Alligator Alcatraz ordered closed by judge

Original Article

From the Miami Herald, Judge orders Alligator Alcatraz shut down in 60 days, says no more new detainees. It’s an Obama-appointed federal district judge, of course, and this is the case involving the alleged “environmental damage” being done to one of the world’s biggest swamps. From the Herald, Though her order does not prohibit the state from making repairs to the site, the most striking aspect of the order is her demand that the state begin removing all generators, gas, sewage, and other waste items that have transformed the airstrip into a detention center within 60 days, rendering the site uninhabitable. The state of Florida, of course, is appealing the decision.

If we used these standards of this leftist judge to other parts of Florida, then it must be time to shut down Disney World and all the other recreation resorts around Orlando. Stupid and corrupt judges appointed by Obama and Biden (but I repeat myself) will be with us for quite a while. Republicans need to act with much more urgency to get sane judges appointed.

The Administration should just ignore this judges decision. We need to get the illegal alien criminals OUT OF THE COUNTRY as fast as possible. Maybe dropping off a few of them at her house would do the trick. The Administration is spending WAY too much time in court.

The order will be stayed. The case will go to court and finally rejected based on much of the realities mentioned here. The biggest problem is that liberal district judges rule based on outcomes they want and make up reasons, like environmental damage, to support themselves. Human activities can impact the environment. That's a reality. However, to act on it, actual damage needs to be proved and proven to be SIGNIFICANT. The judge has NONE of that information before her. It's like barring people from entering a bank because they might try to rob it. Even a person who has robbed a bank in the past could probably have a checking account and enter a bank to do business. You would need proof that they are planning to rob the bank soon before you could take actions to keep them out. The reason that Trump keeps on winning is because his actions are based on Law and Reality. The liberal judges lose because their actions are based on their personal whims. At lower levels they can get away with it. The further up you go in the court system, the more the law is rigorously applied and reality holds sway. We should keep count on how often a lower court judge is overruled. If it passes a threshold, they should be brought up for review, possible censure, and even removal for patterns of egregious decisions.

You know, the Judge might have a point here. I'm not sure that the Alligators are pulling their share of the load at Alligator Alcatraz. It's been a couple of months since it opened and I haven't read one story about how those Alligators have caught any escapees from the compound. Don't tell me that they've joined some employees union where they get paid and don't have to work. And if they gotta close the joint, be sure all the current residents are released at Judge Williams' palatial estate.

There was important news this week: apparent progress toward peace in Ukraine, a crackdown on crime in D.C., and much else. But those serious topics were pretty much ignored by the nation’s memesters. The story of the week, hands down, was the Cracker Barrel logo reboot. Not having learned, apparently, from the experiences of Bud Light, Target and others, Cracker Barrel debuted a new logo that was seen as an abandonment of its middle American roots. There were other meme-stories too, like the Rhode Island Assistant Attorney General who, apparently the worse for drink, tried to pull rank on a commendably patient police officer. One of President Trump’s best qualities is that he understands energy–in particular, the vital need for affordable, reliable energy. Trump understands, further, that “green” energy technologies, wind and solar, are not and cannot ever be either affordable or reliable. They are essentially a heist, an attempt to transfer trillions of dollars out of certain industries, and into others. Also, out of the United States and into China. If the Left can pull it off, it will be the biggest transfer of wealth in human history. I hate it when Republican politicians subscribe to an “all of the above” approach to energy, which implies that wind and solar

A study recently published by the National Academy of Sciences found that when asked to rank actions, such as swapping a car that uses gasoline for an electric one, carpooling or reducing food waste, participants weren’t very accurate when assessing how much those actions contributed to climate change, which is caused mostly by the release of greenhouse gases that happen when fuels like gasoline, oil and coal are burned. “People over-assign impact to actually pretty low-impact actions such as recycling, and underestimate the actual carbon impact of behaviors much more carbon intensive,
