Oh, my GAWD -this is getting so good.
I mean, to the point where there's no 'Republic of Alberta...YET,' good.
The morning after the country went to the polls, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith laid down the law to newly elected Canadian Prime Minister and WEF/Davos climate cult toadie Mark Carney that she - meaning Alberta - wasn't going to stand for any NetZero nonsense out of Ottawa. They'd quite had their fill, thank you.

Will someone ever tell us what is the optimum amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?
But, the question has needs also to address, optimum to what? Trees, crops, plants, ocean creatures or just what those that want to regulate it, say so.

According to the chart, Alberta IS Canada. The other provinces (except British Columbia and Ontario) are sucking the Canada Cow dry.

Welcome Alberta! You're more American than many of our states. Do it!

We raced in Edmonton years ago. The people were great. Very American. It is a rich province. Carney the Fool will lose it.

Don't let these pantywaist lefty pukes push you around, Alberta. Push comes to shove, I'm sure the USA would support an independent Alberta, perhaps with a few other western and northwestern provinces joining in for good measure.

The previous premier also signed into law legislation ending Alberta's equalization payments. Ottawa, which controls the taxation cash flows, ignored Alberta and continues to collect the payments, which go to its scofflaw province (QC) and "have not" Atlantic provinces. This "freeze" may or may not have teeth depending upon how the taxation cash flows are collected. Provincial premiers can only do so much against the tyrannical hydra in Ottawa, however, so the real heavy lifting will have to be done by the citizenry forcing -- and passing -- a referendum on secession from Canada.

I wonder if Mark Carney has ever been to Alberta. I understand he has spent most of his time in Great Britain or the EU. Pathetic that these leftists pretend to be about democracy, then the Liberal Party installs a leader.

#2. The planet has seen CO2 levels in the atmosphere from 9000 ppm to the recent roughly 400 ppm.
6000 parts per million is the same as 9/10ths of 1 percent, and 400 parts per million is 4/100ths of 1 percent.
So, we have, as a planet, done well over a range of 22.5X. The concept that increasing some tiny smidge from 400 ppm to say 2.5 times that, arbitrarily 1,000 ppm, would be some massive world ending tragedy is patently ridiculous.
And FAR, FAR more ridiculous is the claim that the increase from 300ish ppm in the 1800s to the 400s ppm today is some 'break the planet' sort of a change. It is MINISCULE and entirely irrelevant on the long term scale of things.
There is no factual basis for some "ideal CO2" level. The planet has survived very, very well with gigantic swings in the CO2 level, all having NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with humans....since we did not exist.
This whole "CO2 is a pollutant" is a total FRAUD. More CO2 means more green plants. That's an unalloyed good.

Re #9, a typo.....at one point I typed 6000 ppm, which should have been 9000 ppm. And clarification, ppm is parts per million.
