At President Trump’s address Tuesday night he told of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, who was shot and killed not quite a year ago in Far Rockaway, Queens. Trump said that the decorated officer had been shot “while conducting a traffic stop.” Actually, Diller and his partner were investigating a report that an occupant of a car parked in a bus stop had been seen with a handgun. The officers suspected that the car’s occupants were planning to rob a nearby store. Trump introduced Diller’s widow, Stephanie, and used the story to remind the audience that Diller had been killed by criminals with long records (including arrests and convictions that

Stu says "I’d like to know just what sort of people think that killing a police officer is somehow not deserving of being put to death." Dems love to keep criminal out there killing people, just hate the idea of putting them in jail. Sick, warped and how is it that they imagine that THEY will never be victimized by the violent thugs that they unloose upon society? Mr. Tarlowe is an acquaintance, I've known him for years, but not talked with him recently.

"Wokeness", a world view and the Godless religion of true believers, is when a person believes their is no baseline behavior that defines what is "human" and that these soulless biological entities have a duty (to what? no one knows) to create their own norms out of nothing other than their personal "wills to power". Those further up this "will to power" totem pole have decided for personal gain that certain religions, ethnic groups and world views are unacceptable because they are threats to the power (and money) that is all their non-religion has to offer. These "white sepulchers" have sold the souls they didn't even know they had and are now capable of behavior not just sub-human but sub-animal. Evil now possesses them letting them think they are in charge, anyone who gets to this place is already 99% "gone" in all the many meanings of that word.

For weeks, President Donald Trump has said that Canada should be America’s 51st state. He has mocked Canada’s economic dependence on the United States. He has condemned Canadian tariffs and trade restrictions. He has scolded Canada’s free riding on American defense. He has knocked Canada’s porous borders and drug dens. He has accused Canada of colluding with hostile foreign powers and global institutions. He has trolled our prime minister. It’s delightful. Many Canadians are enjoying the show. Up here in the cold white north, Trump has set the cat among the pigeons. Canada’s chattering classes are wringing their hands and gnashing their teeth.

A convicted double murderer is set to die by firing squad in South Carolina on Friday — the first execution of its kind in the US in 15 years. Brad Sigmon, 67, personally requested the unusual punishment after fearing the electric chair would “burn and cook him alive,” his attorney Gerald King wrote in a statement. He also rejected a lethal injection after three previous inmates took more than 20 minutes to die after receiving the fatal dose of pentobarbital, his lawyers said. Sigmon became the first South Carolina inmate to choose the state’s new firing squad method of killing,

Marty Makary is the wrong choice for FDA commissioner. He’s very good at communicating at a popular level, but the fact that he kept pushing the mRNA COVID vaccine long after problems with it were obvious should be an insurmountable barrier to confirmation. In social media posts and through widely circulated video and news interviews, Makary repeatedly promoted just about every Biden White House talking point about the COVID mRNA vaccines. Even as he did this, he never addressed the thousands of peer-reviewed mRNA vaccine injuries described in the literature and the thousands of unretracted Covid-era journal publications.

If you watched Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress Tuesday evening, you know that Democrats behaved like children, and Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) was so disruptive that House Speaker Mike Johnson had him forcibly removed from the chamber. Speaking to reporters after the incident, Green doubled down on his disruptive behavior and, of course, defended his childish actions. “The president said he had a mandate, and I was making it clear to the president that he has no mandate to cut Medicaid,” Green said. “I have people who are very fearful. These are poor people, and they have only Medicaid in their lives

President Donald Trump was “actively trying to destroy” the United States because it’s possible he “hates” the country. When asked how Democrats should react to Trump’s upcoming speech, Carville said, “This man is actively trying to destroy the United States, and I think we ought to treat this moment with real gravitas. I think we’ve got a very good selection in Senator Slotkin to deliver the rebuttal. But my advice is either don’t go or go and sit on your hands and look grim, because the country is in a grim position right now. I hope the Democrats act like that.”

The very simple — and unexpected coming from CNBC, which usually runs cover for pharmaceutical corporations as a matter of course — question posed to Albert Bourla: Vaccine makers like yourself [are] largely shielded from liability. If the products are safe and effective, what is the need to continue to shield, to have these liability shields, and what happens if those shields are changed or go away completely? The very simple answer, assuming the vaccines are actually “safe and effective,” would be: “Nothing happens if we lose our liability shield. We don’t need it because our product is safe and effective, and we are willing to prove that in court

On CNN this morning, Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, who might be the dumbest man in government today, decried the Trump administration’s position on the Russia/Ukraine war. You can read much more at the link, but I am going to focus on just a couple of points. First, the question asked by CNN’s Dana Bash: Host Dana Bash said, “Do you think there’s hope of salvaging this relationship with Ukraine?” This is mind-numbingly stupid. The proper question, as even Zelensky realizes, is whether Ukraine has hope of salvaging its relationship with the United States. So in this interview, you know from the beginning that you are in a fog of unknowing. Murphy’s response

Every Republican president starts with distinct disadvantages. He inherits a largely disloyal and subversive federal bureaucracy, can expect nothing but hostile media coverage, and will be forced to battle for every inch against partisan judges who despise him. Considering how long the Left has owned the culture and America’s educational system, these power centers are strong. Republicans in the past addressed this problem with the failed strategy of attempting to play nice with serpents. It was akin to kissing a rattlesnake, and didn’t end well. President Trump understands that the only way to succeed with so many power centers aligned against him

In a significant policy shift, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered U.S. Cyber Command to halt all planning against Russia, including offensive cyber operations, according to a report by The Record. This directive, which does not affect the National Security Agency’s intelligence-gathering efforts, marks a reversal from the U.S.’s decade-long stance of viewing Russia as a major cybersecurity threat, following incidents like election interference and cyberattacks. One such person who had to chime in was none other than Hillary Clinton, who linked to a Gizmodo article on the report, declaring with sarcasm: “Wouldn’t want to hurt Putin’s feelings.” Hegseth shot back with an epic burn of Hillary.

Victor Davis Hanson has posted the following 10 observations across several social media platforms: Ten bad takeaways from the Zelenskyy blow-up 1. Zelenskyy does not grasp—or deliberately ignores—the bitter truth: those with whom he feels most affinity (Western globalists, the American Left, the Europeans) have little power in 2025 to help him. And those with whom he obviously does not like or seeks to embarrass (cf. his Scranton, Penn. campaign-like visit in September 2024) alone have the power to save him. For his own sake, I hope he is not being “briefed” by the Obama-Clinton-Biden gang to confront Trump, given their interests are not really Ukraine’s as they feign.

The Trump administration’s repudiation of the “green” agenda will have many benefits, not least for the environment. At Watts Up With That?, Paul Driessen states the environmental case against “green” energy succinctly. See original for links: [President Trump’s] actions will benefit wild, scenic and agricultural lands in America and worldwide. * Wind, solar and transmission line installations would have sprawled across tens of millions of acres, impacting habitats, farmlands and scenic vistas, onshore and offshore; interfered with water flow, aviation, shipping and other activities; and killed whales, birds and other wildlife. * These “clean, green” technologies require far more raw materials than the equipment they replace: electric cars need 4-6 times

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with the three liberal members of the court. Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh voted in favor of Trump, with Justice Alito writing the lengthy dissent that begins with: Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer

Crying poor. Hunter Biden has asked a federal judge to drop the laptop hacking lawsuit he slapped against a former Trump White House aide — because he’s “millions of dollars” in debt, “exacerbated” by losing a home in the Los Angeles wildfires, court filings show. The embattled former first son, 55, blamed the recent fires, as well as dwindling sales from his artwork and memoir, for him being plagued by “significant debt” keeping him from “litigating this case” against Garrett Ziegler, according to a motion filed in federal court in California on Wednesday.

During Donald Trump's big speech on Tuesday night, the Democrats proved more than ever that they hate this country and do not wish to see it succeed. They refused to clap for common sense things like lowering taxes and removing dangerous criminals from the streets. Even worse, they failed to applaud for everyone from the mothers of young girls who were brutally murdered to foster dads and foster children. But one of the most disgusting moments of the evening came when they refused to acknowledge a young boy with brain cancer for something that was about as far from partisan as you can get.

The Biden presidency might have been the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the American people. A shocking investigation by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has revealed that virtually every document bearing Joe Biden's signature during his presidency was signed by an autopen — except for one. What makes this revelation particularly damning is that the only document confirmed to have Biden's actual signature was his letter announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. Let that sink in for a moment. Remember when House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) revealed his discussion with Biden when Biden couldn't recall signing the executive order halting LNG exports?

Cairo—The Hamas militant group on Thursday brushed off President Donald Trump’s latest threat and reiterated that it will only free the remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The agreement calls for negotiations over a second phase in which the hostages would be released in exchange for more Palestinian prisoners, a permanent ceasefire and an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. As a lifelong Democrat, I never imagined I would watch my own party embarrass itself so thoroughly — and so publicly — as it did during Tuesday’s joint session of Congress. From obnoxious booing to childish protest signs to a sitting member of Congress having to be physically removed from the chamber, Democrats turned what should have been a solemn, dignified event into a bad reality show. And for what? To go viral on TikTok? To book a slot on MSNBC to brag about their “resistance”? Nothing was more disgraceful than when my colleagues refused to stand or clap when 13-year-old DJ Daniel, a brain-cancer survivor, was made an honorary Secret Service agent.
