Democrats Take Massive Midterm Lead in
(Outlier) Marist Poll

Original Article

With a little less than a year to go before the 2026 midterm elections, a Marist Poll shows Democrats leading Republicans by a massive +14 points in the generic ballot. “Democrats currently have a 14-point lead against the Republicans among registered voters nationally on the 2026 generic congressional ballot question,” writes Marist. “This has changed considerably. Since 2022, voters have been divided about which party’s candidate they would support.” This, even though those polled “place most of the blame for the shutdown on congressional Democrats.” Still, “six in ten [blame] either the President or the GOP in Congress.”

The problem is that Trump is focused on long term improvements to the economy that are not providing relief. He is better than this and needs to narrow his strategies. Like now.

Democrats will always lead in the polls because of media bias, and they will continue to "win" at the ballot box until all mail in ballots are eliminated and all ballots are hand marked on paper and hand counted!

While Trump talks his head off and has no problem touting his own accomplishments, the rest of the Republicans need a better PR machine and learn to use the media to get their positive accomplishments out. Democrats are good at controlling the narrative. Untethered Republicans learn to do that, they will continue to lose in the polls and ballot box.

Either the poll is flawed and biased, which most of them are, or more democrats are rapidly sliding down the left side of the Bell Curve. It's far too early to know which is the case. By election time, most prices will sit at pre-Biden levels, oil drilling will produce for more than we need and Obamascare will be history.

Well, if the Dems win the House back in 2026 you can count on two things happening. Congress will be in total stagnation for at least two years. That's not such a bad thing. The second thing will be the impeachment of Donald Trump. Count on two shots and maybe a third if they have the time. Based on what? Ha! Nothing, as usual.

Trump could deliver the greatest SOTU speech in history and the media would report it as hate speech. Get used to it because this is just a taste of what's to come. This should NOT be Pooh Poohed as “Usual Left wing garbage”. A year ago Republicans were 8 points ahead. They have blown it. Primarily three reasons 1. Constant toxic left wing propaganda 2. The supply side effects of Trump’s policies has yet to be felt. It took 18 months under Reagan. 3. The ‘base’ is simply not as enthusiastic when Trump is not on the ballot. This is a messaging issue. And the Republicans HAVE to solve it. Otherwise we are doomed.

The U.N. climate talks COP30 were hastily evacuated Thursday night due to a fire breaking out inside the venue in Belém, Brazil. Smoke, flames, and a rise in temperature engulfed the pavilion area as panicked attendees rushed outside to be met by fire crews entering the stricken zone. Reuters reports security footage showed flames spreading rapidly up an internal fabric shell that lined the walls and ceiling of the building before being extinguished. Thirteen people were treated for smoke inhalation at the venue, organizers said, as thousands of delegates were evacuated as security staff formed a human barrier across the hallway.

Male inmates at an all-female prison in Fort Worth, Texas, are temporarily restricted from entering or using female-only private areas, a judge decided this week. It is the first time a federal court has ruled that male inmates must be sex-segregated in women’s prisons. The Federal Medical Center, Carswell is a formerly women-only prison in Texas that currently houses several men who identify as women. FMC Carswell recently housed dozens of people who identify as trans or intersex, according to a federal report. Female inmates have for years petitioned the state to separate trans-identifying men from women’s private spaces.

Yesterday we learned that a three judge panel had ruled 2-1 that Texas would not be allowed to use newly drawn maps in the midterm elections. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey V. Brown, who is a Trump appointee, joined U.S. District Judge David Guaderrama, an Obama appointee, to demand the state return to its previously drawn maps. The core of their ruling was that the goal of the redistricting was not partisan political advantage, but racial gerrymandering. The state had argued that the entire redistricting process was based on a partisan goal, which the U.S. Supreme Court has previously said courts cannot intervene to prevent. But the plaintiffs pointed to a letter
