The news site Semafor sends out 10 newsletters every morning. I subscribe to two of them, both of which feature an item today that is flagged in its lineup as âConflict is US âblunder.ââ Scrolling down to find the story, we learn (bold in original): âAttacking Iran is a far worse blunder for the US than the Iraq war, and the consequences will be much longer lasting, a former Washington ambassador to NATO argued. The ongoing campaign has already upended the global economy, weakened some of Washingtonâs most important alliances, and boosted the long-term prospects of Russia and China âand weâre only three weeks inâŠââ

On Sunday, I wrote about how Code Pink and a bunch of other worthless commies went to Cuba after they put together the "Nuestra AmĂ©rica Convoy," which describes itself as a humanitarian group but is really just some sort of anti-Trump, pro-Cuban regime operation. Cuba's "president," Miguel DĂaz-Canel, rolled out the red carpet at a convention center, and then the group stayed in a five-star well-lit hotel. I say "well-lit' because no one else on the island has power, yet oddly this hotel and convention center do. The convoy also threw themselves a little concert â again, with plenty of electricity to go around â but this

A Maryland man who is a quadruple amputee cornhole champion is facing murder charges for allegedly shooting and killing someone in his vehicle, authorities said.
Dayton James Webber, 27, is accused of fatally shooting the front seat passenger of his vehicle during an argument in La Plata, Maryland, on Sunday and then fleeing to Virginia, according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office.
The victim -- identified as 27-year-old Bradrick Michael Wells -- was found dead in a yard in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, according to the sheriff's office. Two people who were in the back seat of the vehicle witnessed the deadly shooting, the sheriff's office said. Webber allegedly asked them

Jeff Webb, a man seen as a âmentorâ to the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, died Thursday at the age of 76 from a pickleball accident.
Varsity Spirit, the cheerleading organization founded by Webb, announced that Webb suffered from severe head trauma after falling during a pickleball game two weeks before his death. His family eventually decided to take him off life support.
Webb was a conservative political activist and close confidant to Kirk, who died from a gunshot wound to the neck on Sept. 10, 2025. He frequently spoke about Kirkâs impact following the assassination, and once said the nation lost a potential future president.

The family of Sheridan Gorman, the 18-year-old Loyola University Chicago freshman gunned down near the campus by an illegal alien, unleashed a blistering condemnation of anyone suggesting she somehow contributed to her own killing by being in the "wrong place at the wrong time."
The damning response comes as Chicago Alderwoman Maria Hadden suggested Gorman and her friends may have unintentionally startled the armed suspect.
"The kids were out doing normal things people do in the neighborhood," Hadden told Fox 32. "They may have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, running into a person who had a gun."

FDR (with help from the willing press) hid his polio-related paralysis and other health conditions from the public because he didn't want to appear weak. JFK (with help from the willing press) hid his health issues from the public because he didn't want to appear weak. Today's Democrat presidential hopefuls want the public to know they're all hurt little children inside because literally everything is stupid.
Go on and accuse me of indulging in hyperbole â and I'll grant you that not literally everything is stupid â but your 2028 Democrats really are engaged in a contest to present themselves to the public as the most damaged.

There was a time in Americaâs history when acts of treason and espionage were punished properly. In 1951, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage for the Soviet Union under the Espionage Act of 1917. They were executed in 1953.
Today, China is at war with the U.S. Beijing is rapidly building up its conventional military capabilities while conducting an all-encompassing unrestricted warfare campaign against the U.S. and its allies. The U.S. is estimated to lose hundreds of billions of dollars annually due to intellectual property theft and industrial espionage. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses this sensitive information to enrich its military. This is precisely

In its last days, Cubaâs Communist regime is moving from the realm of tragedy into that of farce. Currently, left-wingers from around the world are gathering in Havana to show support for Cubaâs government. Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is there, along with other die-hard Communists. In America, a Code Pink delegation has gotten the most attention. These are horrible people engaged in poverty tourism at great expense. Although I havenât seen it get much attention, Ilhan Omarâs daughter also is reportedly in Havana.
Letâs start with this Facebook post by M.A. Rothman: Text:

As we wrote earlier, the United States Senate is debating and voting as part of a rare weekend session with the ultimate aim of hammering into law free and fair elections across the country with things like voter ID required at the polls, among other common sense items, in the SAVE America Act. As readers likely have seen over time, the Democrats seem to take women for granted for their votes, something that may prove incorrect in the upcoming midterms, after some of today's votes putting them on record.

Facts are a harsh mistress. And nobody seems more incapable of grasping facts than Democrats in general, and New York's Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul in particular. In her latest embarrassing slip-up, the climate law she supported, and the Empire States ever-more-onerous taxes are driving all the wealthy people, the people who start and run businesses and provide jobs, out of the state. Now, because of the green policies, utility rates are climbing, meaning that a big chunk of the rest of the residents of New York are looking to the exits as well.
Now Governor Hochul wants to delay full implementation of the lunatic climate laws,

The international covid shutdowns were among the worst public policy disasters (or crimes) of modern times, and yet there has been no accountability. In the Telegraph, Daniel Hannan sums up the effects of the shutdowns on Britain: âSix years on, the Covid lockdowns are still ruining our lives.â
Was there truly a legal argument about whether a Scotch egg counted as a meal? Were we actually offered guidance on the correct way to have sex (avoid kissing and, if possible, keep your mask on)? And that weird ritual whereby, when restaurants reopened, we would put our masks on to walk to our table and then remove them.

Sun Tzu was a Chinese general who lived around 544â496 BC. He is traditionally regarded as the author of The Art of War, frequently quoted for his good sense concerning the initiation and prosecution of war. In these testing times, it seemed appropriate to have a skim through what he had to say and pick out some of his maxims and consider who, if anyone, has been following them in recent weeks:
All warfare is based on deception.
Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away,
