At the very start of what was supposed to be a weeklong space mission, NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore had to wonder if they’d ever make it back to the Earth’s surface.
As Williams and Wilmore approached the International Space Station last year, the thrusters on their Boeing Starliner capsule gave out, leaving the spacecraft unable to move forward.
When they realized they might not be able to dock on the ISS, a frightening — and as it turned out, prophetic — thought entered their minds.
“If we weren’t able to dock, would we be able to make it back [to Earth]?,” Wilmore told the BBC. “We didn’t know.”

Since Trump began his second term, Britain has become a political escape hatch for American celebrities and wealthy Democrats.
It’s so popular that last week, the British Home Office released data showing that in the 12 months leading up to March, almost 7,000 US citizens applied to become British subjects or live here indefinitely — the highest number since such records began in 2004.
A third of those applications have been received since Trump took office at the start of 2025.
There are the famous emigres. Kamala Harris supporters Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have taken up residence in the bucolic Cotswolds, selling their Montecito homes

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration admitted possible cancer-causing toxins were spread in East Palestine, Ohio, following the Norfolk Southern train derailment in 2023, explosive new emails show, despite the White House insisting residents were safe.
“The occurrence of a cancer-cluster in EP [East Palestine] is not zero,” FEMA recovery leader James McPherson wrote in a March 29, 2024, email to other public health officials — a little more than a year after the crash.
“As you all are aware, the first 48 hours of the fire created a really toxic plume,” he said in the chain of communications, which were first reported by News Nation.

An illegal alien gang member who’d been detained since the Biden era was finally deported this month, but that’s now evidently a problem.
The illegal alien, alleged “former” MS-13 gang banger Jordin Melgar-Salmeron, was detained by immigration officials in 2022 after he completed a prison sentence for being in possession of an unregistered, sawed-off shotgun, according to The New York Times.
Melgar-Salmeron then lingered in detainment as the Biden administration put his case on hold. Once the Trump administration took over, they immediately sought to end the hold.

Rosie O’Donnell left the U.S. in high dudgeon after President Donald Trump reclaimed the White House. Now she is saying – no, promising – a return is impossible until “this administration is completely finished, and hopefully held accountable for their crimes.”
The self-deported Ireland resident made the revelation in an interview with Variety chief correspondent Daniel D’Addario.
The interviewer asked the former daytime talk show host, “I was delighted to see you pop up on “Hacks” recently as well, playing yourself. Any other comedies you’re thinking about joining?”
O’Donnell responded by saying other projects have been in the pipeline, however the current occupant of the White House puts her off:

I was too young to see the 1970 film "M*A*S*H" in theaters, but was a regular watcher of the television series that debuted in 1972 and ran for 11 seasons. As a Gen X kid, I got to know the character of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, expertly portrayed by Loretta Swit, and see her evolve from the butt of sexual jokes and innuendo to a multi-faceted and complex female lead. (Snip) You could say Swit died with her boots on. On Friday she quietly passed away at the age of 87.

Michael and Tasha Patterson believed they were taking their newborn twins for a doctor’s visit. But what was supposed to be a normal check-up turned into a legal nightmare.
Now, they are locked in a battle with the State of Florida for custody of their kids.
As a nurse practitioner, Tasha knew early on that something wasn’t right with her twins, Malachi and Micah. Both were born prematurely by C-section, at 34 weeks into her pregnancy. The twins were admitted into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and were later discharged.
However, they still exhibited serious health issues. “I brought them to the doctor every time something didn’t seem right,” Tasha told Townhall.

Imagine if Kamala Harris had won.
Imagine what we wouldn’t know. Imagine what wouldn’t have happened. Imagine the jobs never created, the energy never unleashed, the borders never secured, the enemies never deterred, and the schools never reformed.
Now imagine what has happened under President Trump’s return to the White House—and ask yourself just how much better off we really are.
In just the first 100 days of Trump’s second term, the U.S. economy added over 345,000 jobs. That’s not bureaucratic inflation either—more than half were created in heavy-lift sectors like mining, construction, and manufacturing. Remember those? The industries Harris promised to “transition away from” with a smile and a bullet-pointed climate plan.

In a bold effort to confront decades of shortcomings in veteran care, President Trump recently signed an Executive Order to establish the National Center for Warrior Independence—a dedicated initiative set to be built on the Veterans Affairs campus in West Los Angeles. With an ambitious target of housing 6,000 homeless veterans by 2028, the order also enacts sweeping reforms to reduce wait times at VA hospitals, expand virtual healthcare access, and reinstate accountability by removing employees found guilty of misconduct.
Trump’s order marks a significant pivot in federal policy. It is the most comprehensive federal initiative in more than a decade aimed at combating veteran homelessness—and a long-overdue reckoning

In the heart of America’s steel country, President Donald Trump received praise on Friday from Pittsburgh steelworkers after vowing to keep U.S. Steel an “American company.” Workers cheered as Trump announced he had blocked a foreign takeover and secured a new partnership that preserves the future of the iconic steelmaker. For many in the industry, Trump’s action wasn’t just policy—it was personal.
“We saved the legacy of all of our forefathers. They’re all looking down on us and saying thank you,” one worker said.

A Secret Service whistleblower has come forward with a shocking allegation: former President Joe Biden was so mentally impaired during his time in the White House that he would “get lost in his closet,” according to Sen. Josh Hawley. On Friday, Hawley revealed the disturbing claim as part of a broader accusation that Democrats engaged in a deliberate cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline—what he now calls one of the most egregious political scandals in modern presidential history.
“Listen, I'll tell you something that, uh, I haven't said before, 'cause it came from a Secret Service whistleblower this past year,” Hawley explained to Sean Hannity on Fox News.

On Friday, Joe Biden gave a speech at the annual Memorial Day event at Veterans Memorial Park in New Castle, Del. — his first public remarks since the revelation of his cancer diagnosis.
And it went as well as you would expect. And if you expected him to make the speech about himself and his family, you were right.
What should have been a solemn tribute to the men and women who laid down their lives for this country turned into yet another chapter in the Biden family memoir. Rather than focusing on the fallen heroes we’re meant to honor,
