Sources have told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS’ Tom Hauser that two Minnesota Lawmakers have been shot. Minnesota state senator John Hoffman in Champlin and Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman in Brooklyn Park were reportedly shot in their homes by a gunman impersonating a police officer. A manhunt is currently underway in Brooklyn Park for a man pretending to be a police officer. The suspect, according to the alert, is a white man with brown hair wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants. Authorities are asking residents not to approach the suspect if spotted.

First call was to Hoffman's house. Unclear as to what took LE to Hortman's house. Tjey arrived while perp was still there. Found Hortman and her husband dead. Found "manifesto" (list of politicians) in white SUV he was using. Police saw the guy and were said to have engaged him. He managed to get away on foot. LE have vehicle. Presser hard to hear but this was my takeaway. Police don't sound very bright. Sort of Walzish.

Another story running rampant. Fox News just reported that perp had police car. Not true. He had a white SUV that "resembled" a police car. LE reported that; Fox erred. This will go on until LE gets its act together. When LE says it has persons of interest jthey mean persons who may have helpful information, not suspects. They want to talk with those persons.

SNAP helps feed more than 40 million low-income Americans, which is a crisis all to itself that DC conveniently overlooks, and Republicans are advocating for nearly $300 billion in cuts through 2034, which includes pushing some of the costs down to states.
