The president previously called Jeffries a "low IQ person" on Tuesday and said he was always ranting about the war in Iran. MS NOW's Lawrence O'Donnell asked the House Minority Leader to respond to the president's comments.
"Well, it’s an extraordinary insult, but he continues to repeat it. And what’s so ironic is that Donald Trump is clearly the dumbest person ever to sit at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," Jeffries said.
Jeffries said Trump and Republicans have failed America. "But most importantly, Lawrence, this guy and Republicans have completely and totally failed America. They failed on the economy, failed on healthcare, failed on immigration enforcement," he said.

Michigan Democrats had to choose between a Hezbollah-sympathizing radical and a perfectly respectable former Barack Obama attorney.
Given the drift of their party, it wasn’t a difficult choice — it was the virulently anti-Israel extremist all the way. At their convention over the weekend, Democrats selected Amir Makled as their nominee for a seat on the University of Michigan Board of Regents.
A Dearborn, Mich., lawyer, Makled represented pro-Hamas student demonstrators, called for the university to divest from Israel and expressed great respect for anti-Israel terrorists in social media posts.
He reposted X items referring to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah as a “martyr” after he was killed in an Israeli strike.

“Once inside, the group struck the student and damaged university property,” police said.

The damage caused inside the residence hall by the thugs included a smashed monitor at the security desk, ABC6 reported.

Hungarian legislation shielding minors from exposure to LGBTQI+ dogma violates European Union (E.U.) law and hurts respect for human rights and equality, the bloc’s court ruled Tuesday.
The European Court of Justice said Hungary’s legislation, first proposed in 2021 by the government of outgoing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, “stigmatizes and marginalizes” LGBTQI+ persons and their feelings, and fails to uphold the E.U.’s prohibition of discrimination based on sex or sexual orientation, AP reports.
Hungary’s law specifically prohibited the display of content to minors that depicts homosexuality or gender change, while also providing harsher penalties for crimes of pedophilia, and had been challenged for some time by the E.U. and its courts.

Embattled New York Attorney General Letitia James on Friday repeatedly refused to tell The Post why she won’t release her tax returns like other top Democrats in the state did earlier in the week.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Gov. Kathy Hochul have made income tax returns available for review by reporters, but James is refusing to do so — even as she fights back allegations she falsified information on mortgage applications.
The Empire State’s AG bizarrely claimed that the decision to release her own tax return was up to her staff.
“They will make that determination,” a perturbed James repeatedly told The Post

A Mexican national illegal alien accused of randomly setting a New York City apartment building on fire that killed four people and injured seven others, could be released back onto the streets as Department of Homeland Security officials say the city is refusing a request to turn him over to immigration authorities.
Roman Amatitla, 38, of Maspeth, is charged with eight counts of second-degree murder and first-degree arson after allegedly lighting a three-story Flushing building on fire March 16, which he selected at random.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said that on the day of the blaze, Amatitla entered and exited the Avery Avenue building multiple times,

The state of Florida has passed a new law that will require all non-U.S. citizens applying for or renewing their driver's licenses to have a special designation indicating their citizenship status starting on January 1, 2027.
Why it matters
The new law is part of a broader push by Florida to tighten immigration policies and crack down on undocumented residents. Critics argue the measure unfairly singles out non-citizens and could lead to increased discrimination, while supporters say it's a necessary step to verify legal status.
The details
Under the new law, any Florida driver's license or ID card issued to a non-U.S. citizen will display a prominent letter or symbol

Zo’s cheap groceries will cost taxpayers a pretty penny.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s first-unveiled city-owned grocery store will cost a staggering $30 million to build from the ground up at East Harlem’s longstanding La Marqueta, officials confirmed – as local grocers worried it’d gobble up their business.
The new grocery at the longstanding city-owned La Marqueta marketplace will run with a yet-to-be-picked operator reaping the benefits of a rent- and tax-free deal, City Hall officials told The Post on Monday. Mamdani envisions that the low-cost deal — which he anounced during a Sunday celebration of his first 100 days in office -–

In another bit of supposed do-gooding that’s guaranteed to boost costs for regular New Yorkers, City Council progressives are looking to shut down the “last-mile delivery” industry to appease Big Labor.
This would goose customer bills roughly $664 a year — another blow to NYC affordability.
City Councilwoman Tiffany Cabán (D-Queens) wants to slam the small, independent services that contract with Amazon, FedEx, DHL, FreshDirect and other businesses to finalize deliveries from distribution centers, forcing them to directly hire their own drivers simply to make it easier for the Teamsters to unionize these workers.
Many would just respond by moving their centers outside the five boroughs,
