Two people were injured in a five-vehicle pileup on northbound Interstate 5 in Tumwater on Thursday. A semi driven by Amritpal Singh, 32, of Puyallup in the far left lane reportedly rear-ended another semi in the left lane, driven by Monte R. Willueit, 64, of Spanaway. Willueit’s semi then rear-ended the passenger car in front of it, driven by Paul W. Meyers, 80, of Chehalis. That car then rear-ended two other passenger cars in front of it. One of the cars was driven by Tobias S. Casady, 21, of Kelso, and the other was driven by Ruth J. Elder, 58, of Olympia.

Comments:

No mention of the driver's legal status, and typically, the name 'Singh' pops up. Cancel all CDLs issued to a Singh and cut crashes WAY down.

The trucking company should be sued into bankruptcy. Unfortunately, their insurance company will do most of the payout, but hopefully there won't be high enough limits on their policy to cover all the lawsuits. I just wish the trucking company owners could also be individually sued. They knew very well that they were hiring inexperienced and probably illegal drivers.

I'll give odds that "a semi driven by Amritpal Singh," is a truck driven by an illegal alien who can't speak or read English. This 'Sing' clan name is apparently all truck drivers, and massive numbers are here illegally.

From my limited research, the drivers' work for cover names owned by more Singshs They declare bankruptcy before the lawyers get their briefs on. Rinse and repeat.

A “parents council” the Biden administration promoted as bipartisan was built behind the scenes with ideologically aligned groups, according to internal emails, undercutting its bipartisan claim. Biden's Department of Education framed the National Parents and Families Engagement Council as a coalition meant to reflect a wide range of parent voices during the post-COVID recovery. “The National Parents and Families Engagement Council will help ensure recovery efforts meet students’ needs.” The internal emails, "obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the U.S. Department of Education (ED)," tell a different story. They show officials working with outside organizations to shape the council’s membership,

In 2022, California Gov. Gavin Newsom broke ground on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing (WAWC), a project featuring an overpass for animals atop ten lanes of the 101 Freeway in Southern California. At the ceremony, Newsom boasted that the state had committed $54 million. He promised to “complete the job within another $10 million,” before seeming to hedge on whether that final sum would do the trick. Officials projected a 2025 completion date for the overpass, and estimated that the entire project — which includes the bridge and other ancillary developments — would cost $92 million, some of it coming from private philanthropists.

In recent months, even recent years, we've seen too many one-man crime waves released to the streets by squishy, crook-friendly judges. These goblins are sometimes only back on the streets for a matter of hours before resuming their predations. Well, in Las Vegas, one top cop has decided enough is enough. Confronted with a release order form Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Eric Goodman to release one Joshua Sanchez-Lopez, a crook with 35 arrests to his name, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill took a simple yet powerful step: He refused to comply with the release order, citing the safety of the public.

We’ve seen so much media malfeasance in recent times, but it’s arguably gotten worse since the start of the Iran conflict, as the Fake News mainstream conglomerates have been posting false stories with regularity. Multiple liberal outlets implied or outright alleged that the recent jihadist attempted bomb attack at Gracie Mansion was targeted at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Of course, it had already been verified that the two teen terrorists were trying to indiscriminately maim and kill people attending dueling pro and anti-Iranian regime protests. Meanwhile, the BBC “mistranslated” Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s remarks to say that he said “death to the Iranian people” when he actually said

The Obama Foundation is looking for 100 unpaid volunteers to work alongside the former president’s highly paid cronies at the $850 million Obama Presidential Center in Chicago when it opens in June. Officials are pitching the no-paycheck gigs as rooted in former President Barack Obama’s legacy of civic engagement. The recruitment campaign comes after Fox News Digital reported that the organization’s CEO, former top Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, was paid $740,000 in 2024. Foundation officials told Fox News Digital the volunteers will complement about 300 full- and part-time employees at the long-delayed center, which the organization is promoting as a $3.1 billion economic catalyst for the Windy City’s South Side.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani is floating an extreme new proposal to change the state’s estate tax — a move that would hurt middle-class New Yorkers and their loved ones. The socialist mayor wants to drastically slash the estate tax exemption threshold from the $7 million limit to just $750,000, a drop of more than 90%, according to a memo City Hall recently circulated to Albany lawmakers. The “Tax Revenue Raising Proposals” document is a wish list containing dozens of different tax hikes that could be employed to bail the Big Apple out, according to Bloomberg. In addition to dropping the estate tax exemption —

The mail may soon stop — and not because it’s lost in transit. The cash-strapped United States Postal Service is barreling toward a financial cliff, with Postmaster General David Steiner warning lawmakers the agency could run dry by October — and potentially halt mail delivery altogether by 2027 if Congress doesn’t step in. “At our current rate, we’ll be out of cash in less than 12 months,” Steiner told the House Oversight Subcommittee on Government Operations on March 17. “So in about a year from now, the Postal Service would be unable to deliver the mail.” Translation: no stamps, no service. The grim forecast comes as the USPS continues its long-running losing streak.
