After weeks of waiting, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump administration in a decision addressing whether President Trump had authority to impose sweeping tariffs without congressional approval. At the heart of the issue was whether President Trump had such authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), a law that allows presidents to take economic actions during a national emergency and to impose broad tariffs without Congress passing tariff laws.
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump exceeded his authority

Kamala Harris is topping some new polls of Democratic White House contenders, a sign the former vice president and 2024 presidential nominee has staying power despite her defeat to President Trump. It’s a reality that flies in the face of some of the talk after that race, in which Democrats talked about turning the page, with some calling for the party to move on from a stale playbook and to look for new leaders. It all underscores the paradox Democrats are facing in their rebuilding efforts: Which parts of their messaging and leadership do they want to overhaul, and what

A Virginia high school suspended more than 300 teens who ditched class and stormed off campus during a student-led anti-ICE walkout last week, according to reports.
Woodbridge High School handed three-day suspensions to 303 students who walked out of class last Friday to “express their views” and protest federal immigration enforcement, principal Dr. Heather Abney told parents in a letter obtained by 7 News.
The demonstration, which was not backed by Prince William County Public Schools, eventually spilled off school grounds and onto the streets, forcing local police to manage traffic and oversee the hundreds of rebel students involved.

We’ve seen the 2016 anti-Trump rallies, the 2020 George Floyd riots, and the ongoing anti-ICE protests in blue cities since President Trump started trying to clean up the illegal immigration disaster left by former President Joe Biden. There’s been one constant: Antifa.
The group, whose name is short for anti-fascist, is known for their menacing black outfits, complete with masks, and their often violent behavior. They show up as if by magic the moment a demonstration breaks out, and they’re not there to keep the peace.
But where does their funding come from? Who’s behind it?

The Supreme Court on Friday struck down President Trump’s tariffs after finding the International Emergency Economic Powers Act did not give him the power to impose sweeping protectionist measures.
The Court upheld an earlier federal circuit court ruling in a 6-3 decision, with Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Brett Kavanaugh dissenting.
“Based on two words separated by 16 others in … IEEPA,” Chief Justice John Roberts writes, “‘regulate’ and ‘importation’–the President asserts the independent power to impose tariffs on imports from any country, of any product, at any rate, for any amount of time.

Gallo, a major wine manufacturer, announced the closure of a large Napa Valley production facility and the elimination of nearly 100 jobs across Napa and Sonoma counties — a stark sign of the shifting landscape around alcohol consumption in America.
Considered the world’s largest winemaker by volume, Gallo filed a “warning” notice with the California Employment Development Department on Feb. 12, confirming it will permanently pull the cork on The Ranch Winery in St. Helena. The closure will leave 56 workers high and dry by April 15.

Sometimes, it takes the simplest thing to wake up the public to just how radical an ideology is.
And that’s a lesson jihadist Nerdeen Kiswani just learned when she posted about how people shouldn’t have pet dogs.
Kiswani, for those just tuning in, is a virulent Jew-hating Islamist who is co-founder of a group called Within Our Lifetime (WOL), whose mission is eradicate Israel from the map and which features a photo of a protestor carrying a “globalize the intifada” sign on its homepage.
This is a person who:

MINNEAPOLIS — The middle of winter – especially January – is not always kind to restaurant owners. Just ask Gavin Kaysen. "It's usually the slower time of year," Kaysen, whose Soigné Hospitality restaurant group owns several Minneapolis restaurants. "You couple that with really cold weather, that doesn't help, and then you add everything else that has happened to us." (Snip) "Majority of all of my colleagues have seen 30 to 50% decline, you know, 30% probably on the weekends, 50% during the weekdays," he said. "It's a nonsustainable future." Kaysen says his restaurant, Spoon and Stable, lost more than $70,000

Sometimes politicians accidentally say their innermost thoughts out loud. It is rarely smart. But sometimes it is strategic. It sends a signal to their voters: elect us, and we will crush MAGA.
Honestly, that kind of message often lands harder than any polished campaign speech ever could.A new clip catching fire online features former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice laying out what sounds exactly like that… it’s clearly a threat, a promise, and a warning shot. She’s vowing to take down any corporations or institutions that she thinks “took a knee to Trump.”

Last month, the Colorado Court of Appeals heard the appeal of 70-year-old former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters. Peters is serving over 9 years following her August 2024 conviction at La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo, Colorado.(snip)On Wednesday, Peters was denied bond by the very same court. The president issued his announcement via his Truth Social account on Thursday.
“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” Trump wrote.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas challenged an interpretation made by Justice Neil Gorsuch as the two conservatives landed on opposite sides of a major decision on President Donald Trump’s tariff authority. (snip)Gorsuch discussed two early congressional debates in his concurring opinion to show rejections of expanding presidential power in early U.S. history.(snip)Thomas disagreed with Gorsuch’s interpretation of early history, writing, “Justice Gorsuch’s interpretation of two 'early congressional debates,’... is thus difficult to reconcile with what early Congresses actually did.”
He continued: “Since the 1790s, Congress has consistently delegated to the President power over foreign commerce, including the power to impose duties on imports."
