We must end this madness. The fact that Americans are now expected to accept taxpayer-funded “transing” of people—especially vulnerable children—as legitimate public policy is beyond absurd. How did we ever arrive at a point where the government not only tolerates but also financially supports puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries? Regardless of where Americans stand on broader cultural debates, taxpayers should never be forced to bankroll permanent medical interventions that carry enormous physical, emotional, and financial consequences. It is irrational, irresponsible, and deeply dangerous. Let’s be honest about what makes this so insane. We do not use public dollars to help people smoke more cigarettes. We do not subsidize alcoholism.

Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof has laundered Hamas propaganda and damaged the Jewish state with his absurd rape dog column. Kristof is sticking with his story, as is the Times. May they both rot in Gehenna.

Minnesota Democrats are advancing legislation that would recognize an “inherent right” for uncultivated wild rice to “exist and thrive,” even as state law continues to uphold expansive abortion “rights.” Senate File 3749 (SF3749), introduced by Senator Mary Kunesh (D-New Brighton) on February 19, 2026, would amend Minnesota’s statute describing the state’s official grain and add language recognizing such a right.
The proposal comes three years after Governor Tim Walz signed the Protect Reproductive Options (PRO) Act into law on January 31, 2023. The law codifies abortion as a “fundamental right” in Minnesota statute, and allows the procedure at any stage when deemed necessary for the mother’s health.

In addition to all the reasons that Kamala Harris was awful, Minnesota Gov. Walz made it all worse with what a joke he was as a candidate. If you become known for the ridiculous things you say rather than for doing anything consequentially good, that could be a problem.
Walz did become known for something consequential, something consequentially bad. He dropped out of running again for governor after the Minnesota fraud scandal exploded. He helped demonize Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and incited radicals in his state against law enforcement.

Even though this will be his last year as governor due to term limits, Ron DeSantis (R) remains a target of Florida's Democrats due in large part to his effectiveness, the fact that he's unapologetically conservative, and his standing firm on the issues that are important to him and a majority of Floridians.
So it was no surprise that amid the marathon session that produced a new congressional map approved by lawmakers on the day of the Louisiana v. Callais SCOTUS ruling, and which DeSantis promptly signed into law, some Democrat state lawmakers staged temper tantrums to protest the map's supposed lack of fairness in representation.

It was a busy week in the news, although, to be honest, a relatively quiet one in meme-world. Trump went to China, the New York Times sank to what could be a new low even for that despicable rag, the Spencer Pratt campaign took Los Angeles by storm, a Hollywood director unveiled a new adaptation of The Odyssey in which Helen is black and Achilles is a woman, the Democrats’ redistricting scheme blew up, for the most part, in their face. But meme-makers responded most to another story, the appearance of the dreaded hantavirus. Here, as someone once said, we go again. And here we go
Not that anyone was watching it, but Whoopi Goldberg had a meltdown on The View this week, and Greg Gutfeld made sure she didn't get away with it.
Whoopi went on this rambling tangent about how nobody is running the country. She torched Kash Patel, Pete Hegseth, and basically every official in the Trump administration. "I have no faith in the people who are running anything," she said. "I don't believe in anybody who is running this country right now."
Of course, none of them were asking for Whoopi’s endorsement or vote of confidence. Not that that mattered. But, of course, she wasn’t done. She went full theater-of-the-absurd
It was another day on The Five, which means another round of Jessica Tarlov losing her mind over something to do with Donald Trump and Greg Gutfeld methodically dismantling every argument she threw at the wall.
On Friday, it started with Tarlov going after Trump's money. She brought up his horrible crime of making money, reportedly $3 billion last year. Gutfeld didn't let her get far.
"He made less money this year than he did when he was out of office," he pointed out.
That did not go over well. Tarlov, voice rising, fired back: "He's the president. You're supposed to have made $400,000."

We saw Democratic lawmakers melting down a week ago over the changes, with state Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) getting into a disturbing exchange with a state trooper. The redistricting redrew a black majority district, the 9th district, which is currently represented by Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen (TN-09). Cohen is not black. He's held the seat for 19 years, since 2007. He's had black Republicans run against him. (X) Now it looks like Cohen is giving up the ghost. He announced that he wouldn't be running again.

Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis commuted the sentence of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters on Friday, shortening her nearly nine-year prison sentence related to the 2020 election.
Peters was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2024 but an appeals court ruled last month that she needs to be resentenced after part of the sentence punished Peters for her protected speech regarding fraud claims in the 2020 election.
Polis denied that the commutation was an attempt to appease President Donald Trump, instead highlighting that Peters was a first-time nonviolent offender who was given an "unusually harsh sentence."
