On Monday, China’s Xi Jinping let the mask slip. After weeks remaining largely absent from the diplomatic picture as the US conducted Operation Epic Fury against Iran, Xi called Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman to publicly urge a peaceful reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. At least five Iranian-linked tankers heading from the Gulf of Oman to Malaysia have changed course after the US Navy warned that ships carrying Iranian oil would be intercepted anywhere in the world. Without a clear bully in the ME, peace is going to break out that will have those countries wondering why they have been putting up with terrorism for all of these years. Even China will come out ahead of where they were before. Statues of Donald Trump will be sprouting up everywhere and his only enemies will be US democrats.

Police Aren’t Protecting Us From Antisemitic
Attacks, Say Jewish Leaders

Jewish leaders warned antisemitism in the UK was “gathering momentum” after a projectile was thrown through a window at the Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow, north London. Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiyya (HAYI), an Islamist militant group, said it was behind the attack. It has now claimed responsibility for five incidents targeting Jewish sites in London, including the firebombing of four ambulances in Golders Green in March and a botched drone attack on the Israeli embassy last week. Counter-terror police believe the group could be linked to the Iranian regime and recruiting assailants online with no allegiance to their cause by using “quick cash”.
For the Leadership in Iran, Gaza and Beirut,
What Is the Only Important Outcome?

The US president's negotiations and ceasefires] are viewed by Tehran, Gaza and Beirut as infidels trying to tell Muslims what to do. For them, such a situation is unimaginable, unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to stand. To Iran's current leaders, whoever they are, if Trump carries out his threat to bomb the country's bridges and power plants on Wednesday, so be it. In the view of Iran's theocratic regime, none of that is of any importance so long as it survives, in any form, to be able to continue waging jihad (holy war) against its people, its neighbors and the West.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has yet to endorse a candidate in the Republican primary to succeed him—a silence that some GOP leaders say reflects his longstanding respect for Rep. Byron Donalds. During a podcast appearance with Katie Miller last week, Donalds, R-Fla., revealed that DeSantis once considered him for a top leadership role in the state party. “When Governor DeSantis was elected back in 2018, we had a conversation and he asked if I’d be interested in becoming state party chairman of Florida,” Donalds said. Republican leaders in Florida told The Daily Signal that DeSantis’ past support for Donalds may explain why the outgoing governor has declined to take sides—

Following the leak of the Dobbs draft, liberal Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan reportedly screamed “so loudly” at then-Justice Stephen Breyer that the “wall was shaking.” A draft of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was leaked to Politico’s senior legal reporter Josh Gerstein in May 2022. Via Politico at the time of the leak: “The Supreme Court has voted to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, according to an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito circulated inside the court and obtained by POLITICO.” Justice Alito’s opinion is a “full-throated, unflinching repudiation” Politico said.

A quick glance at the headlines reveals we are in the midst of one of the worst energy crises in history. Both oil and gas prices have spiked because of the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz. UK electricity prices have gone up too. This has led Ember (the same people who came up with Ed Miliband’s promise to cut energy bills by £300) to claim that renewables have cut gas generation compared to March 2021 and saved us £7 million per day. Contracts for Difference (CfDs) work by paying generators the market price for the electricity they produce plus a top up to the contract strike price.

Only after my release from Iran’s notorious Evin prison in 2009 did I begin to learn about the extent of the wide, grassroots support my friend and I received from around the world. At one point, one senior prison official angrily let me know about the huge number of letters of support that were sent to us in prison, though we were never given access to any of them. The number must have been vast, in that it’s believed that the widespread pressure on the Islamic regime was at least in part responsible for our being released from death row,

In an unusually, but inadvertently, honest piece on the Trump Purge of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), which oversees the immigration court system, The New York Times implied that the only way forward with mass deportations was the Stephen Miller-inspired mass public arrests—in the terminology of the immigration law enforcement professional, City Patrol and Area Control, currently called Roving Patrol. More simply, arresting illegal aliens where they appear in public: where day laborers informally congregate, where they operate public businesses like pushcarts, at bus stops,

One of the most persistent and dangerous misreadings of the confrontation with Iran is the stubborn confusion between a brutal ideological regime and the people it has oppressed for nearly five decades. In Western capitals, where moral clarity too often yields to political expediency, this confusion produces a strange paralysis: the fear of "hurting the Iranian people" serves as an excuse to tolerate a regime that has hurt them far more cruelly and systematically than any outside power ever has. In January 2026, the Iranian regime launched one of the deadliest crackdowns in its modern history, with protests met by a "shoot-to-kill" order "by any means necessary,"

Neither far-left late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel nor Stephen Colbert have mentioned the resignation of disgraced Democrat Eric Swalwell in their monologues this week — despite showing big support for him before the congressman’s scandals drove him out of politics. The California Democrat not only resigned his seat in the House on Monday, but he also dropped his bid for California Governor after a growing number of women have come forward to allege that he sexually harassed them — or even sexually assaulted them — throughout his political career.

The White House is working with all relevant agencies to investigate unusual circumstances around several American scientists with knowledge of U.S. secrets – some of whom have either died or gone missing – and “identify any potential commonalities that may exist,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt assured on Friday. At the time, she said she would look into it, and on Friday, she provided an update, confirming the White House is on it,

This week, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas celebrated America’s 250th anniversary by exposing the greatest threat to the Declaration of Independence today—the ideology of Progressivism. “Progressivism was the first mainstream American political movement—with the possible exception of the pro-slavery reactionaries on the eve of the Civil War—to openly oppose the principles of the declaration,” the justice said in a speech at the University of Texas at Austin Wednesday. “Progressives strove to undo the Declaration’s commitment to equality and natural rights, both of which they denied were self-evident.”

By almost any analysis, Christianity is the superior religion. Of all, Christianity reigns supreme. Christianity has positively transformed the entire world. Even now, ill-informed leftists don’t realize most of their thoughts on the dignity of the human and individual freedom -- and hundreds more -- are due to Christianity. Thomas Jefferson noted, “Had the doctrines of Jesus been preached always as pure as they came from his lips, the whole civilized world would now have been Christians.” And if one is going to become a Christian it would seem that His Church, the Catholic Church, should be the choice. The other denominations were

PORTLAND, Maine—Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) campaigned Saturday alongside Graham Platner, the left-wing candidate in the Maine Democratic Senate primary who has praised Hamas and until recently sported a tattoo of a Nazi symbol. Warren said Platner "has the values" to serve in the upper chamber and would bring "accountability" to Washington, D.C. Platner "is a man who not only has the values, but a man who believes in accountability, and we need a little accountability coming out of Washington right now," Warren told attendees at a packed Holiday Inn ballroom. "Billionaires don't want to pay taxes, and nobody in Washington will get in that fight. Well, Graham Platner's gonna."

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is distinguishing herself on the U.S. Supreme Court — and not in a positive way. It’s as though she’s positioned on an island defined by woke ideology, racial justice, and equity, while the other eight justices remain on the mainland of restraint. For proper context, it’s important to know about a case that was in front of her and the other members of the court. The case centered on an early morning police stop in Washington, D.C., where a Metropolitan Police officer responded to a call about what was described as a suspicious vehicle. At around 2 a.m., the officer approached the car, and immediately

The newest Gaza freedom flotilla has come under the spotlight – not because of its stated aim of “breaking the Israeli siege on Gaza” – but because a senior member was accused of sexual misconduct. The scandal began shortly after the flotilla set sail from Barcelona on April 12, when the Palestinian group Heart of Falastin claimed that “a senior member of the flotilla, a member of the steering committee, the highest governing body of the organization, code named B.L. for their protection (not ours), engaged in sexual relations with multiple activists while on the boat heading toward Gaza. Not one person. Not two. Three different individuals.” Heart of Falastin then said,

A great deal of national news coverage concerning Virginia has focused on the attempt by its new Democratic governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her confederates in the General Assembly to circumvent the commonwealth’s constitution in order to radically gerrymander the state’s congressional district map. This maneuver has, however, overshadowed another of their equally dubious legislative actions. A bill proposing that Virginia join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) passed both houses of the General Assembly in February, and Gov. Spanberger signed it into law on April 13.

The Montana Supreme Court struck a blow to biological reality by allowing Montanans who claim to be transgender amend birth certificates and change driver’s licenses to match their self-proclaimed “gender identity.” The state’s high court ruled 5-2 on Tuesday to uphold a lower court’s preliminary injunction of a 2022 policy that mandates Montanans have birth certificates and IDs that match their biological sex. The court ruled that the policy likely goes against the state constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. “Transgender discrimination is, by its very nature, sex discrimination,” the court claimed in its opinion, ultimately rejecting biological reality.

Thanks to having a hometown builder-in-chief in the White House, New York has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create an iconic landmark in the dingiest part of Midtown that would rival Rockefeller Center, Central Park or the Empire State Building. At the same time, the squalid underground rathole we call Penn Station would become an uplifting experience for the hundreds of thousands of downtrodden commuters who feel disrespected every day when they pass through. But the long-promised Penn Station redevelopment still may end up as a mediocre compromise because of the big stumbling block of Madison Square Garden, which sits right on top of everything,

If Democrats want to win in more places, we’ve got to start showing up in more places.
