China and Russia Whine After U.N. Condemns
Iran’s Attacks on Neighbors

China and Russia on Thursday expressed their displeasure with the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for condemning Iran’s unprovoked attacks on neighboring countries. UNSC adopted a draft resolution on Thursday sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) that condemned Iran’s attacks on the Gulf states and Jordan. The resolution had overwhelming support, with no less than 135 co-sponsors and no votes against its adoption. The resolution demanded Iran halt its “egregious” and “deplorable” attacks against neighboring states and cease its effort to destroy their energy infrastructure. It pointedly avoided mentioning Israel, which has also been attacked by Iran.
A Lot of Americans Don't Understand Operation
Epic Fury, and the Answer Why Is Obvious

If you have followed Operation Epic Fury closely, you know why the United States has been blowing up Iran's military power, its leadership, and has allied itself with Israel to devastate the Iranian regime. Yet, according to several polls, Americans aren't sure why Trump initiated the operation, and are mostly unaware of how incredibly successful it has been. Aside from the decapitation strikes' successes, people are led to believe that Iran is doing pretty well out of the war. There were a couple of striking findings in the poll, but the one that stands out is that Americans are confused about why we are at war in the first place.
Bessent: US Navy Will Provide Tanker Escorts

Perhaps the US always did plan to provide armed escorts for shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Sky News a little earlier today. The US Navy certainly has had its hands full for the first twelve days of the war on Iran, and most of the assets deployed have focused on force protection rather than commerce protection, particularly from the threat of Iran's ballistic missiles and drones. With the pace of those attacks falling off – and the price of oil rising sharply, even with massive releases from strategic reserves – Bessent wants to reassure markets that, well ... help is on its way:

A heroic ROTC student fatally stabbed the crazed gunman who opened fire inside an Old Dominion University classroom Thursday, preventing further carnage, law enforcement sources said. Shooter Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, 36, gunned down an instructor before the unidentified cadet jumped into action during the frantic scene on the Virginia college campus, according to sources. Jalloh, who was previously convicted of trying to support ISIS, walked into the classroom and asked if it was an ROTC class, sources told The Post. When someone told him it was, he began his trail of bloodshed, which the FBI is investigating as an act of terrorism.

The suspect who rammed a vehicle into a Michigan synagogue is believed to be dead after engaging in gunfire with security personnel on scene. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said he believed the apparent attacker was dead, without providing a cause of death. “We can’t say what killed him at this point, but security did engage the suspect with gunfire” at the synagogue, the sheriff told reporters. A security guard was hit by the vehicle and injured, but he is expected to make a full recovery after receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. “Lockdown is still in place, but the active shooter has been taken down.

The Trump administration has been involved in a months long fight with the University of Pennsylvania. It began when the Trump EEOC asked the university for a list of employees who had experienced anti-Semitism on campus. The school refused and the Trump administration sued to get the information last November. The administration sued the university on Tuesday, arguing that the Ivy League institution has “refused to comply” with a subpoena from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which is investigating antisemitism on the Philadelphia campus. The subpoena seeks contact information for employees who have filed complaints about discrimination based on Jewish faith,

And by "shocking," I mean in a good way. It's been so long since we've seen real journalism and the actual speaking of truth to power that it's almost difficult to process. BBC presenter Laura Kuenssberg sat down with Iran's ambassador to the UK to discuss the war as well as what preceded it, as Ali Mousavi learned to his surprise and displeasure. Kuenssberg started off by noting that "your country is under attack," but almost immediately pressed Mousavi to explain the massacre of civilian protesters. Mousavi seemed initially stunned by the question, attempted to deflect the blame

Will a payroll crisis impact the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the middle of a war and a currency collapse? Either the US or Israel has decided to find out. Earlier today, one or both of the forces targeted the data center that serves the IRGC's bank. The strike came after Iran threatened banking centers in neighboring states, but it's not clear whether this strike is a direct response to that threat. The hit on the Bank Sepah data center will disrupt payrolls for the rank and file, who may not be terribly inclined to fight much longer anyway: The data center of Iran's state-run Bank Sepah was hit

Huge gas lines have been reported in China this week, and Hong Kong residents are joining the logjams by rushing across the border to fill their tanks, as the threat looms of price increases or shortages from the Iran war. The gas-hungry drivers were not overreacting based on mere rumors, as the Chinese government officially announced major price increases for fuel would take effect on Tuesday. Beijing sets floors and ceilings for gas prices, and on Tuesday it raised the ceiling for retail gasoline prices by a little over $100 per metric ton, the highest increase in four years. China has rules about selling off existing retail inventories of gasoline before

Iranian forces have the technology, the ability and the motivation to launch withering drone attacks on targets in California, according to Brett Velicovich, a former US Army intelligence and special operations soldier who spent years using drones to hunt and kill the leaders of ISIS and other terrorist groups. Velicovich said America’s enemy is almost certainly trying to launch an attack on Californian shores with the use of drones. The FBI’s warning to local law enforcement,

In a video posted to Instagram, Biden stated: I entered the role of first lady in a unique time in our nation’s history, in the midst of a pandemic and the shadow of an insurrection. The first six days of war in Iran cost U.S. taxpayers at least $11.3 billion in munitions alone, according to Pentagon estimates reviewed by lawmakers, and experts say the final cost will only increase. That total does not include the cost of operating and maintaining the military force engaged in the war or battle damage sustained from Iran’s attacks. The military used about $5.6 billion in munitions in the first two days of the conflict, according to a person with knowledge of the estimate. The munitions cost was first reported by The Washington Post. The money spent on munitions, and the added expense of any damage done to U.S. military infrastructure

For years, the British £5 note has carried the face of Winston Churchill. The wartime prime minister who rallied Britain during its darkest hour has stared out from wallets and cash registers across the country, a constant reminder of the man who helped lead Britain through World War II. Now the Bank of England is considering scrapping that tradition. And what might replace one of Britain’s most consequential leaders says quite a lot about where parts of the country’s cultural establishment think Britain should be headed. Animals. Plants. Landscapes. Not the people who shaped the nation’s history. Wildlife. The idea surfaced after the Bank of England asked the public what themes they

They’re not on our side. Millions of Republican voters are scratching their heads, wondering why they should send Republicans to Washington, D.C. when they refuse to represent their voters. Voter ID has the approval of 84% of the American public — that’s Democrats and Republicans! But John Thune refuses to pass the legislation with his Republican majority, knowing that the GOP will then lose the midterms. He really owes it to Republican voters to explain why he hates them so much. That’s the least he could do. What a wicked man. Thune was out bloviating about how he can’t pass the SAVE America Act again on Wednesday. This guy is the absolute worst.

It's the fourth time since early February that extremist Democrats have voted to block DHS funding. House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and his minions are literally putting American lives in peril as they continue to throw temper tantrums over not getting their way regarding their preposterous demands

I'm not an optimist, per se. But when it comes to America, I'm an upbeat patriot. I believe wholeheartedly in Americans, the greatness of this country and the strength of our democratic republic – especially when it comes to elections. But I might be alone in this. According to a March NPR/PBS News/Marist Poll, Americans' confidence in fair elections has actually dropped: 34% of Americans have little or no confidence in their elections, up from 24% since 2024. This is why it's so disappointing to see Congress fail over and over to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also known as the SAVE Act or the SAVE America Act.
