carolina, where a proposed mosque became the center of a heated fight. In the end, the county denied the permit, but that only happened because the residents literally revolted.

Louisiana Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy missed the runoff in the state’s GOP Senate primary Saturday, ending the reelection hopes of one of the few Senate Republicans who voted to convict President Donald Trump after the January 6 Capitol protest. Trump-backed Rep. Julia Letlow and Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming are now set to advance after no candidate received the majority needed to avoid a June 27 runoff. Cassidy’s defeat is not complicated. In 2021, Cassidy joined Democrats and a small group of establishment Republicans in voting to convict Trump during the second impeachment trial.

Cuba's communist leaders are facing some tough times. The Cuban people are getting good and tired of no electricity, no decent food, no garbage pickup, and the prospect of a jail term if they complain about any of that, and yet the people are taking to the streets anyway. This has to be making the remnants of the old Castro regime nervous. Also making them nervous is President Trump's removal by force of a key Cuban ally, Venezuelan strongman dictator Nicolás Maduro, and the subsequent shutting off of the Venezuelan oil that was helping keep Cuba's energy economy afloat. Could Cuba's El Presidente Miguel Díaz-Canel and his communist cohorts be thinking

Americans may be paying a hidden “lawsuit tax” through higher insurance premiums and higher prices for everyday goods, as trucking companies face rising litigation costs from staged crashes, massive settlements and “nuclear verdicts.” Industry groups and lawsuit abuse critics told the Daily Caller News Foundation that costs from frivolous lawsuits and rising settlements are being passed down to consumers through elevated insurance premiums, higher transportation costs and inflated prices for everyday goods. They argue those costs are especially hitting the trucking industry, where rising commercial insurance premiums can ripple through freight rates, grocery bills, consumer goods and even personal auto insurance premiums. “Abusive litigation practices against the trucking industry

At least six Americans were exposed to Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo, sources with international aid organizations told CBS News, although it was unclear if any had been infected. Three of the Americans faced a high-risk contact or exposure, the sources said, and one was symptomatic. It wasn't immediately clear whether the Americans are still in Congo. The health news organization STAT was first to report on the exposures. The World Health Organization this week declared the Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda a "public health emergency of international concern." At least 80 suspected deaths have been reported, the WHO said Saturday.

If Americans won’t have the meekness to get sick enough ahead of the midterm elections to justify lockdowns and all mail-in ballots, it seems globalists might be willing to manufacture another “global health emergency.” Hopefully Donald Trump and We the People are too smart to fall for that destructive nonsense twice. Naturally, many Americans will ask how an outbreak of Ebola in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) could possibly necessitate the World Health Organization (WHO) assuring the world that it is in imminent danger of Ebola contagion. But if there is one thing we learned from the COVID-19 lockdowns, it is that the WHO

"There's no dispute that it worked, and we didn't have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz," Obama said. (X) Actually, there is a
