If the 2024 election told us nothing else, it confirmed that the voters aren’t nearly as credulous as the Democrats and the corporate media believe them to be. Indeed, according to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center six weeks prior to the election, only 22 percent of American adults believed news organizations deal fairly with all sides. Ironically, considering that the news coverage of the Trump administration has been overwhelmingly negative, the primary beneficiaries of this brazenly biased reporting appear to have been President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

The Catholic Church has issued a warning to its clergy in Washington state: Any priest who complies with a new law requiring the reporting of child abuse confessions to authorities will be excommunicated.
The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection.
However, the Archdiocese of Seattle and several bishops argue that the law not only contravenes church doctrine but crosses constitutional lines, while supporters maintain it is a crucial step to protect minors from abuse.

Having endured a protracted and usually acrimonious political campaign, the long-suffering public is subjected to utterly predictable screeds penned by the new president’s enemies and equally inevitable encomia written by his supporters. All of this blather is predicated on the preposterous notion that it is possible to divine the ultimate success or failure of a presidency a little more than three months after inauguration day.
In a new executive order published yesterday, President Donald Trump placed a target on sanctuary cities and created yet another trap for his political foes. This new proposal requires the federal government to create a list of “sanctuary” jurisdictions which refuse to cooperate with federal authorities on immigration law. It instructs various federal departments to defund sanctuary jurisdictions as much as they can under current law, and also to establish policies which verify the legal status of those who receive federal benefits in sanctuary jurisdictions.
What’s more, this executive order telegraphs that the Trump administration may escalate its legal battles.

LOS ANGELES — Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg said Friday that Democrats have to figure out how to grow their party in order to help younger people pay their bills and focus on having fun and sex. On Monday, the credentials committee of the DNC voted 13-2 to void the election results from February in which Hogg and Pennsylvania state Rep. Restaurants on Lower Broadway have shut down due to fears of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s presence in Nashville.
Fox 17 reported that at least two restaurants closed last weekend due to the rumored presence of law enforcement.
“It’s just creating this general sense of fear all the time,” said a manager to Fox 17. “There were rumors flying around about ICE being on Lower Broadway. It was credible enough that we had to close the restaurant because back-of-house staff had to leave. Everyone split.”

Democrat Rep. Shiri Thanedar (MI) has introduced a resolution to force a chamber-wide impeachment vote against President Trump.
Thanedar introduced “his impeachment resolution as privileged on Tuesday afternoon, meaning leaders have two days of the House in session to take up the legislation,” per Fox News.
No House Republicans have signaled support for the measure, and leaders could potentially keep lawmakers from voting on impeachment at all.
When deeming his resolution privileged, Thanedar said the president “has unlawfully conducted himself, bringing shame to the presidency and the people of the United States,” while calling the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) a “flagrantly unconstitutional creation.”

Who didn’t? I was on Australian television during the 2020 election campaign, and casually mentioned that Joe Biden was senile. Rita Panahi was startled and said, “Wait, what? Joe Biden is senile?” I explained that this was why he was running a basement campaign rather than putting on campaign events like Donald Trump did. It seemed obvious at the time.
