Never trust a politician who promises to help the poor by taking from the rich. It never works. Joe Biden proved this point.
While still in the White House, Biden promised that if reelected, he would levy a billionaire tax on the wealthiest Americans. It wasn’t the first time. During his 2023 State of the Union address, he railed that “the tax system is not fair, it’s not fair.” A year earlier, he proposed a “billionaire minimum income tax.”
Even before he was president, Biden was fond of demanding that the rich pay their “fair share,” which makes a snappy

We have long marveled at the virulence of Trump Derangement Syndrome. So why doesn’t the president use it to his own – and the nation’s – benefit?
In matters big and small, if President Donald Trump says one thing, masses of leftists and never-Trumpers will insist the opposite is true.
After Trump suggested that pregnant women not take Tylenol because it could pose an autism risk to their unborn children, expectant moms swarmed social media with videos of themselves downing the painkiller.
After the Trump administration announced it would approve an old drug as a treatment for autism, CBS News went back and altered

Once again, we are being treated to a fusillade of stories about the horrors of a government shutdown. But we invite readers to consider this: Roughly two-thirds of government spending will continue despite the “shutdown.”
In other words, there is absolutely no reason for Republicans to cave on Democratic demands that Medicaid benefits for illegals and Obamacare subsidies for higher-income families be restored.
The longer the federal government remains shut down, the more people will realize how meaningless it is, and the less leverage Democrats will have.

Computer industry executives, economists, government officials and businesspeople all seem to be very high on the prospects for artificial intelligence (AI). But what about average Americans? They mostly believe AI should be feared, not embraced, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
To kick off the three-question national online poll on AI, I&I/TIPP first asked 1,362 Americans the following: “Do you think artificial intelligence (AI) will mostly create new jobs, mostly take away jobs, or not make much difference?”
It wasn’t close. Just 17% responded that AI would create jobs,

Last week, Google admitted to Congress that it served as the Biden administration’s censorship enforcer. Which is bad enough. But then it followed up this admission with a lie.
In a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, the tech colossus said that under pressure from the administration, it silenced voices that were challenging Joe Biden’s COVID-19 policies.
“Senior Biden administration officials, including White House officials, conducted repeated and sustained outreach to Alphabet and pressed the Company regarding certain user-generated content related to the COVID-19

For years, we were told by government officials and outside “experts” that the terrorists in our midst were mostly right-wing fanatics – a list that under the Biden administration came to include parents who spoke up at local school board meetings and Catholics who like the Latin mass.
But even the left is now admitting what everyone else already knows.
Namely, that despite their constant bleating about tolerance and peace, it’s leftists who pose the greatest threat to Americans.
This week, the Trump-hating Atlantic magazine published an article titled “Left-Wing Terrorism Is on the Rise,” written by scholars at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

The California Legislature passed, and Gov. Gavin Newsom eagerly signed, a bill that forbids law enforcement officers from concealing their identities with masks. The law applies to local as well as federal officers, but it’s clearly intended to make it easier to dox federal immigration agents. Of course the administration says it will ignore the law. So what happens when local and state officers try to enforce it?
A war?
California also forbids federal agents from enforcing immigration law in state courthouses. Again, the potential for blue-on-blue violence is ramped up by a Democratic

With violent crime unchecked in major American cities, President Donald Trump has moved to lower thefts, assaults and murders by providing federal help to besieged local police. How do Americans feel about this? They mostly favor local control, but don’t entirely reject federal involvement in local policing, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
September’s national online I&I/TIPP Poll asked 1,362 adults: “President Trump has moved to take control of the Washington, D.C., police. Do you mostly favor or mostly oppose the federal government running local police departments?”

Perhaps Mark Ruffalo really does think he has an indestructible giant lurking inside his insufferable jerk exterior. After all, not long after he posted that on Threads, Disney executives reversed course and decided to put Jimmy Kimmel back on the air.
But don’t expect Disney stock to suddenly bounce back, or subscriptions to Disney+ to surge. Mark Ruffalo is no Warren Buffett.
Yes, Disney’s stock price had gone down 3% since last Wednesday, when the Disney-owned ABC gave Kimmel the boot.
But so what?
Disney stock plunged 38% after the company decided to step into the political swamp in early 2022

It’s been amusing to watch the left’s reaction to ABC giving the boot to Jimmy Kimmel.
Not because of their rank hypocrisy when it comes to censorship. Or their claim that firing a low-rated late-night “comic” means “authoritarianism has arrived.” Or the fact that they are far more outraged that Kimmel lost his time slot than that Charlie Kirk lost his life over things they said.
What’s most amusing is how blissfully ignorant they are about how the news and entertainment industry works these days.
First, let’s dispense with the censorship ruse. ABC is a private company and is entitled

Given the national anguish and pain over the assassination of Charlie Kirk, you might think that the leftist big media would at least be treading softly right now, especially given the overwhelming evidence that’s already been made public about Kirk’s alleged assassin. But you would be wrong.
We’ve already addressed the lies and exaggerations told about Kirk to somehow justify his murder. Now the left is trying to come up with a counter-narrative about his assassin. Kirk wasn’t murdered by an unhinged leftist; he was killed by a MAGA adherent. It’s a lie on stilts.
Let’s start with what we know:

Almost as soon as Attorney General Pam Bondi said that federal law enforcement would target anyone for hate speech, she was backpedaling amid backlash from across the political spectrum.
It was a rare and welcome instance where both sides of a deeply divided nation came to agree on something. But how long will it last?
On a podcast, Bondi said, “There’s free speech and then there’s hate speech, and there is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to Charlie, in our society….We will absolutely target you, go after you, if you are targeting anyone with hate speech.”
