Redistricting Betrayal in Virginia

Newscum did this late last year with his bogus Prop 50 election. Our independent redistricting commission was passed by the voters over ten years ago. Even as it was, Republicans only held a handful of seats in California's large Congressional representation. Now we have one. About 45% of this state has no federal representation. Virginia was next up, and then any Dim controlled state that has an independent redistricting commission will face the same result. The Dims always use California as their laboratory and testing ground, before taking tactics to the national level. I have often wondered why the Dims chose California to destroy first. It could be because we gave the country President Ronald Reagan. I don't know how this can be stopped or at least contained. I hope President Trump is able to show us the way out of this maze of lies. MAGA - Then MCGA...Make California Golden Again

It's a free country, so coercion is frowned upon, but sometimes I wish we could slap some sense into these people.

Virginia use to be a red state. What really happened was the democrats that lived in Maryland destroyed that state and moved to Virginia. Now the Maryland democrats are living in Virginia and you will see the same destruction happen to Virginia that happened to Maryland. Maryland is a disgusting mess. #3 is correct, the people of Virginia will have to live with it.

Of course, Virginia voted for it and has to live with it. But that’s not where the story ends. Policies like this will change the makeup of Congress and we will ALL have to live with it!

So sad, but some of those rodents fleeing the destruction they caused are migrating to NC, SC, GA, and Florida. Given that they love abortion, it's amazing they haven't depleted themselves, but they just indoctrinate the youth that survive their abortion knives and the children of conservatives and independents. Yes, Virginia has to live with the current political party, but as a Virginian in the southern part of the state, I didn't vote for Abby. The northern part of the state put them there.

No #3 - registered Democrats voted for this - not all Virginians. And once again, unlike Republicans at either the state or federal level, the Dems when they win have their agenda ready to go on day one. And without the SAVE Act, there will be no need for this as every illegal alien will be registered to vote Dem.

Can Republican counties join West Virginia? Another state that is being changed is New York. They keep losing districts and usually they are Republican. In the end there will be 20 Congressional districts in New York. 19 of them will be around NYC, and one for the rest of the state. All will be Democrat. It's becoming a standard Democratic tactic. Representative government, Democrat style. Some people should be more represented than others. Now if they would only represent the people that elected them in the first place.

The SAVE Act: Why Are Senate Republicans Dithering? 13 replies

In almost all midterm congressional elections, the President’s party loses seats in the House of Representatives. The only exceptions occurred in 1902, 1934, 1998, and 2002. This obviously means the razor thin Republican House majority — and thus the GOP’s governing trifecta — will be in considerable peril next November. This being the case, common sense dictates that certain crucial bills should be prioritized by Congress and sent to President Trump’s desk for signature post haste. Considering the insecure and chaotic manner in which federal elections are conducted in blue states, the SAVE Act clearly falls into the must pass category.

In a big blow to the Trump-deranged community, Melania Trump’s eponymous movie knocked the lights out on its opening weekend. It came in at No. 3 overall, and its $7 million box office take in three days is almost unheard of for a documentary. “Melania” is crushing it on Rotten Tomatoes, too, with a 99% audience score on the “popcornometer” easily besting the sneering critics’ 10% on the Tomatometer ratings. Like everything to do with Donald Trump’s two presidencies, whatever the leftist media’s opinion, the American public thinks the opposite. During the 2025 gubernatorial election the voters of Virginia believed they were choosing between pragmatic Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger and lackluster Republican Lieutenant Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. The former was well funded and portrayed favorably by the corporate “news” media as a centrist, while the latter struggled to raise money and was labeled an extremist because of her strong support of gun rights. Spanberger won by double digits and most Virginians thought they were getting a slightly more liberal governor than her predecessor, Glenn Youngkin. Yet the moment she took office, it became obvious that Gov. Spanberger was no moderate.

Taking to the streets to disrupt the lives of average citizens is a leftist ideal, not an American one. It’s antithetical to the highest virtue of republicanism, namely, minding your own business.

No one ever said that the anti-ICE crew was smart. Their whole premise is wrong from the jump, that they should be trying to stop the enforcement of federal law. But beyond that, while they may be organized, they're also frequently wrong, such as when they harass people they think are ICE but who aren't. They don't get the irony of their grilling American citizens on who they are and if they have ID, even as they argue against deporting people who are here illegally.

It was hardly necessary to read the headlines Sunday morning to know that the corporate media, like Minnesota’s irresponsible governor Tim Walz, would effectively accuse federal immigration officers of brutally executing Alex Pretti. For example, a New York Times “analysis” fails to mention that Pretti was an anti-ICE activist who had interfered with the apprehension of a criminal suspect, and was violently resisting arrest when the officers realized he was armed. The Times falsely claims, “An agent had already removed Mr. Pretti’s gun when two other agents opened fire, shooting him in the back as he lay on the ground.”
