Forget covering protests — some reporters think they should be the ones making the ruckus.
A group of over 250 journalists implored members of the Beltway press corps to “forcefully demonstrate opposition” to President Trump at the ritzy White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.
Trump, 79, is set to attend the swanky dinner for the first time in his presidency. But the group of 250 reporters is demanding that the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) ensure he doesn’t feel welcome. We believe the White House Correspondents Association should take stronger action by issuing — from the podium —

New York City continues its tragic decline under the failed stewardship of buffoonish Mayor Zohran Mamdani, as spotlighted by a disturbing video showing three out-of-shape NYPD officers failing to restrain a subway thug.
The incident, which occurred on a subway platform in the Bronx, underscores how Mamdani‘s embrace of anti-meritocratic DEI hiring practices has eroded public safety and emboldened criminals.
The video, which was originally posted on Instagram, was reposted on X on Monday.
“Three NYPD officers are unable to take down one thug at the Tremont Avenue subway stop in NYC,” an X user observed.

A violent “group of juveniles” allegedly chased a Philadelphia college student across campus and into a residence hall before beating him in a vicious, caught-on-video attack.
The assault happened around 2:50 a.m. Sunday at Temple University, when the teens chased the student into the Morgan Hall South dorm, according to the Temple University Police Department.
“Once inside, the group struck the student and damaged university property,” police said.
The unidentified student sustained minor injuries in the attack and declined medical treatment at the scene.
The damage caused inside the residence hall by the thugs included a smashed monitor at the security desk, ABC6 reported.

Virginia voters on Tuesday approved a redistricting referendum that will allow the state legislature to redraw its congressional maps outside the normal cycle in a manner expected to favor Democrats.
The Associated Press called the contest in favor of the yes campaign just before 9:00 p.m., with 84% of precincts reporting. As of press time, "yes" stood at just over 50% of the vote.
The state currently has six Democratic members of Congress and five Republicans. The planned Democratic map is expected to produce 10 Democratic-leaning seats and one Republican-leaning seat.

Washington — Democratic Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick of Florida resigned from Congress on Tuesday, moments before the House Ethics Committee was set to determine whether she should be sanctioned for allegations of theft and other misconduct.
Cherfilus-McCormick has been charged with stealing nearly $5 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency funds for her campaign and has pleaded not guilty. She was likely to be expelled from the House in the coming days if she had not resigned.
"This was not a fair process," Cherfilus-McCormick said in a statement. "Rather than play these political games, I choose to step away so that I can devote my time to fighting for my neighbors

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that Iran and the United States should reach an agreement similar to former President Barack Obama’s 2015 nuclear deal in order to make peace.
“If the current efforts of the Iranian and American negotiators, which we support, result in something like the 2015 agreement, I think it would be a great success,” Lavrov said at a press conference after meeting with Taher al-Baour, the acting foreign minister of one of Libya’s two governments. Libya was torn in half and became infested with terrorists and warlords after Obama attacked the country in 2011 to change its regime.

The Department of Justice announced Tuesday that a grand jury indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center for making fraudulent payments of millions of dollars to members of the Ku Klux Klan and other neo-Nazi organizations.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said at a news conference that the 11-count indictment filed in an Alabama federal court alleged the left-wing nonprofit had in the past decade paid at least $3 million to eight members of the far-right groups.
One leader of the 2017 Unite the Right protest in Charlottesville, Va., received roughly $270,000 over an eight-year period. Neither that person nor others were identified in the 14-page indictment.

The president previously called Jeffries a "low IQ person" on Tuesday and said he was always ranting about the war in Iran. MS NOW's Lawrence O'Donnell asked the House Minority Leader to respond to the president's comments.
"Well, it’s an extraordinary insult, but he continues to repeat it. And what’s so ironic is that Donald Trump is clearly the dumbest person ever to sit at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," Jeffries said.
Jeffries said Trump and Republicans have failed America. "But most importantly, Lawrence, this guy and Republicans have completely and totally failed America. They failed on the economy, failed on healthcare, failed on immigration enforcement," he said.

Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar blew up at a reporter this week for asking questions about accounting “discrepancies” the Democrat blamed for overstating her net worth by millions of dollars on financial disclosure forms.
In May last year, Omar (D-Minn.) claimed she and her husband, Tim Mynett, held assets worth between $6 million and $30 million. However, an amended filing reported by the Wall Street Journal last week put the couple’s wealth at between $18,004 and $95,000.
The lawmaker claimed the initial filing was riddled with accounting errors.

As he stood center stage in Newark Monday night, Bruce Springsteen was a familiar portrait of rock-god pomp and fervor.
Fans roared with adoration as the resolute Boss opened his Prudential Center concert with the same preamble he’s given each night on his new tour: “The America I love, the America that I’ve written about for 50 years that has been a beacon of hope and liberty around the world is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless and treasonous administration,” he said.
“Tonight we ask all of you to join with us in choosing hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness,

President Trump extended his cease-fire with Iran Tuesday afternoon — after an American negotiating team led by Vice President JD Vance delayed plans to travel to Pakistan for a second round of peace talks.
“Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is seriously fractured, not unexpectedly so and, upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our Attack on the Country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and,

Employees at top secret government labs have suddenly disappeared without a trace across the US, leaving many questioning how and why it has happened.
The circumstances in certain cases have been eerily similar, with three people who all worked in New Mexico suddenly leaving their houses on foot without taking wallets, IDs or essentials with them. A fourth person, an aerospace engineer in California, disappeared on a hiking trail, feet away from her friends.
One common thread links their work — a retired US Air Force Major General who also left his home on foot on the morning of Feb. 27–
