Democrat Skipping Trump Tariff Vote Sparks Anger

A Democratic lawmaker's decision to skip a key vote on Donald Trump's new tariffs has sparked backlash from other Democrats. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse missed the vote to rebuke Trump's global tariffs on Wednesday, which ended in a 49-49 tie, before Vice President JD Vance traveled to Capitol Hill to cast a tiebreaking vote against the resolution. Even if it did pass the Senate, the House wasn't expected to take up the resolution after Republicans passed a rule that specifically blocks this type of resolution until the end of September. Trump would also likely have vetoed the resolution if it reached

Comments:

Kooky Whitehouse was on a taxpayer paid junket. The Turtle also missed the vote. Left is furious but can do nothing about it now.

DENVER — The impact of President Donald Trump's new policies and executive orders have been felt around the country, including in Denver classrooms. Data from Denver Public Schools found that in the weeks and months after Trump took office, his mass deportation plans and the fear they instilled in some communities had a big impact on how many kids came to class. Inside Arielle Walker's kindergarten class, students learn the important lessons. Their teacher helps keep students engaged and the classroom bright. "It is crazy hair day for 'Spirit Week' and 'Teacher Appreciation Week,'" Walker said, laughing and pointing the neon

WASHINGTON – Former Supreme Court Associate Justice David Souter, a Republican nominee who sided with his liberal colleagues in many high-profile cases in his 19-year tenure, has died. He was 85. (Snip) A former New Hampshire attorney general, Souter’s background as a New England moderate put him at odds with the more conservative Republican Party forged by Ronald Reagan’s presidency. That perspective often left Souter in dissent on a conservative high court led by former Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Sen. Medicaid is one of the key issues in the debate over the reconciliation bill. The House Energy and Commerce Committee has been tasked with finding cuts that would save

The governor, a 60-year-old heir to the Hyatt hotel fortune, and the congresswoman, the 35-year-old with working-class roots, both won their first elections in 2018. Both have urged mass resistance and accused their party of

California's beleaguered pot industry was given another piece of bad news Thursday afternoon: The state cannabis tax rate will increase from 15% to 19% on July 1, the highest allowed by state law. The 26% change, devised by Gov. Gavin Newsom, is ironically being made precisely because the state's legal industry is floundering while the illicit market thrives. The Biden administration claimed to have added almost 400,000 jobs from July through September of last year, but new data released this week suggest none of those jobs ever existed. Despite constantly gaslighting by the mainstream media, Americans knew the economy was in poor shape and these latest numbers prove it. Month after month, the government bean-counters under former-president Biden published overly optimistic estimates for everything from job growth to the size of the economy, only to have those numbers routinely—and quietly—revised down later. Every month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produces estimates for the number of nonfarm payrolls in the country,
