The Coup Against Sen. Fetterman Is Officially Underway

“Kindness is the beginning of cruelty.” —Frank Herbert Three years ago, the Democratic Party nominated John Fetterman to the Senate, despite his significant health problems. It wasn’t a secret: Fetterman’s brain trauma was on full display during his horrendous debate against Dr. Mehmet Oz, where he stammered, stuttered, and (repeatedly) lost his train of thought. Fetterman won anyway, beating Oz by nearly 5% points, helping the Democrats flip the only Senate seat of the 2022 midterms, giving the Donkeys control of the Senate for the first time since 2015. It was an important election — and a Faustian bargain:

Dems are hoping Fetterman resigns well before he is up for another term. They'll install a 'woke' AOC-wannabe place holder. Voting the party line 97% of the time is not good enough for the Dems.

Well, I hope they have a good attorney. Publishing Fetterman's medical records without his approval is a major violation of federal law. His doctor better seek a good attorney, too.

Junky lib New York Magazine (the so-called "city" magazine) carried the flag, printing medidal information the Walter Reed doctor should not have disclosed, and printing all kinds of observations of his conduct while ill and then, much later, getting to an actual interview with Fetterman in which he was quite normal. From this article (not NYM) In journalistic terms, they deliberately buried the lede because it interfered with their desired narrative. They printed the hit piece above the fold — “Stupid brain-damaged Senator has Gotta Go!” — and hid the retraction on page 57. Again, this is weird. The article even weaponized Fetterman’s wife against him, selecting certain texts (and ignoring others) to tell the story they desired. The author cites all kinds of worrying texts and actions from Gisele Fetterman:

No fan of Fetterman but what is being done to him is positively unconscionable. I hope he sues the magazine and the doctor who spilled the beans about his private, medical information. HE should be sued for everything he has, IMO. It seems that Democrats in Congress are only satisfied and accepting of their colleagues if they are all to the left of insanity. If that continues.... and it seems that it will.....the dems will find themselves in the political wilderness for years to come. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Lockstep thinking is required to be a democrat in good standing. That and a filthy mouth and willingness to make a fool of yourself singing stupid songs. And sitting on steps and acting like fools. And taking a knee for George Floyd but not standing for Laken Riley. In other words, vitriol, stupidity, violence and profanity rule democrats right now.

Fetterman brought this on himself. Being a Democrat politician is like being a Communist Party boss: you never know when you’re going to be “disappeared”. Next thing you know, his face will be photoshopped out of Democrat pictures. Liberals always eat their own.

This is how the Democrats operate and Fetterman’s been in Washington long enough to know that. He doesn’t need my pity. They are showing their hind ends to him in their usual flagrant fashion. If he wants to persist in tying himself to these morally bankrupt gang members that is his choice.

Last week, John wrote about Pres. Trump’s executive order defunding public broadcasting (PBS, NPR) and whether or not it will stand up. I’m more interested in the reaction of the public broadcasters: unhinged hysteria. From the U.K. Guardian, NPR and PBS push back against Trump’s order to cut funding: ‘This could be devastating’ PBS’s Paula Kerger and NPR’s Katherine Maher say they’re looking at legal options to defend against White House. “Legal options.” We’ve been told for decades that public broadcasting gets only a tiny percent of their funding from the Feds. From NPR itself, NPR typically receives about 1%

We have entered a whole new era in our country’s political history. This is something we have written about before, but this current Rasmussen polling offers more evidence: Whites are a relatively weak group for President Trump, as are old people. He scores best with Hispanics, second best with Asians. Sex isn’t a big factor, although Trump is obviously more popular with men than with women. And age doesn’t matter much, either. In other words, the Democrats’ relentless focus on “identity” is wholly misguided. “Identity” matters less than it ever has in our politics. And if Democrats think they are currying favor with Hispanics by aligning themselves with Central American gangs
