George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley has now weighed in on the sweeping pardon that Joe Biden just gave his son on Sunday. It not only covers the crimes for which he was convicted or to which he pled guilty, but it also covers any other possible crimes that may have occurred over 11 years from Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 1, 2024. Turley just eviscerated Biden when he was asked about it by Fox News and the "bad precedent" that Biden could be setting. (X Video) Turley pointed out how this brings to mind the actions of Bill Clinton, who pardoned his brother.

Did anyone believe that that he had integrity? No, they didn't. "Public Service" to Biggie Bidet means "what can I loot from the public."

Gee - - have I been wrong all along - - by referring to him as Despicable Joe? Should I rethink my use of descriptive language?
I'm really agonizing over this - - - - - - - - - -

We all knew this would happen. It is a tacit admission of guilt. Joe, however, is a different story. He has no one who will pardon him.

If I were Biden. I would pardon my son too. I think any father would, if it was in his power. I don't like Biden and I think his son is a total jerk.

We all knew he would pardon Hunter, if for nothing else, to prevent discovery at the tax evasion trial.
(Just where did all that money come from, Hunter?).
The fact that he lied to our faces while he was still running for re-election is the issue. "No one is above the law." Yeah, right.

FTA: “when you become president, your role is to put the nation first“
Might be the case if you’re actually ‘elected’ by the nation.

This could be a good thing. Congress can now call Hunter to testify about everything that went on and everyone involved. Because of the pardon he can't be prosecuted so he no longer has 5th amendment protections.

#6, if I remember correctly, Donald Trump campaigned that he wanted to "Make America Great Again" for all people. He may have his reasons for his choice and all I can say is give him a chance. . .

Why make a big deal out of it. We all knew it was coming.
I would have done the same thing only I wouldn't have said I would not do it.
I wouldn't be surprised if Trump pardoned Joe Biden. Republicans are not as stupid as Democrats.
The Biden administration going after a former President was insane.

No innocent person needs a pardon ahead of his conviction.
And such a broad pardon also serves as an equally broad admission of guilt.
Truth is, we don't know even a small part of the crimes of Hunter and Joe, and Hunter's blanket pardon proves the point.

Here's a thought from David M. Friedman:
"I’m not sure that Joe Biden has fully considered the ramifications of his pardon of Hunter. The pardon is extremely broad and covers activities while Joe was vice president. This means that Hunter cannot plead the Fifth if asked about his business dealings with Ukraine and China, including his Dad’s involvement, because, with his pardon, he has no risk of criminal jeopardy."

Macht nichts -- doesn't mean anything that FJB is being "ripped to shreds" over this -- NONE of the criticism has any teeth. Joe gets away with another abuse of power, letting him cover up and even greater abuse of power. Whether he gets away with either of those remains to be seen. But no consequences of substance, so far.

#13, Hunter testifying against Pedo Joe would be the ultimate karma after the decades of abuse that his father inflicted on him.

#4, Biden could cut a deal with Kamala to resign and let her lay claim to being first woman president in exchange for a pardon.
Or Trump could pardon him as #11 suggests, partly to have a calming effect on the mood of the country and to allow a thorough investigation without Dem lawyers clogging up the works. This might allow investigators to go after deep state actors and clean them out 9f the bureaucracy.

It’s embarrassing as an American to have all the corruption in the presidency for the world to see. Joe truly has turned us into a third world country, even before the stolen 2020 election.

FTA - "In other words, it was a conscious decision to hoodwink the public and even those "in the know" are admitting it. He knew it could hurt his reelection chances, so they decided he would simply say something different than what was happening behind the scenes. That's truly vile. Talk about contempt for the American people."

Possible scenario:
1) Joe pardons Hunter for all wrongs before 2014,
2) Joe leaves office a broken man (shades of LBJ),
3) Congress launches an investigation into Deep State corruption involving Biden Inc. and Ukraine, among others,
4) Congress subpoenas Hunter to testify to these matters and since he has been forgiven by his despicable dad, the dirty son must testify and answer all questions honestly and completely. Should Hunter implicate, or call out, his dad as the provocateur of said criminality, then this opens Pandora's Box for "the Big Guy" and his cronies, namely his family members.
5) If Joe gave a privileged pardon to his dirty kid in order to build a barrier around his "people in the know," then he opened the door to a "deep dive" into the pardoner, as a result.
It would be arguable whether this pardon could even be legal, as it would be akin to a mob boss who sits as "cop, jury, and judge" presiding over a crime of his own making, with a trial outcome that would be easily predictable. Such things cannot happen in a "just system" of jurisprudence.
Cleaning up the cesspool of Congress is more important than cleaning up the FBI and DOJ. Were Congress squeaky clean and obeying the Law, as well as their Congressional Ethics Code, then the other government agencies would be walking the straight and narrow in their everyday duties.

Of all the hundreds of pardons dating all the way back to George Washington no presidential pardon has ever been undone. It is one of the few kingly powers the POTUS has been granted by the people. It has been abused more than once!
There is nothing to do about this but roar at the wind. We all knew it was coming so let's not act shocked.
The bigger abuse may come later when China Joe pardons the rest of his family --- or a lot of others like Comey, Garland, Wray, Mayorkis, etc. He might even step down or fake a stroke (not hard to do!) so Camel-la-la can be the first female President for a few weeks and SHE pardons him!
Anything can happen.
12:01pm on January 20th can't get here fast enough!

I don't need a learned legal scholar to tell me what Allan Dershowitz has explained all along...and he's probably the finest legal mind around....this pardon was a set up by the cheating democrats in the White House war ......
