I'm not an optimist, per se. But when it comes to America, I'm an upbeat patriot. I believe wholeheartedly in Americans, the greatness of this country and the strength of our democratic republic – especially when it comes to elections. But I might be alone in this. According to a March NPR/PBS News/Marist Poll, Americans' confidence in fair elections has actually dropped: 34% of Americans have little or no confidence in their elections, up from 24% since 2024. This is why it's so disappointing to see Congress fail over and over to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also known as the SAVE Act or the SAVE America Act.

With the dust literally settling and an acknowledgment that the situation could unexpectedly change, Operation Epic Fury appears to be a success. The U.S. and Israel now control the skies and the seas, and Trump will facilitate the transition to new leadership. The experts said the conflict fits Trump’s broader “peace through strength” foreign policy, arguing that a decisive strike on Iran could reshape not only the Middle East, but also America’s posture toward larger adversaries such as China and Russia.
Perhaps the only thing more remarkable than the joint U.S.-Israeli decapitation strike against the Iranian regime on February 28 is the nature of the criticism of the action. Nearly all opponents claim support for the demise of the bloody-handed Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while simultaneously expressing outrage that the operation itself has supposedly violated a litany of laws, norms and other requirements that were necessary to proceed. The most prominent objections are that President Donald Trump acted without first explaining his objectives; that he failed to secure Congressional authorization or the support of America’s international allies; and that he refused to exhaust diplomacy before choosing military options.

Approximately 1,700 Kansans who claim to be another sex than they actually are have had their driver’s licenses revoked after a state law banning ID changes based on “gender identity” went into effect last month.
