In 2013, U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar and his wife took a seemingly routine trip to Turkey and Azerbaijan, funded by an obscure Houston-based nonprofit. What followed, federal prosecutors now allege, was a years-long scheme involving foreign influence, money laundering, and one of the most serious indictments ever brought against a sitting member of Congress. According to a federal indictment unsealed last week, Cuellar and his wife accepted nearly $600,000 in bribes from two foreign entities: Azerbaijan’s state-owned oil company, SOCAR, and Mexico’s Banco Azteca. Prosecutors allege that Cuellar, a Democrat from Laredo, Texas,

"Nearly $600,000" over how many years? What exactly did Turkey and that bank get for this relatively small amount of money? Chump change compared to the Biden Crime Family. My recollection of Cuellar was that he was the only Democrat who spoke out against the open border and illegal migration across our southern border.

Hunter Biden, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Occasional Cortex, China Mitch, John Fraud Carry, Barack Obama and others could also use a little investigating. When you help other countries or your own bank account to the detriment of America, it deserves a closer look. Mexico enjoys extremely favored status despite the damage they are still doing to the US and "coincidentally" there are many government people of Mexican descent in positions of power in places like California and Arizona.

Re #8 and #12, I think we would be naive to think that the flood of illegals across the border did not include enforcers for the drug cartels. They have to have government officials here on their payrolls, just like they do in Mexico, Central America, etc. Drug money must surely be flowing into Dem PACs through all kinds of money laundering operations. All those "fees" to the coyotes, multiplied times 20 or 30 million illegals during the Biden years, have to be used for something. Now that USAID operations have been interrupted, it may take a while to set up shift the infrastructure for the laundering operations. But there is still plenty to pay off politicians and judges.

Whenever I hear of a politician getting caught taking bribes, I marvel at the thought that they believed that they would never be caught. The reality of the situation is that such action is likely very common place in all levels of our government, so they truly believe that they will not get caught. Once they do get arrested, I also marvel at the thought that there defense is not "everyone does it, why are you singling out me!".

And in other totally surprising developments, "Dog Bites Man." Seriously, all Cuellar did was duplicate the Biden Family Corporation (tm) in leveraging political power into vast sums of illegal wealth. Difference is, Cuellar got caught and so far Biden and his troupe have been let off the hook.

One of the more underappreciated aspects of the 2024 election is just how confident most Democrats were that they would win it. It seems like an eternity ago, but there was a time when the American left was all but certain Kamala Harris would be the next president. Who can remember the months-long proclamation of "joy" being a central theme of her campaign? Or "Brat summer," suggesting Harris had made inroads with pop culture that simply couldn't be defeated. I still remember having to repeatedly debunk reports on election day of massive turnout in Philadelphia that had supposedly sealed the deal for the then-vice president.

The latest example comes to us from Brooklyn, from a former organizer for Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who, we should note, had nothing to do with the event. For years, the self-anointed experts in economics have been catastrophically, almost comically wrong about Donald Trump’s tariff strategy. They were wrong during his first term, and he is proving them wrong again in his second. They didn’t just miss the mark; they weren’t even aiming at the right target. Now, with new data and landmark trade agreements in hand, the world has every reason to demand accountability from the academic class that branded Trump’s trade policies as reckless economic self-sabotage. Remember the parade of Nobel laureates and Ivy League economists lining up to denounce Trump’s tariffs as a singular threat to American prosperity?

The Democrat Party is in political free fall. Their approval ratings are sinking, their coalition is cracking, and the message they once rode to power no longer works. A recent Wall Street Journal poll found 63% of Americans now view the party unfavorably — the worst numbers the poll has recorded in three decades. This wasn’t sudden. Democrats saw their decline coming — and instead of changing course, they rigged the system to survive it. After the 2020 census, Democrat-run states didn’t redraw their maps — they obliterated them. Republican districts were axed. Competitive seats were split. What replaced them were Democrat fortresses,

President Trump took a walk on a sloped roof. South Park viciously parodied Trump, JD Vance and Kristi Noem. The now indisputably-Republican Sydney Sweeney remained a popular meme subject. Working through luxury agents Weston Littlefield and Alex Howe of the Weston James Group, the buyer is targeting properties with at least 40 feet of frontage, betting that once the coastline is rebuilt, demand from wealthy buyers will return in force.
