Walmart to Raise Prices Because of Tariffs

Walmart said Thursday it plans to raise prices on some goods beginning later this month, in response to President Trump’s tariffs. “We will do our best to keep our prices as low as possible but given the magnitude of the tariffs, even at the reduced levels announced this week, we aren’t able to absorb all the pressure given the reality of narrow retail margins,” Walmart CEO Doug McMillon is expected to say during a Thursday earnings call, according to prepared remarks obtained by several media outlets. The U.S. and China agreed earlier this week to lower their respective reciprocal tariffs for 90 days as they look to end a bruising trade war

Walmart has already been raising prices. Translation of their announcement: We intend to continue selling you junk from China and will do whatever it takes to keep pushing this merchandise. The knick-knacks, toys, furniture and fake jewelry will not harm you but the meat and fish are questionable. We will sell it anyway because it hasn't poisoned you yet. Any questions?

The plan is to make offshore products on the same playing field as American, that is if we make them. If we don't, then we need to which will put some of our unemployed to work and off welfare. Importing goods is fine if they are not vital to our safety and well being. We shouldn't rely on that. What happens if we go to war and the ships are docked? We are SOL.

They have been jacking prices up for a long time, while reducing selection, service and quality. They are doing everything someone might do if they wanted to sabotage the company. Republican spending hawks dealt a significant blow to President Trump’s domestic agenda on Friday, blocking his “big, beautiful” bill from advancing through the House Budget Committee. The measure failed in a 16-21 vote, with five Republicans voting no: Representatives Chip Roy of Texas, Ralph Norman of South Carolina, Josh Brecheen of Oklahoma, Andrew Clyde of Georgia and Lloyd Smucker of Pennsylvania. The party could only lose the support of two of its members and still pass the legislation. The fiscal hawks who voted down the 1,116-page bill argue the measure doesn’t include enough spending cuts

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Friday that it had launched “Operation Gideon’s Chariots,” aimed at clearing out the remaining Hamas terrorists, tunnels, and weapons from Gaza — inch by inch. Earlier this month, as Breitbart News reported, Israel called up its reserves and began preparing the operation, warning Hamas that it would launch Gideon’s Chariots if all hostages were not freed by the conclusion of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the region. As Breitbart News reported at the time: Military analysts describe “Gideon’s Chariots” as a classic “clear, hold, build” strategy to root out Hamas and create new, credible, demilitarized civilian authorities to govern the Palestinian communities in Gaza.

Too many fishing lines in the same pond. It’s so overcrowded that even James Comey, the insufferable, holier-than-thou ex-FBI director, just tried his hand at it. And still, the great Trump whale eludes them. It beckons the self-righteous description of another failed fisherman, Captain Ahab: “all my means are sane, my motive and my object mad.” In other words, it’s the inverse of the classic Costanza-inspired breakup: “It’s not me. It’s YOU.” Curses and drat, ye Trump! For 10 long years, Democrats have been hunting Donald Trump. For 10 long years, they’ve done everything they could to spear the great monster of the Republic — the dreaded leviathan who is “dismantling our democracy.”

Newly released audio from then-President Joe Biden’s lengthy interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur captures Biden’s diminished mental acuity in his failure to recall the year his son Beau passed away, the year his vice presidency ended, the year President Donald Trump was first elected, and why he possessed certain classified documents. Biden’s long pauses and incoherent ramblings in response to light questioning from Hur are apparent in over four minutes of audio first reported by Axios on Friday night. The partial release fulfills expectations that the Trump administration would finally disclose the long-anticipated interview tape after Biden’s administration obstructed its disclosure at every turn.

We reported earlier how some of the audio from Special Counsel Robert Hur team's interview with Joe Biden had been released by Alex Thompson, one of the authors of the new book about Biden, "Original Sin." That audio segment dealt with how confused Biden was, even over such a pivotal moment as when his son died. As you may recall, Biden later didn't tell the truth and attacked the Hur team for mentioning his son, but the audio shows that yes, indeed, it was Biden who brought up his son. Biden also had confusion over things like when President Donald Trump first took office. It's one thing reading

This can be achieved above all by investing in the family, founded upon the stable union between a man and a woman, ‘a small but genuine society, and prior to all civil society,'” Pope Leo XIV said, with a reference to Pope Leo XIII’s Rerum Novarum encyclical.

They’ve also sidestepped whether the party should have more forcefully called on him to abandon his reelection bid earlier. “How are some of these national frontrunners or people who are already barnstorming states like South Carolina or Iowa expected to look voters in the eyes with a straight face and say, ‘Trust me, even though I got the 2024 election

Today, they’re more than just an ancient motto; they are policy, and President Donald J. Trump knows it. As Sen.
