It's Time to Stigmatize Some People Again

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 11/7/2025 3:24:57 PM

There it was this morning, plain as day. It was a screenshot of a woman going off about how her food stamps were cut off, the $1,000 per month she and her family supposedly get from the government, juxtaposed against her being called out by someone else for hair extensions, expensive trips to the nail salon, and tattoos. In short, she wastes money on unnecessary things and then demands money from the government to support herself. She's squandering money on luxuries while relying on the taxpayers to fund her groceries for anywhere between four and seven people in her household. And worse, there's no sense of shame among many of these people.

Maybe those on public dole, with exemptions for truly incapacitated and unable, should recieve the help they need, but with set goals and assistance to achieve those goals within a time-frame - or be cut off. Mandatory classes. training, job search requirements - including a roster of businesses contracted with agencies to get people into entry level jobs. Chronic and generational dependency does not have skills, direction, or foresight. A regular gift of free money to able-bodied but ignorant, does nothing to inspire or drive them to be independent.

I have a niece heading in the same direction as the woman in the article, thankfully, she doesn't have any kids. I still remember years ago going to the store and standing in line behind some woman who pulled out food stamps to pay for about a hundred dollars' worth of meat. She proceeded to leave the store and jump into a new Cadillac and drive off.

I worked full time since I was 18. I am now comfortable in my retirement and proud of my work history. I give all sympathy and don't begrudge the benefits to those truly unable to work. Another problem is poor schooling, poor parenting and environment. This welfare underclass is one of the Democrats' main voting base and it's a huge one and they want to see it grow. National bankruptcy is of no concern. They will be out of office with their gold-plated pensions. They will never accept any true solutions and to be honest, they will fight to defend the present situation and always will.

Having lived in the most musical city in the southeast, this story wouldn't even make a gossip column because it is the "way of the world" in certain segments of the city, i.e., "public housing." One can hardly travel the nearby streets for the high-dollar blacked-out windowed automobiles, impossibly raised OR lowered and stickered, that fill up both sides of the streets.

Step one is to do a reset on the entire process. Everyone has to reapply and be approved. This would eliminate quite a few folks who are not eligible or who can work to support themselves.

In more innocent times, teenagers became notorious at various times for swallowing goldfish, seeing how many people they could stuff into a phone booth (look it up, kids), and smoking lots of hash. Now, the latest teen craze has a decidedly more sinister edge: over the last few days, Muslims in their late teens and early twenties have been arrested in Michigan, New Jersey, and Washington state. All of them were at various stages of the planning of jihad mass murder plots. The plots largely revolved around rich kids with plenty of time on their hands and a newfound, brightly burning hatred. Until the time that Barack Obama took office, I had a reasonable amount of faith in the U.S. federal government. I knew that those on the Left in positions of leadership, as well as some on the Right, often concocted narratives for their own ends. The mainstream media decidedly leaned Left, and shaded every story, feature, event, and happening in the U.S. and around the world to their own point of view. Still, it was easy enough to get past what they were claiming. I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination. —Jimmy Dean It’s time to adjust our sails. On the heels of Tuesday’s electoral victories, the Democrats are motivated and energized: In their estimation, the so-called “Schumer Shutdown” is working marvelously, because the American people are blaming the Republicans. And the Democrats are reaping the political benefits. That’s because voters know that the White House, Senate, and House are all under GOP control, but they don’t really understand the nuances of parliamentary procedure. (Yawn: boring!) Instead of focusing on the 60-man threshold necessary to overcome a Democratic filibuster, they’re focusing on leadership:

The theory sounded far-fetched and absurd, but Germans bought into it. However, the reality was a total disaster. Fast-forward to today, and Germany is now raising its retirement age to 70.
