Wes Moore 2028 Drowning in River of Bull****

Democrat Wes Moore's presidential ambitions imploded over the past 10 weeks, but you'd have to be a pretty close student of the Maryland governor to know it, since most of the mainstream press is in cahoots with the aspiring 2028 Democratic presidential cohort. Our Andrew Kerr has published two blockbuster investigative reports about Moore that undercut key elements of his life story—first, his boasts about being some kind of a "foremost expert" on radical Islam, based on an Oxford University graduate thesis that he can't produce and that the school doesn't have on file in its library, and second, his oft-repeated tale that his great-grandfather was chased out of the country

Moore obviously wants to be the next Obama, possibly even more than Cory Booker in New Jersey wants it. Obama's story includes much that could be called legend or narrative. Moore's more similar to Soetoro than he thinks. That's anything but good. Related to the article is this post on Power Line: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2026/02/a-man-in-bull.php Also related, today Harry G. Frankfurt's On Bull**** (not bleeped out in the book) will arrive. One of the book's theses--rhymes with--is that BS is worse than lying. It will be interesting to see how the author defends that statement. He may be right. People who BS (somewhat) successfully tend to be highly intelligent, providing armor against everything but fact. Those who aren't in the top 2% of American IQs shouldn't even attempt BSing. Makes them look as intellectually theadbare as, say, AOC.

Seems like every Dem has to invent a creative biography. Kamalala had to ride in the back of the bus - in Berkeley no less! Old Joe battled Corn Pop with iron chains are rusty railroad spikes. But Obama took the cake - even changing his name from Barry Soetoro to a move exotic sounding Barack Obama.

Thanks to liberals, the term “racist” has lost all meaning and impact. “Prejudiced” has, too. As a friend once told me, “all my prejudices were earned.”

Re #1 Unlike the original "composite character" Barack Obama, we don't need to wait until Moore completes two terms in office to learn that his self-portrayal is largely fictional

Where is this broken pipe located? Is it in Maryland, or in D.C.? If it's located in D.C., then it's not Maryland's or Moore's problem or responsibility to get it repaired. If it's in Maryland, then Maryland taxpayers might want to hold onto their wallets tighter because the democraps and Moore will increase fees on something in Maryland to pay for it.

Obama Center Gets Even Uglier As Massive

The Obama Presidential Center has taken plenty of heat, mostly because it’s one of the ugliest buildings humanity has ever produced. Soviet architects would be in awe of the brutalist, menacing design of the $850 million ode to the 44th president. But what some have termed a “Klingon prison” just got weirder and, if possible, less attractive with the addition of a colossal display on its sides with words from the former president’s 2015 speech in Selma, Alabama. It might be inspiring — if you could actually read it: (X) “Not the ideal design.” Well, that’s certainly a contestant for understatement of the year. “I gave up after developing a headache

Kansas Is Right to Put Citizenship on
Driver's Licenses

The Kansas House has drawn a clear line with House Bill 2448. The measure would require every driver's license in the state to list the holder’s citizenship status, with a different design for noncitizens, and it has passed the House over loud objections from Democrats and advocacy groups. Supporters say it is about election integrity and basic clarity in government records, and they are right. This is not some sweeping crackdown on people who are here legally. Kansas already verifies legal presence when it issues licenses, and noncitizens can receive temporary licenses under current law. What the bill does is close a real administrative gap.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed in Munich this week, no doubt trying to fluff her "foreign policy credentials" for a potential 2028 presidential run. If you know anything about the socialist congresswoman, it went about as well as you'd expect. Putting aside the shallowness of American politics, which apparently counts simply saying stuff at a security conference as real-world experience, Ocasio-Cortez clearly had a plan. She'd show up, riff a bit about billionaires, and claim democracy is under threat around the globe. It was supposed to be easy, but you know what they say about plans. Hillary Clinton, a former all-star American leader, took the stage in Munich expecting a stroll on familiar ground. The setting felt friendly, the crowd leaned globalist, and the talking points seemed well-rehearsed. Then a Czech politician, calmly stepping outside the approved script, asked a question that didn't flatter the room. It was as if a thousand voices in the Force suddenly vanished; the room's temperature changed. Czech Deputy Prime Minister Petr Macinka challenged prevailing narratives on sovereignty, migration, and Western leadership. He spoke; he didn't shout. He didn't posture, he simply disagreed. Clinton's composure tightened as her facial expression stiffened.

My colleagues Stephen Kruiser and David Manney both captured a uniquely "Hillary moment" that happened over the weekend. Here's how David described Clinton’s panel discussion appearance at the Munich Security Conference: Hillary Clinton, a former all-star American leader, took the stage in Munich expecting a stroll on familiar ground. The disclosures from the Epstein files have been enlightening to say the least, particularly if you wonder if you are seeing what you think you're seeing. More to the point, do you remember that 2023 lawsuit against candidate Donald Trump from E. Jean Carroll? That’s the one where Carroll, who is now 82 years old, waited all these years and, after two of Trump’s presidential races and one term as president, decided to sue the billionaire on allegations of defamation, rape, and sexual abuse. The case was mostly based on unsubstantiated accusations that Trump sexually abused and raped Carroll in 1996, 23 years earlier.

Team Trump and other Republicans decided to use Valentine's Day as an excuse to have a lighthearted time of things on social media, with simple parodies of classic holiday greeting cards to complex videos with policy messaging included within their love letter-esque form. We'll start with the least engaging posts first, as well-meaning and good-natured in spirit as they might be. Republicans on the House Oversight Committee reminded everyone with their missive for the holiday that former President Joe Biden (or someone at the White House acting on his behalf) used that autopen a little too often:

Former Secretary of State and twice-filed presidential candidate headlined a panel at the Munich Security Conference Saturday called “Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights: Fighting the Global Pushback.” After railing against supposed “anti-gender” and "anti-rights” movements that threaten females, Clinton turned the microphone over to her second guest — the first "female" one — openly transgender lawmaker Rep. Sarah McBride (DE-at-large). Clinton said McBride is someone who tried "to explain and truly bring people together around issues of gender.” “She’s a gender rights champion,” the one-time First Lady proclaimed. McBride wasted no time in blasting the United States for its supposed war on transgenders:

These are only some of the actual words a boorish, self-entitled woke woman told a deputy sheriff while interrogating him about why he was sitting in his car outside of a school in Thurston County, Wash. It was an exchange she recorded and consciously put on social media to show the world her "bravery" in speaking truth to power. And it completely backfired on her. We have every right to ask questions of law enforcement, but this woman's moment of "bravery" instead outside of Seven Oaks Elementary School looked studied and mean. What she actually

In one of the most insulting moves ever, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is introducing legislation to make the LGBTQ pride flag a congressionally authorized symbol, giving it the same federal protections as the U.S. flag, military flags, and POW/MIA flags. Yes, you read that right. Chuck Schumer wants the pride flag to have the same status as Old Glory and the flags honoring those who served and sacrificed for this country. Schumer's legislative push comes in direct response to the Trump administration's removal of the Pride flag from the Stonewall National Monument outside the Stonewall Inn earlier this month.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is facing widespread ridicule after making a series of embarrassing gaffes in Germany that highlighted her ignorance in foreign policy. On Friday, she spoke at the Munich Security Conference where she was questioned about the United States defending Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion. AOC’s performance suggests she is not quite ready for the world stage. When asked directly by Bloomberg TV’s Francine Lacqua, “Would and should the U.S. actually commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move?,” the congresswoman gave a halting, word-salad response filled with pregnant pauses and qualifiers to avoid a clear yes or no answer.
