During an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday, Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Bradley Jaye asked why the State of the Union is “so important” and why so many people tune in to watch it. Bednar explained that “the electricity in the room is incredible.” First of all, it’s just — the electricity in the room is incredible. You have the president, you have the Cabinet, you have Members of Congress, and special guests. They really all tie the room together. And, it’s just an opportunity where, actually, Americans can come and celebrate, not just the policies, not just the wins, but actually, just come together …

On Sunday, we reported on the developing mess in Mexico: The resort town of Puerto Vallarta locked down, travel warnings, tourists "advised" to stay within the resorts, to shelter in place. There were rumors that the fighting was kicked off by the Mexican military's killing a notorious cartel goblin, Ruben "Nemesio" Oseguera Cervantes, known as "El Mencho," leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). That killing has now been confirmed. Now, over Sunday night, Mexico is plunged into warfare between the Mexican government and the cartels; the military is again involved, and there are indications that the cartels may have the government outgunned.

Don’t worry: Friday’s Supreme Court decision limiting some of President Donald Trump’s tariff powers won’t derail his larger, vital project of rebalancing US trade relations, boosting US industry and safeguarding US supply chains — nor should it.
Yes, he’ll need to find other ways (more permanent and legally airtight) to pursue those goals, but the high court’s ruling against his across-the-board tariffs illegal also made it clear he has many such tools at his disposal — including other tariff powers.
Even many of his allies warned that imposing import duties under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act was legally dubious; other more “durable” laws give him lots of leeway,

The bank admitted on Friday that “more than 50 Trump accounts” were cut off in February 2021, weeks after the January 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol, according to the New York Times.
The revelation by JPMorgan came after Trump “and the Trump Organization” filed a lawsuit in January against JPMorgan Chase and its CEO, Jamie Dimon, for having debanked the president, according to the outlet.
Per the outlet, accounts that JPMorgan reportedly “debanked” were accounts “for Trump hotels, housing developments and retail shops” in several states, along with “Trump’s personal private banking relationship that handled his inheritance:”

Since Liberation Day, there’s about $175 billion in tariff revenue that is now in limbo. Do you have to refund $175 billion?” Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked.
“Very fair question. They take months and months to write an opinion, and they don’t even discuss that point. We’ve taken in hundreds of billions of dollars, not millions, hundreds of billions of dollars,” Trump said.
“Wouldn’t you think they would have put one sentence in there saying that ‘Keep the money or don’t keep the money,’ right? I guess it has to get litigated for the next two years,” he added.
He slammed the decision, in which Chief Justice John Roberts,

The trip that former President Ronald Reagan took to Europe in June of 1987 culminated in one of the greatest speeches of the last century -- but its first major moment was a visit to the Vatican.
On June 3, 1987, Reagan and first lady Nancy Reagan flew to Venice, Italy. Shortly before midnight, they arrived at the Villa Condulmer, where they would stay for several days.
"Finished evening with old John Wayne movie," Reagan wrote the next day in his diary.
The day after that, he delivered a television address broadcast in Western Europe by the U.S. Information Agency on its WORLDNET satellite television channels.

A good catch by Chuck Ross at WFB drawing attention to the latest Amici curiae appointed to the FISA Court.Adding to a string of leftist ‘advisors to the court’ Jennifer Daskal has been appointed by FISA Court Presiding Judge Anthony Trenga.
Daskal was the Biden administration principal deputy general counsel at the Department of Homeland Security who launched the Disinformation Governance Board (Ministry of Truth) ultimately led by Nina Jankowicz.
Jennifer Daskal’s career has centers around controlling information from a leftist perspective and was one of the core officials who used the term dis-mis-mal-information to censor speech on social media platforms around COVID-19 and the vaccination protocol.

A significant chunk of the money that should be spent on educating all children is being hoovered up by the special educational needs system, and it is increasingly being gamed by sharp-elbowed middle-class parents.
A report published last week by the think-tank Policy Exchange lays bare what many working in children’s services have suspected for some time. SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) spending has risen in real terms by 58.5% in the last six years, with a greater rise – 65% – in wealthier local authorities compared to poorer areas, where it increased by 51%.

It is hard to see public education in America as anything more than indoctrination factories. The latest efforts to push a far-left agenda are unfolding in anti-ICE rhetoric and demonstrations taking place at schools across the country, spurred on by teachers and administrators.
Now, remarks by Zander Moricz, Executive Director and Founder of the Social Equity and Education (SEE) Alliance at a February 2026 press conference hosted by the Florida Education Association (FEA), Zander Moricz, Executive Director and Founder of the Social Equity and Education (SEE) Alliance, are making headlines.
Moricz suggests that children protesting ICE is ‘required.’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-N.Y.) appearance at the Munich Security Conference has drawn a mixed response from members of her own party, underscoring a potential vulnerability of hers amid speculation she could mount a presidential run in the future.
The New York congresswoman took part in the annual international security conference alongside world leaders — including other potential 2028 contenders such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) — last week, bringing her progressive, working-class platform to the global stage.

They’re all useful idiots.
That must have been Roger Goodell’s opinion of typical NFL fans as he force-fed them Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show — a seamy spectacle that made parents cringe and would make a lefty college professor proud.
And the NFL commissioner may have a point. The typical NFL fan — who skews right of center politically, a male and often a Trump voter — appears to be a glutton for left-wing punishment.
In fact, the Bad Bunny fiasco appears to be symptomatic of the NFL’s broader, cynical business wager: It believes all those working-class white dudes who voted for Trump — those useful idiots —
