My eleventh-great grandfather Thomas Rogers arrived in 1620 on the Mayflower. He signed the Mayflower Compact, which affirmed the right of free men to establish a government they would all be subject to.

My tenth great-grandfather Richard Lyman arrived on the Lyon in 1631. Five years later, he and roughly 100 other settlers — including more of my ancestors — would make a trek that would result in the founding of Hartford, Connecticut. No, it was Somalians, Indians, and immigrants from Latin America and Africa.

CNN host Jake Tapper misidentified Washington, DC, pipe bomb suspect Brian Cole Jr. as a “30-year-old white man” just before airing photos revealing him to be a black man.
“Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old white man from the D.C. suburbs, is charged with transporting an explosive device in interstate commerce and with malicious destruction by means of explosion,” Tapper said on his show The Lead.
Several minutes later, Tapper’s own program aired photos of Brian Cole Jr., a black man.

TOKYO, Dec 5 - American actor and playwright Jeremy O. Harris, known for the Tony-nominated "Slave Play", was arrested last month at an airport in Japan on suspicion of attempting to smuggle illegal drugs into the country, local authorities said late on Thursday.
Harris, 36, was stopped on November 16 at Naha Airport on Okinawa island after a customs officer discovered 0.78 grams of crystal containing the synthetic narcotic MDMA in his tote bag, an Okinawa Regional Customs spokesperson said. He was immediately arrested on suspicion of violating Japan's Narcotics and Psychotropics Control Act. Local customs officials filed a criminal accusation with the regional prosecutor's office on Thursday to

Afghanistan’s Taliban made a 13-year-old carry out a public execution in front of thousands of onlookers, shooting a man who had killed more than a dozen members of the boy’s family.
An estimated 80,000 people gathered at a sports stadium in the southeastern province of Khost to witness the horrific spectacle, condemned by the UN as “inhuman and cruel”.
The convicted murderer, called Mangal, and two others had been found guilty of killing 13 members of the teenager’s family, including several children and women.
The killer was sentenced to ‘Qisas’ - a retaliation punishment under Sharia law similar to the Biblical principle of ‘an eye for an eye’. The Supreme Court said

The January 6 pipe bomber case was finally solved on Thursday, and the media reacted to it in the most predictable way possible. The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia.
The Daily Wire reported Thursday evening that Cole comes from a family deeply entrenched in left-wing activism. (Snip) But on Friday morning, the mainstream media started pushing the narrative that Cole is a Trump supporter who “believed conspiracy theories about the 2020 election.”

The inspector general responsible for scrutinizing U.S. reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan has detailed the billions of dollars wasted by the U.S. government during the 20-year war in the country and concluded that the arsenal of U.S.-provided weaponry that was left behind now forms the "core" of the Taliban's own military machine. . . . The report said the Pentagon has concluded that the U.S. left behind weaponry worth at least $7.1 billion -- weapons now in the hands of the Taliban -- and that the U.S. government also continued to send $3.47 billion in humanitarian and development assistance to Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover.

Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani vowed Thursday to stop clearing homeless encampments throughout the Big Apple — ending a signature initiative pushed by the Adams administration since taking office.
The Democratic Socialist flatly told reporters at an unrelated press conference in Manhattan that he would stop all sweeps of makeshift settlements come the new year when he is sworn in as mayor.
“If you are not connecting homeless New Yorkers to the housing that they so desperately need, then you cannot deem anything you’re doing to be a success,” Mamdani said of the Adams policy, which has faced criticism for not getting those homeless people into permanent homes after the sweeps.

The arrest of Brian Cole Jr. on Thursday in connection with the J6 pipe bombing incident is a huge story. But make no mistake, this story is about to be memory-holed by the mainstream media… and fast.
Federal authorities arrested 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia for allegedly planting pipe bombs outside the RNC and DNC headquarters on the night of January 5, 2021. For four years, Biden’s FBI failed to break the case while the pipe bombs were used as political ammunition against Trump supporters.
As PJ Media previously reported, Cole’s arrest did not result from new tips or a brave new witness suddenly emerging from the shadows; it was because

Democrats and the media have been trying to whip up a story about the Trump administration taking out drug boats. They thought they had something with a story from the Washington Post that claimed Secretary of War Pete Hegseth ordered a second strike on a drug boat when there were survivors in the water. [snip] Instead, when Bradley testified on Thursday, he told the truth. "The admiral confirmed that there had not been a kill them all order and that there was not an order to grant no quarter," Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, told reporters after a briefing with the admiral.

The job post for LanceSoft, an IT staffing firm committed to "diversity, equality, and inclusivity," began innocently enough.
