A circuit judge bites back at the Supreme Court

Original Article

Judge James C. Ho of the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has given voice to what many of us have seen developing over the recent past with the present make-up of the Supreme Court — a not-so-subtle dislike of President Trump, to put it mildly, and an inexplicable tendency to bend over backwards to give members of designated terrorist groups such as Tren de Aragua the benefit of every conceivable doubt. The case of AARP v. Trump dealt with one of the many attempts to secure via forum-shopping that which the far left could never achieve at the ballot box:

President Trump now has his # 1 choice for any upcoming open seat on SCOTUS. Incredible.

Read the judges opinion. It clearly explains, in plain language, why the lawsuit and rulings were incorrect. He seems annoyed at the District Court and Supreme Court's disregard of the time lines from when the case was files and the ruling without giving the Trump administration a chance to respond to the lawsuit. Seems like normal procedures and rules of judicial fairness were ignored.

Judge Ho is an exception to the rule that foreign born judges are terrible leftists. The Judge wrote an amazing takedown of the (mostly) idiots passing themselves off as "brilliant jurists," who in reality, can't even reside within our written laws. Bravo, Judge Ho!

Judge Ho also mentioned how Amy Barrett once complained over an order requiring “only 9 days” of contemplation, while in this case that had taken a mere 42 minutes before they took it up from a district court

This might be a good article, but I don’t know, because it’s a terrible read. And I’m retired from the same profession as the author is. I’d go back and edit it to make points more clear and concise- and put some bullet points at the beginning.

FBI’s Disgraced Comey Peddles Ludicrous
‘8647’ Explanation

Disgraced former FBI Director, James Comey, mysteriously found seashells on his beach walk listing the numbers, “8647,” which to any half-aware person means, “Assassinate President Trump.” Comey posted on Instagram, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk…” and then after push back, he removed it and posted an imbecilic excuse stating, “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me, but I oppose violence of any kind, so I took the post down.” What a deranged idiot! It’s time to wear the Trump hats again stating, “Trump was right about everything,” concerning firing Comey

As you’ve no doubt heard, when South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, appeared in the White House yesterday, President Trump challenged him on the fact that South Africa’s white farmers are being targeted with a new land confiscation law, and are also the victims of targeted attacks, another layer of hazard in a land rife with violent crime. It’s for this reason that Trump gave visas to a paltry 58 white South Africans, sending the Democrats—the same ones who’ve been complacent as upwards of 32 million illegal aliens breached our borders—into paroxysms of race-based rage.

Ed Martin’s nomination to serve as DC Attorney was nuked by Republican Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC). He was in office on an interim basis. Trump selected Jeanine Pirro to replace Martin, who is now a pardon attorney and helming the Department of Justice’s weaponization task force. Martin is looking at Biden’s pardons, specifically the ones issued toward the end of his presidency. They might not be legal. It comes off allegations that Biden aides might have illegally used the autopen. President Trump has asked who was behind the autopen since it’s become clear that Joe Biden was not mentally cogent enough to know what was going on (via The Hill):

If Democrats in Vacationland thought the censure of Rep. Laurel Libby would put an end to the education policy debate surrounding Title IX—and the participation of biological men in women’s sports—they’ve misread the moment, misread federal law, and badly misread their voters. What was meant to silence dissent has only amplified it. What was supposed to end the debate has cracked it wide open. In March, I wrote about how Democrats’ schizophrenic treatment of women’s sports—both existential and irrelevant, depending on the news cycle—was a political liability that helped cost them the 2024 election. Today, in Maine, that liability is becoming a full-blown revolt.

Megyn Kelly was tough but fair. It was a reckoning that was long overdue for an industry that did work to cover up Joe Biden’s apparent health issues. The mental health scheme was something we’ve been saying for years. A minor fall—okay? But the incidents where Joe Biden exhibited signs of aging, dementia, and a degrading memory are too numerous. Something was wrong. We were right, and the legacy press was wrong. This is often the case, but this one was the equivalent of no one noticing the elephant in the room. No, it was knowing the elephant was present

Ah, Jeffrey Epstein. We finally have an official statement from our own side, and it contradicts every last thing our own side has believed now for years. Let’s all approach this analytically. I would be willing to bet that no one reading this right now was there in that jail cell. No one reading right now was on the island, on the plane, or anywhere else relevant to the case. We have secondhand knowledge at best. It is easy to believe a conspiracy theory. It is hard to admit it if you are wrong. Do I think serious crimes were committed? Yes.

I remember reading somewhere that there were those working with James Comey who referred to him as “St. James” Comey because of his absolute certainty that he was always right about everything and had an insufferably smug way of letting you know it. Seemed credible at the time. Seems more credible now. Here’s how Amazon describes his non-fiction book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership: In his book, former FBI director James Comey shares his never-before-told experiences from some of the highest-stakes situations of his career in the past two decades of American government, exploring what good, ethical leadership looks like, and how it drives sound decisions.

This year, the Cannes festival presented its lifetime achievement award to Robert De Niro. Art looks for truth. Art embraces diversity. That’s why art is a threat. “That’s why we are a threat to autocrats and fascists. A Wednesday New York Post headline momentarily deceives those inclined to optimism. It reads, “Gov. Tim Walz feeds rumor mill about Derek Chauvin pardon, despite Trump saying he knows nothing about it.” That optimist might think that the Minnesota governor was moved to reconsider Chauvin’s fate, the inspiration being a recent judicial order issued by Hennepin County Judge Edward Wahl. The ruling followed a defamation suit brought by Assistant Minneapolis Police Chief Katie Blackwell. Blackwell sued Liz Collin of Alpha News and the other parties responsible for her book, They’re Lying: The Media, The Left, And the Death of George Floyd,

In his press conference about the 90-day trade deal he reached with the Chinese, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant, in less than a minute, threw in a small detail about Joe Biden’s presidency that speaks volumes. First, it reveals how utterly feckless Joe Biden was and, second, it reveals how America benefits from a manifestly strong president. (Snip) In other words, China’s escalating trade depredations against the United States in the past four years, years that were terribly damaging to American manufacturers and workers, came about because the Chinese knew that, with Joe Biden in the White House, they could get away with trade murder.

Former FBI Director James Comey doesn’t expect the Trump administration to take any further action against him over an Instagram post that some, including the president, viewed as a call to assassinate the commander-in-chief. In his first public remarks since sharing an image of seashells arranged on a beach to form the numbers “86 47,” Comey told MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace he found it “hard to have regret” over the post that he still believes looks “totally innocent” — saying it was “crazy” that anyone would see it as a call for violence

Left-wing media very much wants President Donald Trump to have dementia. At first, they began peddling this narrative to distract from former President Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline. Now, they are likely using it for a similar reason. The Insider published a so-called “investigation” into Trump’s supposed cognitive issues during his second term. It enlisted several mental health professionals to support their narrative. Dr. Bandy Lee, formerly of Yale University, claimed the president is showing clear signs of early dementia. These signs include reduced vocabulary, incoherence, impulsivity, and “paraphasias,”

Most of us are old enough to remember Ann Coulter. Back in the early days of this here century, Coulter briefly cut a gigantic figure within the American Right. Many found her good-looking (no rarity among con women, it’s true) with traditional WASP features and a mane of blonde hair, though others found her a trifle horse-faced. For a time, it seemed possible that she’d attain a status second only to El Rushbo himself. She appeared on the covers of national magazines, became a go-to source for quotes, and was profiled and tracked in the gossip columns. For a year or two, Coulter appeared unstoppable. There was a time, not so long ago, when climate scientist Michael Mann could bully critics into silence with the mere threat of a lawsuit. He was the face behind the infamous "hockey stick" graph, a man lauded by progressives, featured in Al Gore's documentary, and embraced by a media eager to label skeptics as dangerous deniers. But the courtroom, as it turns out, is no place for manufactured myths or moral grandstanding. A Washington, D.C. court just handed Mann a bruising legal defeat. After more than a decade of litigation, he has been ordered to pay over $1 million in attorney's fees to the very people he accused of defamation:

Spanish authorities were experimenting with how far they could push their reliance on renewable energy before the Iberian Peninsula was hit with a massive power outage last month, it has been suggested. As people wait for more answers on what caused the power cut that disrupted tens of millions of lives across Spain and Portugal, several have questioned Spain's heavy reliance on renewable energy sources as it plans to phase out nuclear reactors. Spain's socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has rejected such criticism, asking for patience while the government investigates the causes of the historic blackout.

According to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Iran is now capable of spinning up enough of its highly enriched uranium (HEU) from its current level of 60% to the 90% necessary to build a nuclear bomb, in “probably less than one week.” The timeline for Israel to act against Iran's nuclear program has now compressed considerably. Coupled with the glacial pace of U.S. talks with Iran on its nuclear program, and the state of readiness of Israeli strike forces, some analysts have concluded that Israel is prepared to strike Iranian nuclear facilities in a matter of days. The impasse in nuclear talks with Iran is "irreconcilable," according to the Israelis.

I want to celebrate him as long we’re both still around to enjoy the occasion. He is a remarkable artist, self-invented, deep in the American grain. A few years back I visited Dylan’s old home at 2425 7th Avenue East in Hibbing. The house is a small two-story residence with a one-car attached garage on the side. The house is exactly two blocks from Hibbing High School, Dylan’s alma mater. A Dylan fan must be somewhere in the chain of title. At the time
