White House: U.S. Announces
China Trade Deal in Geneva

Original Article

And, there it is: we have a trade deal! The White House just announced that the United States has secured a huge trade deal with China. This very well could mean that the trade war with China is coming to an end. In other words, the tariffs worked, as President Trump promised! Negotiations were held in Geneva this weekend between U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.

Comments:

Looking forward to reading the agreement. Hopefully there is a verify ala Reagan policy in the details.

It is not a trade deal. White House gave incorrect headline.

#2. That’s what they do because that’s all they have. I’m glad to see a trade deal. I didn’t expect one nearly as soon.

Just send any ‘l-l-b-k’ to Geneva for a dinner meeting, preferably in the rain in winter, when finally at the Lodge at the top of the very narrow winding mountain road in Vivey, the rain has turned to a beautiful winter wonderland overlooking Lake Geneva with the rain now snow in the glistening lights, while you sip fine Champagne from France… the deal will be done! Let the details be revealed before revelling in the trade deal. Trust the CCP with a grain of salt. Trust but verify, bigly at that.

The devil is in the details. I fully expect a let down, so am not celebrating yet. But there was perhaps progress. PDT is not the type who will give away the store to the Chicoms. But above posters are right. Expect the MSM to sift through and pick negative points.

Whether by accident or design, the sequence of prior events should have optimized Trump's negotiating leverage with the ChiComs...so maybe he did pull it off. Consider that he first traded hard with close allies (Canada and Europe), online for all to see, for weeks, before he went to the mat with the ChiComs. That way, they knew he was not bluffing. Sounds like a good strategy to me.

Our team fully knew what they were aiming for when they walked in. They may not have gotten everything but that’s what negotiating is. One message the Chinese received loud and clear- the US can and will drive them to their knees economically. I’m very impressed with Bressent. Having a very competent business person as President with a great team behind him is a winner. Every time.

AND what kinda deal is it???...poster #2...what is your problem...the two parties sat down at the same table and came to an agreement for 90 days...so the flow of goods could be resumed....off the California coast.....the delivery tankers were backing up in the harbor....and some were turning back home to china...it was a good deal for both countries...now...the real negotiations will start...is that to your liking...poster #2?

The Chicoms will cheat as they always do but I think Trump's crew knows this. Attempting to smuggle goods through another country will put those cooperating countries in Trump's crosshairs. I would like to see it mandated that Amazon and other companies selling online should have to put country of origin on every product on their websites. Let us know where it comes from before we get the package delivered and discover we have bought a China made item. We can then choose whether to buy it or not. Also note that some countries import Chinese labor forces to make products sold under Italy's high priced designer goods so they can put the Made-in-Italy label on them. Italy got hammered by the Wuhan Flu due to so many of their Chinese laborers going back to celebrate the Chinese New Year then returning and spreading it in the Italian population. They are no longer dealing with Shamblin' Joe and his Communist handlers.

President Trump is set to make a big change! He’s looking to appoint FBI Director Kash Patel as the acting head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), sources say. Patel is expected to be sworn in next week. The move follows Attorney General Pam Bondi’s firing of ATF’s general counsel, Pamela Hicks. Why was she fired? She was accused of “targeting gun owners.” Yep, that sounds on brand for the ATF. The Swamp keeps shrinking by the day!

Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. The answer is no,” Mr. DeSantis told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Thursday. “That will not happen. I think that Republican voters will understand that as we get closer to voting. But it is—it would be fatal in a general election, and I don't think the party should—should nominate in that situation.”

The Biden administration claimed to have added almost 400,000 jobs from July through September of last year, but new data released this week suggest none of those jobs ever existed. Despite constantly gaslighting by the mainstream media, Americans knew the economy was in poor shape and these latest numbers prove it. Month after month, the government bean-counters under former-president Biden published overly optimistic estimates for everything from job growth to the size of the economy, only to have those numbers routinely—and quietly—revised down later. Every month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) produces estimates for the number of nonfarm payrolls in the country,

Jasmine Crockett, the Texas congresswoman who reliably and routinely beclowns herself every single time she opens her mouth, is now going after her own party because as she asserts, they’re considering running the “safest white boy” in 2028 as their next presidential candidate. What would she prefer? The opposite? A problematic black woman? News flash Crockett, y’all just did that, and it was the biggest beating you Democrats have had at the ballot box in more than forty years—since Ronald Reagan, and that was lifetimes ago! She doesn’t like “safe” and “white,” so is “dangerous” and “black” better? Sounds like her ideal candidate would be George Floyd, or O.J. Simpson.

The order mandates any communication to Nashville police, fire, emergency management, or emergency communications personnel by federal immigration law enforcement, or their federal agencies, be reported to the Mayor’s Office of New Americans.

It allows expropriation (seizure) of land without compensation. The law mandates “just and equitable” compensation in most cases, with judicial oversight for disputes. Ahh, "equitable." As we've learned all too well, for the Democrat Party, "equity" — along with "inclusion" — doesn't mean to the left what it means to the rest of us, or what it means in the dictionary. These reports matter because the leftist British approach to governance is what the Democrat party desperately wants to see in America.
