Something is going to happen, I’m not entirely sure what it is, but something is going to happen on May 8th and 9th as Russia pauses the conflict with Ukraine to celebrate one of their most treasured holidays, Victory Day.My spidey senses are telling me, Ukraine and the EU are planning something very controversial to coincide with this national holiday in the Russian Federation. Germany has done this before, but this time with President Trump pulling back from NATO, this year holds a different context.GERMANY – Berlin police published an administrative order on 6 May restricting freedom of assembly and access to public spaces

Should be interesting. Meanwhile regarding Victory Day, FTA - "The Russian people, ordinarily invisible regular people, take historic photographs of their loved ones lost in World War II and prominently display them. Some cities and towns have marches where citizens carry those photographs during slow processions in silence. " This being the case, Russia's Victory Day parade should be a rather long one given the over one million russian conscripts killed in Ukraine during Putie's senseless war. And the families never even their boys' body back because the russian military operated 24/7 cremations of the dead in order to hide the true carnage of Putie's troops.

Iran’s Oil Storage Clock Is About to
Run Out

The storage clock is ticking as tankers that exported 3.2 million barrels of crude oil per day remain bottled up in Iranian ports due to the blockade by the U.S. Navy. The blockade is part of a global vise denying Tehran $13 billion in monthly revenues and seeking to paralyze Iran’s petroleum industry by forcing it to shut down when it runs out of space to store what it can’t ship. Since U.S. President Donald Trump imposed the blockade on April 13, at least 1.5 million barrels of Iranian oil have been stored every day because there’s no place to move it.

In an interview with investigators on Jan. 24, when asked why someone might commit arson in the Palisades, Rinderknecht “responded that it would be out of resentment of the rich enjoying their money as ‘we’re basically being enslaved by them,’” and again referenced Mangione’s alleged crime, the documents
The Complicated Reality Behind High Gas Prices 6 replies
Posted by earlybird 5/6/2026 10:55:04 AM Post Reply
Average gas prices in the United States have gone up by almost 40 percent since March 1. The reason appears straightforward: Iran has blocked the Strait of Hormuz in response to the U.S. military operation that decapitated its regime and degraded its military. Hundreds of tankers trapped behind the strait cannot deliver their oil, depriving the world of 7 percent to 10 percent of its supply. Although that explains drastic price increases and even shortages in Europe and Asia, the United States gets almost no oil through the strait. In theory, the country should be energy-independent, as it is a net petroleum exporter. But in reality, the United States is highly intertwined

The Supreme Court ruled Monday its prior ruling on race-based congressional districts takes immediate effect. The order {SEE HERE} speeds up the normal 32-day timeline and puts the State of Louisiana on notice their current districts are not constitutional. Effectively the Louisiana Governor and legislature have delayed the election to address the districts. However, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was not happy with the immediacy ruling and wrote a dissent that was so ridiculous none of the other minority justices would sign on to it. Jackson said the majority “unshackles itself” from “constraints.” The court should follow the default rule, she insisted.

Can somebody please explain how Adam Schiff is still slithering around the Swamp like he doesn’t have a care in the world? This man was one of the central figures in one of the ugliest political operations in modern American history. (snip)now an old allegation is making the rounds again, and if it’s true, it takes the Schiff story to a whole different level. The claim, which started back in 2020, is that Schiff knowingly pushed the Russia operation in 2016 because he believed, or was told, that if Hillary won, he’d get the #1 spot at the CIA.

The U.S. Supreme Court temporarily paused a lower court decision on Monday that blocked a federal rule allowing harmful abortion drugs to be shipped by mail. In his order, Associate Justice Samuel Alito entered an administrative stay (“pause”) of a Friday ruling by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. That unanimous decision by a three-judge panel momentarily blocked a Biden-era rule promulgated by the Food and Drug Administration that authorized the dangerous abortion drug mifepristone “to be mailed to women without so much as an in-person doctor appointment,” as The Federalist’s Elle Purnell reported.

When my kids were very young, one of the first words that we banned was “stupid.” No one is stupid, I would tell them; some people just don’t think things through. While I don’t regret teaching the kids not to use “the S word,” as we used to call it, the older I’ve gotten, I’ve had to face the reality that, yes, some people who otherwise are of sound mind are just stupid. Nowhere is this more evident than on social media. The latest example is a social media manager, of all things,

In its recent Callais decision, the Supreme Court held that districts gerrymandered solely so that blacks can have a separate and special say in politics are unconstitutional. While past elections cannot be changed, future elections must be corrected. Callais asked that the Court immediately certify the decision, which is normally a 32-day process. Louisiana agreed. Because November’s elections are quickly approaching, the Supreme Court held that, yes, it could immediately certify the opinion. Callais is final. Assembly Bill 1608 authorizes the high-speed rail’s inspector general to keep some reports out of the public eye. The bill would also allow the inspector general to keep parts of certain reports secret if the report reveals weaknesses that put the high-speed rail project at risk. The bill passed 45 to 18 and now heads to the Senate.
