The historic old City Hall subway station, a decommissioned train stop that sits below New York City’s seat of government, will play host to Zohran Mamdani’s swearing-in as the Big Apple’s new mayor at midnight on Jan. 1, his transition team announced on Monday. Mamdani, who was in part elected on a pledge to make city buses fare-free, will take the oath of office in the ornate century-plus year-old subway station just as the calendar turns to the new year. The private event, which will be open exclusively to Mamdani’s family and select members of the press, will see him

A group linked to Democrat billionaire megadonor George Soros is holding trainings in Washington, DC on how to use jury duty to "protect our people especially those with marginalized identities."
Free DC, along with the black activist group Harriet’s Wildest Dreams, have been hosting "Juror Information Project" meetings in DC, with an upcoming date of the "teach-in" being described as a discussion on "what it really means to serve on a jury and how we can use that role to protect our people especially those with marginalized identities who are disproportionately targeted by the criminal legal system." Throughout both of his presidential terms (and the years between) few supporters of President Donald Trump have been as vocal or consistent as Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
Flynn, who served briefly as national security adviser in the president’s first term, has vocally aligned himself with many of Trump’s causes over the last decade or so.
That being said, Flynn appears to be rather unsatisfied with the way 2025 has gone in this country — and he penned a blistering X post with a simple, yet profound, request for Trump and his administration. “BREAKING: We The People demand ACCOUNTABILITY!” Flynn posted early Monday.
He said to Trump, “I know you are listening

Some Goodbyes Don’t Announce Themselves. Forty-nine years ago tonight, I had plans to meet up with friends—people I barely know anymore. Before leaving the house, I stopped by my dad’s room to say goodnight. He was lying in bed, recovering from hip surgery he’d had a couple of weeks earlier — after having slipped off a ladder. He was watching television to pass the time. Everyone who knew him admired him.

If it felt like 2025 was just one big psyop orchestrated by the Democrat Party and its accomplice media stooges, that’s because in many ways, it was.

Minnesotans begged House Majority Whip Tom Emmer more than a decade ago to halt the flood of Somali refugees to the area, but the lawmaker scolded them for their concerns.
Minnesota’s Somali population is back in the spotlight after YouTuber Nick Shirley posted a video canvassing multiple Somali-run childcare centers accused of fraud. However, A resurfaced audio clip from “This American Life” shows that voters were concerned about mass Somali migration long before the recent controversy. In an episode that aired in October 2016, journalist Zoe Chace narrated portions of the story, including a reflection on a July 2015 town hall event at Aces Bar in downtown St. Cloud.

Supporters of President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again movement have shown patience, but the time for results has come. In short, we must make 2026 the year of the arrests. Sunday on the social media platform X, conservative podcaster Benny Johnson reported that Kelly Loeffler, Administrator of the Small Business Administration, has cut off all SBA grants to Minnesota amid that state’s outrageous fraud scandal, much of it involving the state’s Somali community, which investigative journalist Nick Shirley further exposed in a 42-minute video posted to X on Friday. “SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler tells me she is ‘disgusted and sickened’ by Nick Shirley’s expose

For years now, there have been whispers coming out of Minnesota about massive fraud hiding in plain sight. Not small-time scams. Not paperwork errors. We’re talking about an entire ecosystem built around public money, weak oversight, and political protection.
A recent investigative report from Nick Shirley blew the lid off just how deep this all goes. At the center of it all is a web of nonprofits, shell organizations, and state-funded programs that were supposed to help low-income families, but instead, they became a money-printing operation. And one of the biggest engines driving that machine is something most people would never suspect…

A batch of just-released text messages and other communications between California officials and the Los Angeles Fire Department from the run-up to the Pacific Palisades Fire reveals a system more concerned with a few endangered plants than with massive destruction and death.
Twelve people died in the fires during three weeks of January 2025, with 6,837 structures destroyed (and another thousand or so damaged), more than 23,000 acres burned, and total damages currently estimated at about $25 billion with a B in the Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu areas of Los Angeles County.

Rob Schneider walked into the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary celebration knowing exactly what kind of room he was entering. Last year, he endorsed Donald Trump for president, and that doesn’t exactly make you a lot of friends in Hollywood. What he didn't expect was to find himself inches away from one of the loudest, angriest anti-Trump voices in entertainment: Robert De Niro.
In an interview with Jan Jekielek of the Epoch Times, Schneider recounted an incident involving De Niro at the event, which says a lot about both men. Before telling the story, Schneider began by giving De Niro his due as an actor. "He's obviously

The Los Angeles wild fires were absolutely catastrophic and absolutely predictable. (snip.) Because we know why this happened. "An hour after midnight Jan. 1, as a small brush fire blazed across Topanga State Park, a California State Parks employee texted the Los Angeles Fire Department's heavy equipment supervisor to find out if they were sending in bulldozers. 'Heck no that area is full of endangered plants,' Capt. Richard Diede replied at 9:52 a.m., five hours after the LAFD declared the fire contained. 'I would be a real idiot to put a dozer in that area. I am so trained.'"

I can remember the first time I ever saw the Marxists openly suggest we collapse the nuclear family. It was on the Black Lives Matter official website where, among their goals, they listed their aim to "disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and 'villages' that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable."
It wasn't hard to connect the dots as to why they wanted this. The nuclear family is the ultimate authority in a child's life, and if you're an advocate for the state being the highest authority in everyone's lives,

In an interview with Politico, President Trump commented about the upcoming 2026 mid-term elections:
I think it’s going to be about the success of our country. It’ll be about pricing. Because, you know, they (the Biden administration) gave us high pricing, and we’re bringing it down. Energy’s way down. Gasoline is way down.
He also said he is confident Americans will be receptive to his economic message - that his administration is cleaning up the mess he inherited from Biden.
Addressing inflation and blaming former President Biden is a smart strategy for getting out the GOP base

President Donald Trump is ducking and weaving through the minefield of geopolitical politics, managing a proxy war he did not create that was organized by a corrupt U.S. State Dept./CIA and globalist agenda.
Trump wants the war to end; he wants the U.S. out of it; he wants peace with a fundamental reset of the entire European dynamic, and he wants a strategic relationship with the Russian Federation. However, every element in the proverbial ‘West’ wants exactly the opposite .Washington DC – the majorities in both parties, most of the European Union and the ‘Western’ military industrial complex stand in opposition to President Trump’s objective.

Nick Shirley’s 42-minute YouTube video on daycare fraud in Minnesota is shocking not just because of the scale of abuse he uncovered in a day. It’s shocking because it took a young kid to expose this years-long scheme. Where was the mainstream media all this time?
In the must-see video, Shirley teams up with a citizen investigator and goes door-to-door visiting various “daycare” facilities in Minneapolis that got millions in taxpayer money through a Child Care Assistance Program.
The first two “daycare centers” are both located at the same address in an industrial park,

The culture wars are raging, but on at least one front the forces of good are winning. The “trans” ideology is crumbling fast. The latest evidence is this piece in Newsweek, written by two of the authors of the Department of Health and Human Services’ recent paper, “Treatment for Pediatric Gender Dysphoria: Review of Evidence and Best Practices.”
The authors begin with a ritual denunciation of HHS and an assurance that “we, along with most of the other authors, are liberals.” But they go on to break the news to their fellow lefties:

An independent journalist in Ohio has released a video investigation alleging extensive fraud schemes involving the misuse of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) benefits within parts of the state’s Somali community, adding to broader scrutiny of welfare programs and oversight failures.
The investigation, shared widely on social media and posted on X by the account @WallStreetApes, centers on neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio.
In the video, the journalist documents what he describes as a pattern in which Somali-owned restaurants are closely connected to grocery stores, allowing welfare benefits intended for household food purchases to be redirected into commercial operations.

Since the announcement of Trump's plan, Hamas... has dismissed the idea of laying down its weapons. It has also made it clear that the role of any international force should be limited just to monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire with Israel. (Snip) These statements by Hamas and the other Palestinian terror groups show that they have no intention of honoring Trump's plan. (Snip) It is simply nonsensical to believe that any peace plan would end the terrorists' Jihad against Israel. Unfortunately, there is no alternative to a total defeat and eradication of Hamas and its allies.

How many Chinese nationals with access to America’s university system have to be prosecuted before President Trump shuts off their ability to attend such institutions?
It’s a question worth asking given the recurring nature of these individuals being charged by U.S. officials for alleged actions that could harm the security and national interests of the United States. On Friday, FBI Director Kash Patel announced that Youhuang Xiang, a J-1 visa holder and post-doctoral researcher from China, has been “charged with smuggling Escherichia coli (E. coli) into the U.S. and making false statements about it.” Xiang was conducting post-doctoral research at Indiana University.

Far-left billionaire powerbroker George Soros and his family have lavished more than $71,000 into New York Attorney General Letitia James campaign coffers since 2019, including a robust $31,000 to help the longtime adversary of President Donald Trump get re-elected next year, according to a report Sunday by the New York Post.
Citing Board of Elections records, the Post reported that campaign donations included $18,000 from Soros in July 2024 and another $13,000 from his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Soros, in May. Soros and his family also gave James another $40,000 dating back to 2019 for previous campaigns.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley lit up the internet with his video this past week on Minnesota day care centers, where he alleged that he didn't find children, but he did find people who didn't want to talk or answer questions. The full video is now approaching 100 million views, an amazing number. He even found one "learing center" that had a misspelled nameWhat that number of views shows,I think, is how disturbed Americans are by the subject and how much they want it to be addressed. The national attention may even have forced Minnesota Gov. Republicans’ best shot at keeping the House in 2026 could rest with a crucial Voting Rights Act case before the Supreme Court — and it’s putting some senior Democratic leaders in the hot seat.
By some estimates, the GOP could pick up nine or more congressional seats if the high court strikes down race-based districts.
That looks likely — a majority of the conservative justices indicated they oppose the Civil Rights era restriction during oral arguments two months ago.
“It’s potentially really important for 2026,” Kyle Kondik, managing editor of Sabato’s Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia Center for Politics, told The Post.

There were already concerns about the scale of the fraud in Minnesota after revelations over the past month indicating that it may run into billions of dollars. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's response has been lacking, at best.
Then, more allegations went viral after independent journalist Nick Shirley published a video of his efforts to look into various Minnesota childcare centers. Shirley had trouble finding any children at these purported childcare facilities, although he did find that one of the centers had trouble spelling "learning" on the sign over their door.

The NYPD under boss Jessica Tisch this year is blowing away record lows on shootings, and coming impressively close on murders. Kudos to her and the force.
The big question now: Can Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani keep up the momentum, even with his anti-cop agenda?
Start with homicides, which plunged to just 297 through Dec. 21. Yes, that’s 297 too many needless deaths, but it’s 20% fewer than the 377 killings in 2024, and likely to beat out the number in 2019 (319), the year before cashless-bail kicked and murders started soaring.
Need more? For the first 11 months of this year, the city actually broke the all-time low for shootings set in 2018,

As I've written many times, a lot of folks have taken this to mean he's threatening a boots-on-the-ground war in Venezuela. Even though Trump says he won't rule such a thing out, if you listen carefully to what the president and Marco Rubio say about it, this is not what he's is talking about.

President Donald Trump on Sunday said that talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war had progressed after his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Florida, though Trump acknowledged that thorny issues over territory remain.
“I do think we’re getting a lot closer, maybe very close,” Trump told reporters after emerging from the talks.
In his remarks, Zelenskyy called the peace talks a “really great discussion” in which U.S.-Ukraine security guarantees were “100% agreed” upon, though Trump gave a slightly lower estimate when asked about that part of the proposal.
“We agree that security guarantees is a key milestone in achieving lasting peace,” Zelenskyy said.
