Stupidity or Evil: Which is More Dangerous?

Original Article

Posted By: Christopher L, 1/29/2026 2:56:49 PM

“Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than evil.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Bonhoeffer’s insight remains one of the most unsettling diagnoses of moral collapse ever written—not because it flatters our intelligence, but because it strips away comforting illusions. Evil, he observed, can be confronted. It can be named, resisted, punished. Stupidity, by contrast, is immune to argument. Facts bounce off it. Evidence is dismissed as irrelevant. Moral reasoning fails not because it is weak, but because it is no longer being received.

In the wider world there are probably 100 extremely stupid folks doing the wrong things which destroy the country for every 1 truly intentionally evil person doing the same. So, because of sheer numbers, the idiots are far more dangerous.

I have a relative that is described in this article. She rarely attends family gatherings even though we rarely talk politics but she is afraid (my opinion) that if she were to hear something that goes against her beliefs that Conservatism or Republicans are evil she might start to have doubts. Frankly, if she were to show up at my door I wouldn't let her in because she is the kind who would do violence against those who aren't 'true believers'.

I think evil is more dangerous than stupid. Out of sheer incompetence, stupid might accidentally do something good. Evil knows what it is doing and will never do anything good if they can help it, at all. Also, ever since the DemoRoids rejected God, Satan, and his evil minions, have taken His place among them.

A Utah police department's use of artificial intelligence led to a police report stating -- falsely -- that an officer had been transformed into a frog. The Unreported Story Of Grid Scale Battery Fires 10 replies

The geniuses who are planning New York’s energy future think that they can make intermittent wind and solar generators work to power the electrical grid by the simple device of providing some battery storage. The idea is that when there is abundant wind and sun, they can store up the power for use during those calm and dark periods in the winter. How much battery storage will that take? It’s a simple arithmetic calculation, but none of our supposed experts have taken the trouble to crunch the numbers.

Former Mesa County, Colorado Election Clerk Tina Peters broke no state or federal laws by backing up her Election Management Server (EMS) hard drive, having it analyzed, and even publishing the results.  If she had, the federal and Colorado state governments would have legally come down on her for doing so, especially during the Biden administration. In other words, not one state or federal charge resulted from Tina’s actions backing up her county’s server.  Because they had NOTHING, Colorado (likely at the behest of the DOJ) had to manufacture imaginary felonies and misdemeanors and prosecute her in the state courts.

The 19-year-old Israeli hostage, Noa Marciano, was murdered by a doctor in Gaza’s Shifa hospital, her father Avi Marciano disclosed in a social media post. Noa, who Palestinian terrorists abducted from a kibbutz on October 7, 2023, was taken to Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital after sustaining minor ‘non-life-threatening’ injuries. Weeks after her abduction, and with Israeli troops advancing in the area, a Palestinian doctor “injected air into her vein,” Noa’s father said.

Back in 1999, William F. Buckley Jr. interviewed the economist John Kenneth Galbraith on Firing Line. The gents’ topic was historic figures. Around twenty-four minutes in, Buckley got to President Franklin Roosevelt. Galbraith, then ninety, turned nostalgic. “Of my generation, there was no figure like Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold escalated her standoff with the Trump administration this week, rejecting a request for the state’s full, unredacted voter file. “We will not comply with the Trump Department of Justice’s request for Coloradans’ sensitive voting information. The DOJ can take a hike; it does not have a legal right to the information. Colorado will not help Donald Trump undermine our elections and hurt the American people.” Colorado’s refusal comes as the DOJ expands lawsuits into at least 14 states for denying similar requests.

Every time I hear about the tragedy (the tragedies) suffered by the Indians of North America (whether at Thanksgiving or at any other time), I bring up some variant of the following questions:  Do the calamities also include the theft of the lands of the Apaches? Does the genocide, real or alleged, of the Native Americans also concern the extermination of the Huron tribe (Huronia)? This type of question usually boondoggles the leftist,… The problem, of course, is that the lands of the Apaches were stolen by the Comanches. While the Hurons were wiped out by the Iroquois

On Friday, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives did what many thought was unthinkable. In what can only be described as a stunning act of bravery, these bold Republicans - wait for it - passed a resolution that condemns socialism. The entire charade was like watching Olivia Nuzzi try to dish out marital advice. Consider that many of the same Republicans who enthusiastically voted to condemn socialism have had no problem bankrolling Obamacare, programs like SNAP, and every wallet-sucking entitlement program — all with zero intention of reforming or gutting any of them. It’s as ironic as it is comical.

A bombshell peer-reviewed study out of Germany just dismantled the scientific foundation used to justify lockdowns, social distancing, and vaccine mandates. When researchers compared the ALM’s week-by-week PCR positivity rates with the same labs’ IgG antibody testing data — essentially measuring who truly developed infection-induced immunity — they discovered something staggering: Only about 14% of those who tested PCR-positive during the early pandemic period (2020–mid-2021) actually developed antibodies — meaning most early “cases” were never real infections.

As the University of California at San Diego found, they get into college — and become someone else’s problem. Between 2020 and 2025, the number of freshmen with math skills below middle-school level “increased nearly thirtyfold” — unable to handle even the most basic high school math. In 2023, 13% of students could not perform at first-grade level, and 25% of kids got equation 7 + 2 = [ ] + 6 wrong.

The socialist government in Spain is set to give amnesty to half a million illegal migrants as part of a deal with the far-left. According to Madrid’s ABC newspaper, over 500,000 illegals will be offered the chance to gain residency permits in Spain if they can prove they have been in the country before December 31, 2025, have no criminal record, and can demonstrate that they were in Spain for at least five months before their application. The amnesty programme, which will run until June 30, is set to be implemented by Royal Decree, meaning the government will not need parliament’s approval to enact it.
