What If Carney Were Maduro-ed?

There are times when I, too, like some Canadian supporters of President Donald Trump, could wish he kept a tighter zip on his mouth. His referring to Justin Trudeau as “Governor” and his speculating on incorporating Canada as the 51st state cost us a Conservative administration, as Canadians fell for Liberal Mark Carney’s shameful rhetoric respecting the sanctity of Canadian nationhood. Carney, like the electorate, conveniently forgot that, according to his predecessor’s New York Times op-ed, Canada is the first post-national state with no core identity. No matter. Suddenly, we are flag-wavers again, and America, the defender of Western civilization, is now a violent and unrestrained hegemon

Sorry, David, but the only people who elected Carney are the Canadians. Don’t blame your stupidity and pettiness on us or our president. Leaders all over the world trash our country, threaten us and try to bully us into policy. None of it affects how I vote. Spare me all the Trump is responsible for people’s moronic choices comments.

Methinks the USA should close the northern border put Canada on the enemies list then just ignore it until it dies. They provide nothing to America that we cannot do very well without!

Around the world, “trans” ideology has collapsed and medical professionals are stepping back from chemical and surgical interventions on young people. This is obviously a good thing, in my opinion, but there is much gnashing of teeth on the Left. The New York Times runs a piece by a liberal that focuses on how the purported scientific consensus on behalf of child mutilation fell apart: American advocates for youth gender medicine have insisted for years that overwhelming evidence favors providing gender dysphoric youth with puberty blockers, hormones and, in the case of biological females, surgery to remove their breasts.

Next month the most important political book of the year, or perhaps the decade, will be published. It is called The Information State: Politics in the Age of Total Control. The author is Jacob Siegel, a journalist for the Tablet. To summarize: shocked by the arrival of Donald Trump in 2016, American government officials, the media, and the technology giants created a system of censoring the public, spying on other opponents, and planting false stories. The media was complicit and will never fully recover. Trump’s rise, Siegel writes, “meant that politics had become war, as it is in many parts of the world,

California's progressives must really hate children. I don't know how else to explain this one. One of the dumber laws passed in California (and that's saying something) over the past decade is one designed to give parole hearings to elderly convicts. Initially, anyone who has served more than 25 years and was over 60 years old was given a second chance at freedom whether they deserved it or not. And the law led to absurd results like this one from way back in 2019: Victims of the notorious “Ski Mask Rapist” thought they could close the book on him after he was sentenced to more than 400 years in prison

I was once asked by my father—a couple of years ago—if there was a single Democrat in office whom I respected. The answer was easy: Ro Khanna. Obviously, I agree with Khanna on very few things and strongly oppose his positions on most public policy issues. But I thought Khanna was smart, honest, and well-meaning, and one of the few politicians who didn't lie his arse off all the time. I could see having a conversation with him without feeling the need for a long, hot shower. Welp. Another one bites the dust. Now that Khanna is obviously preparing to run for president, he has sold his soul to the devil,

I have been following debates over global warming since the 1990s. In the early days, the oil companies defended themselves both by challenging the bad science underlying the global warming theory and by pointing out the benefits of increasing CO2 in the atmosphere. At one time I had a VHS documentary called “The Greening of Planet Earth” on that topic. The benefits of CO2 are indisputable, as anyone who knows anything about photosynthesis–i.e. everyone who went to school before the collapse of recent years–will understand. The Sahara Desert is shrinking, while the rain forests are becoming more lush. That is the theme of this article by a NASA scientist: “Satellite

"This is AI slop. It is impossible that Newsom actually said this," social scientist Charles Murray posted in response to California Gov. Gavin Newsom's latest ham-fisted attempt at connecting with voters outside his state. "Right?" Murray added, and you could practically hear him begging for it not to be true. "Holy God in heaven please tell me that my black brothers in Christ can look at the world's stupidest white man and understand that he is a bad person," my old X acquaintance Political Math added. The "French far-left"? What the hell did those starry-eyed peace-and-love idealists do to deserve that designation? Well, just a few hours north of where I chance to be, on the streets of Lyons, they beat a guy to death: Quentin Deranque. - or, if you read the worthless French newspapers, merely "Quentin D", it being a convention in the Gallic press that the dead should be rendered anonymous and generic even in their own slaughter. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly taken steps to prepare for the possibility of his assassination or removal as tensions with the United States and Israel intensify. According to a New York Times report published on Sunday, Khamenei elevated longtime ally Ali Larijani to serve as the country’s de facto decision-maker during January’s anti-government unrest. The move has effectively sidelined Iran’s elected president, Masoud Pezeshkian. Larijani, a former Revolutionary Guards commander and current secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, is now taking on an expanded role in the state’s affairs.

President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union speech gave every American a front-row seat to see exactly who Democrats are — and more importantly, what they refuse to stand for. According to reports, more than 70 Democrats chose not to attend the speech, but most did, and several times over the course of the evening, they made a choice. They sat. They scowled. They heckled. While Republicans rose time and again in applause, the left side of the chamber looked like a group of children being punished. And Trump noticed. He called them out — repeatedly — for refusing to show even the most basic bipartisan enthusiasm for moments

President Trump's State of the Union speech Tuesday night got extra heated when he relentlessly called out Democrats for supporting sanctuary city policies and refusing to stand for the American people over criminal illegal aliens. Literally, refusing to stand. The President challenged Democrats to affirm their support for the American people over illegal immigrants. And they just couldn't do it. "I'm inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle," he said, glaring at the Democrat side of the room. "If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support." The principle?

Wild video shows masked ruffians blatantly attacking a police cruiser while an officer was inside during a chaotic street takeover in Maryland. Video and witness accounts show drivers swarming the intersection of East West Highway and Connecticut Avenue shortly after midnight Feb. 22 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, blocking traffic in all directions and performing high-speed “donuts” as onlookers stood in the roadway. Montgomery County police said it started around 12:39 a.m., when a large caravan of vehicles tied to takeover activity was spotted heading toward the Silver Spring central business district. Officers moved to monitor the group and closed several intersections to limit access and protect the public.

By now, the video has gone viral with Trump asking a simple question: “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants.” With great timing and a gift for performance and storytelling, Trump pauses and lets the applause grow. He luxuriated in the moment as the Democrats sat there, stone-faced, thinking it would play well at MS-Now. It probably will. Trump wanted all of America to see it and remember it. He set a trap. They walked right into it. “You should be ashamed,” he said.

It’s no secret that in today’s Hollywood, artistic risk-taking often comes second to woke ideological conformity. Censorship, virtue signaling, and overprescribed outrage have become show-business-as-usual. Studios trip over themselves to inject far-left political messaging into nearly every script, award shows have become lectures, and entire careers can be derailed by a single viral moment that stokes a campaign of indignation. The industry’s obsession has created a climate where self-censorship is the norm and challenging the narrative is a career hazard.

For decades, we have been told that America needs foreign labor to "do the jobs Americans won't do." For Democrats and the left, that usually translates to illegal immigrants. But in the wake of President Donald Trump's closing of the southern border and the deportation of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, it turns out that there are plenty of jobs that Americans are willing to do, and a new survey seems to be bearing that out in at least one state. The new survey by the Federal Reserve Bank in Texas shows that many companies in the Lone Star State are reducing their dependence on foreign labor.
