Fusion [Energy] During the Trump Administration'

Original Article

Fusion energy skeptics consistently scoff at the notion that the technology required to create unlimited pollution-free power by superheating hydrogen atoms in a pressurized containment vessel is always "ten years away." There is no question that the requirements to create a sustained fusion reaction are daunting – and expensive. Yet the nation that solves the challenge will have access to infinite power that will allow it to dominate the globe, and apply it cleanly and limitlessly to literally everything and anything that requires electricity. The fusion skeptics are not only short-sighted but may also be absent an appreciation of how successful, strategic investments are made.

And the article states the exact reason the Communists will never let the United States develop fusion power: "Yet the nation that solves the challenge will have access to infinite power that will allow it to dominate the globe, and apply it cleanly and limitlessly to literally everything and anything that requires electricity"

Energy from fusion has been 10 years away for decades and will remain 10 years away. I guess I'm a scoffer or a realist.

Color me a skeptic. Controlled fusion may or may not be scientifically possible but letting our infant technology optimistically named artificial intelligence loose on this problem is about as smart as asking somebody to hold your beer while you defuse that old artillary shell that has been lodged in your basement floor for the past 75 years. Some of these same people think that light and gravity could be particles.

50 years ago I was offered employment at Los Alamos National Labs to work on laser induced fusion. It was just 10 years away then.I declined; Why take a job with a 10 year life expectancy? It could have been a career.

No, it isn't always 10 years away. It is always over 30 years away. It would probably take over 10 years to build a new fusion power plant even if the technology was current state of the art. Siting, licensing, building, staffing and commissioning a new fission plant of well known current technology today will take at least 10 years.

Fusion seems to be a straw man. It is clearly decades away from any even theoretical use. Yet we have fission power tha offers almost unlimited electricity now. Its safe and clean. Yet we vilfy it. So I see fusion as a charade where those who want to control ennergy and the people who use it, demonize successful production means while promising us a rosy future that never comes

My Shocking Undercover Experience at Portland's
Antifa-Besieged ICE Building

On a lovely Sunday afternoon, I traveled to see for myself what was going on in the streets of Portland at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building that has been under siege by Antifa and its comrades-in-arms for five months now. I actually had an unprecedented experience there. Shocking, really. The entire phalanx of elected officials in Portland announced mere days ago that there was "only" one block of protester activity. They were downplaying the violence that had taken place there. Like robots, they announced to their citizens that visuals from the ICE facility were years old or unrepresentative of the current situation. What was the truth?

French President Emmanuel Macron is running out of wiggle room. The abrupt resignation of his prime minister Monday — Macron’s fourth in more than a year of almost ceaseless political upheaval — puts the French leader in a bind. None of the options now look appealing for Macron, from his perspective at least. And for France, the road ahead promises more of the political uncertainty that is eroding investor confidence in the European Union’s second-largest economy and is frustrating efforts to rein in France’s damaging state deficit and debts. Domestic turmoil also risks diverting Macron’s focus from pressing international issues — wars in Gaza and Ukraine, security threats from Russia,

A food aid program that helps more than 6 million low-income mothers and young children will run out of federal money within two weeks unless the government shutdown ends, forcing states to use their own money to keep it afloat or risk it shutting down, experts say. The $8 billion Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, also known as WIC, provides vouchers to buy infant formula as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat milk and other healthy staples that are often out of financial reach for low-income households. The shutdown, which began Wednesday, coincided with the beginning of a new fiscal year, meaning programs like WIC,

Pope Leo XIV continues to make thinly veiled jibes against the Trump administration’s stance against illegal immigration. Speaking in front of thousands of pilgrims at St. Peter’s Square on Sunday, Leo warned that migrants must not be treated with “the coldness of indifference or the stigma of discrimination.” Without singling out any country in particular, Leo said that Catholics should “open our arms and hearts to them, welcoming them as brothers and sisters, and being for them a presence of consolation and hope.” Leo explained that the church was living through a “new missionary age” that tasked its members with providing “hospitality and welcome, compassion and solidarity” to migrants coming to the West.

President Trump is deploying 400 Texas National Guard troops to Illinois, Oregon, and other states as swarms of anti-ICE protesters continue to clash with federal agents, Gov. JB Pritzker said Sunday night. The Illinois Democrat blasted Trump’s “invasion” hours after the president mobilized 300 California National Guard members to Portland, where unrest has raged for over 100 consecutive days outside an immigration detention center — a scene that has been playing out in Chicago since September. Pritzker said the plan defies his wishes, adding that federal officials haven’t reached out to coordinate or discuss the deployment.

Democrats are facing growing concern in New Jersey as the state’s gubernatorial race tightens and new data shows Republicans gaining an early advantage in mail-in voting ahead of the November election. Updated figures this week indicate that Republican ballot returns have surpassed Democrats for the first time in the 2025 cycle, reflecting a shift that has intensified challenges for Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s campaign against former state lawmaker Jack Ciattarelli. According to election analyst Michael Pruser, 18.6 percent of all mail-in ballots returned so far are from Republican voters, compared to 16.6 percent from Democrats and 9.3 percent from other parties.

A federal judge in Oregon temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s plan to deploy hundreds of National Guard troops to Portland — the same day federal agents unleashed tear gas and mace on anti-ICE agitators after more than 100 straight days of unrest. US District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump nominee, ruled Saturday that deploying active-duty troops to secure the “war ravaged” Oregon city would violate the US Constitution and federal law barring military involvement in domestic law enforcement. “The relationship between the federal government and the states, between the military and domestic law enforcement, and the balance of powers between the executive,

In light of recent disclosures from Google and Meta adding to the existing evidence, Americans must confront a sobering question: Was the 2020 presidential election truly free and fair? Not merely in terms of ballot security, voter access, or “voter fraud,” but in the deeper democratic sense—where citizens are entitled to hear competing viewpoints, weigh evidence, and make informed decisions without interference or deception. Last year, under pressure from Jim Jordan, chair of the House Judiciary Committee, who was investigating government influence over social media platforms, Facebook admitted to yielding to pressure from the Biden administration and censoring conservative voices.

Discussing the race between Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Rep. Do you know, Matt, how many Republicans stayed home in 2021, the year after 2020? 600,000,” Presler revealed. “The election was decided by 84,000 votes. China is actively preparing for war against the United States. The signs are obvious and ominous. During the Biden regime, we saw the first signs of it. A Dallas-based auto lender built on giving car loans to illegals has just gone belly up, and it’s dragging Wall Street down with it. The company, which sold overpriced used cars to illegals and wrapped the scheme in a feel-good “social lending” label, is leaving major US banks like JPMorgan, Barclays, and Fifth Third staring at massive losses.
