I'm not an optimist, per se. But when it comes to America, I'm an upbeat patriot. I believe wholeheartedly in Americans, the greatness of this country and the strength of our democratic republic – especially when it comes to elections. But I might be alone in this. According to a March NPR/PBS News/Marist Poll, Americans' confidence in fair elections has actually dropped: 34% of Americans have little or no confidence in their elections, up from 24% since 2024. This is why it's so disappointing to see Congress fail over and over to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also known as the SAVE Act or the SAVE America Act.

If they don't pass the SAVE Act, how WILL you vote them out? They'll just make votes to negate yours... slave!! If they won't pass the Act, don't bother trying to vote them out. Traitors and betrayers can be dealt with more permanently, and Constitutionally.

The reason people have lost confidence in the ballot is just because the Congress cannot pass the SAVE act. There is no reason anyone who wanted a fair and honest election would not vote for the SAVE act, but yet half of the Senate---the democrat half---does not want fair elections. The logical reason is that they want to cheat. They have cheated before and they will do it again.

Earlier this week, the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) suspended one of its ordained elders, Rev. Stephanie Remington, after learning that she worked for Jeffrey Epstein from 2018-2019. Epstein, a convicted sex offender and suspected sex trafficker, died in his jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019, in what officials ruled a suicide by hanging. The high-profile financier was arrested a month earlier and charged with sex trafficking. Remington worked for Epstein as an administrative assistant and later as a temporary property manager for his private island.

Fourteen days into Operation Epic Fury, the most consequential American military campaign in the Middle East since the invasion of Iraq, the Trump administration has yet to say what victory will actually look like. The president has variously toggled between declaring Iran has “practically nothing left,” indicating that the conflict would be right around the corner, and telling Kentucky rally-goers that we need to “finish the job” so that we don’t have to go back and do this all over again later down the road. The campaign is succeeding, but that will ultimately make little difference if we stop before the job is done.

With the dust literally settling and an acknowledgment that the situation could unexpectedly change, Operation Epic Fury appears to be a success. The U.S. and Israel now control the skies and the seas, and Trump will facilitate the transition to new leadership. In its final death throes, the old regime has shot off missiles every which way, hitting random areas, with diminishing prospects of serious retaliation. Altogether, based on how the campaign has progressed, Iran is on its way to becoming a stable and prosperous republic, or at least a tolerable autocracy that doesn’t sponsor terrorism.

Security experts told the Daily Caller that President Donald Trump’s latest operation in Iran is part of a broader strategy to cripple Tehran’s ability to threaten the U.S. and its allies while also weakening hostile powers that depend on the regime. President Donald Trump announced in an early morning video statement on Feb. 28 that U.S. and Israeli forces had launched major combat operations against Iran under Operation Epic Fury. The experts said the conflict fits Trump’s broader “peace through strength” foreign policy, arguing that a decisive strike on Iran could reshape not only the Middle East, but also America’s posture toward larger adversaries such as China and Russia.

Perhaps the only thing more remarkable than the joint U.S.-Israeli decapitation strike against the Iranian regime on February 28 is the nature of the criticism of the action. Nearly all opponents claim support for the demise of the bloody-handed Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while simultaneously expressing outrage that the operation itself has supposedly violated a litany of laws, norms and other requirements that were necessary to proceed. The most prominent objections are that President Donald Trump acted without first explaining his objectives; that he failed to secure Congressional authorization or the support of America’s international allies; and that he refused to exhaust diplomacy before choosing military options.

The latest chapter in the long saga of government surveillance surrounding President Donald Trump may also be the most brazen. According to recent reporting, in 2022 and 2023 the FBI under the Biden administration obtained the phone records of Kash Patel, who is now director of the FBI, and Susie Wiles, who serves as White House chief of staff. At the time, Patel was acting as Trump’s representative in dealings with the National Archives and Records Administration, while Wiles was managing Trump’s presidential campaign. In one instance, the FBI secretly recorded a conversation between Wiles and her attorney. That category of communication sits at the very core of legal protection

Until last year, for some 46 years, Iran enjoyed a North Korea-like reputation in the heart of the Middle East: always unpredictable, reckless, dangerous, inevitably to be nuclear, self-destructive, and nihilistic. All that said, was it really ever all that formidable? The mullahs came into power after the removal of the Shah and, subsequently, the interim secular socialists. They did so by taking American hostages, murdering opponents, executing former supporters, and transforming the most secular and modern of the Middle East Muslim nations into the most medieval that routinely hung homosexuals, adulterers, and almost anyone who questioned the authority of the ayatollahs.

For those at home and abroad who don’t know what to make of President Donald Trump’s talk of “unconditional surrender” from Tehran and how the next supreme leader is “not going to last long,” allow us to translate: He expects Iran to find leadership that isn’t committed to an insane Islamist agenda. That is, one that won’t seek nuclear weapons and ICBMs, sponsor global terror (including efforts to assassinate him) or work to impose Islamist puppet governments across the Middle East — all at the expense of the long-suffering Iranian people. An imam told worshippers at a Twin Cities mosque that Muslims are the “replacement” for those who once held positions of privilege in America, declaring during a sermon that “this is our moment.” Imam Abdul Malik delivered the remarks on Jan. 23 at the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center in Bloomington, where he urged Muslims in Minnesota to seek positions of influence across American institutions — including mayor, police chief, congressional leadership and even the presidency. “Those that are in opposition to Islam, they’re watching the growth and the development of the Muslim community, and it scares them. You know why? Not because you’re a threat. No,”

“Islam is largely alien to American history—it certainly didn’t come into the United States on the Mayflower,” freshman Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Tex.) observed last month. Gill continued: “It’s something that we deliberately imported as a matter of immigration policy into our country.” Quite right. But who, exactly, is the “we” who implemented such a reckless—indeed, suicidal—act of mass cultural importation? It’s a frustratingly difficult question—and one we ought to be asking, especially in light of recent events. For two years after the Hamas pogrom of Oct. 7, 2023, keffiyeh-clad Muslim students did their best Hitler Youth impressions on American university campuses, clamoring to eliminate the State of Israel and “globalize the intifada”

Occasionally I hear credentialed professionals with prestigious titles whine about the so-called “war on expertise.” It really bothers people who see themselves as “experts” that a growing share of society ignores them. A psychologist might intuit something revealing from the lack of self-confidence plaguing our “expert” class. If all the fancy degrees, voluminous curricula vitae, and lofty career positions have failed to instill a resilient modicum of self-esteem, then perhaps all those things are not the true measures of a person’s worth. “Experts” do not like to be challenged. They say things such as, “I have a PhD in this,”

Yet, according to several polls, Americans aren't sure why Trump initiated the operation, and are mostly unaware of how incredibly successful it has been. Aside from the decapitation strikes' successes, people are led to believe that Iran is doing pretty well out of the war. There were a couple of striking findings in the poll, but the one that stands out is that Americans are confused about why we are at war in the first place.
