Five years ago, two-thirds of Virginia voters passed a referendum that ostensibly eliminated partisan gerrymandering from the congressional redistricting process that follows each decennial census. This amended the commonwealth’s constitution such that redistricting would thence forth be carried out by the Virginia Redistricting Commission (VRC) rather than state politicians burdened by conflicts of interest. This bill of goods was sold to the Old Dominion’s voters as “election reform” by a very expensive public relations campaign run by various Democrat-affiliated activist groups. It was obvious that the VRC would be jettisoned when it no longer served Democrat interests.

Newscum did this late last year with his bogus Prop 50 election. Our independent redistricting commission was passed by the voters over ten years ago. Even as it was, Republicans only held a handful of seats in California's large Congressional representation. Now we have one. About 45% of this state has no federal representation.
Virginia was next up, and then any Dim controlled state that has an independent redistricting commission will face the same result. The Dims always use California as their laboratory and testing ground, before taking tactics to the national level. I have often wondered why the Dims chose California to destroy first. It could be because we gave the country President Ronald Reagan.
I don't know how this can be stopped or at least contained. I hope President Trump is able to show us the way out of this maze of lies.

It's a free country, so coercion is frowned upon, but sometimes I wish we could slap some sense into these people.

People of Virginia chose this. They have to live with it.

Virginia use to be a red state. What really happened was the democrats that lived in Maryland destroyed that state and moved to Virginia. Now the Maryland democrats are living in Virginia and you will see the same destruction happen to Virginia that happened to Maryland. Maryland is a disgusting mess. #3 is correct, the people of Virginia will have to live with it.

You voted for it, now you'll have to live with it.

Of course, Virginia voted for it and has to live with it. But that’s not where the story ends. Policies like this will change the makeup of Congress and we will ALL have to live with it!

So sad, but some of those rodents fleeing the destruction they caused are migrating to NC, SC, GA, and Florida. Given that they love abortion, it's amazing they haven't depleted themselves, but they just indoctrinate the youth that survive their abortion knives and the children of conservatives and independents. Protect your children and grands from the anti-Christ disease of communism, aka leftism.

Yes, Virginia has to live with the current political party, but as a Virginian in the southern part of the state, I didn't vote for Abby. The northern part of the state put them there.

No #3 - registered Democrats voted for this - not all Virginians. And once again, unlike Republicans at either the state or federal level, the Dems when they win have their agenda ready to go on day one. And without the SAVE Act, there will be no need for this as every illegal alien will be registered to vote Dem.

Virginia split in two before. Maybe it's time for it to split again between North Virginia and South Virginia.

How do we get the mushy-middle voters to realize there's no moral depth the Dems won't stoop to in their quest for permanent one party rule?

Can Republican counties join West Virginia?
Another state that is being changed is New York. They keep losing districts and usually they are Republican. In the end there will be 20 Congressional districts in New York. 19 of them will be around NYC, and one for the rest of the state. All will be Democrat. It's becoming a standard Democratic tactic.
Representative government, Democrat style. Some people should be more represented than others. Now if they would only represent the people that elected them in the first place.
