The whiplash-inducing, “Hunger Games”-style race to become Donald Trump’s Treasury secretary made it easy for the media to ignore what has been going on with Janet Yellen — and the absolute mess she’s leaving for her successor.
Yellen — who, it was revealed Friday, will be replaced as Treasury secretary in January by hedge fund mogul Scott Bessent — was Joe Biden’s pick to run the office that is essentially the country’s CFO.
Indeed, it could be the most important cabinet position in the White House given the importance of the US economy. Americans put Trump in office largely over his handling of the economy during his first term —

Outgoing President Joe Biden, along with his allies in the political and corporate spheres, has repeatedly proven that he is willing to sacrifice the American taxpayer and the nation’s safety for political gain. After President Donald J. Trump's historic re-election and clear leadership mandate, a potential corruption scandal in the Biden administration is becoming clearer.
The Biden Department of Defense (DOD) appears to have a deeply troubling relationship with Valisure, a controversial medical testing company. Through some questionable contacts and contracts, the DOD has aligned itself with an entity whose financial incentives and loose grasp on scientific integrity jeopardize the well-being of American soldiers and the citizens

Matt Gaetz said he fell victim to a 'smear' campaign that dredged up old and discredited allegations in his first interview since withdrawing his name from consideration as Donald Trump's attorney general.
And he revealed he will not be returning to Congress next year despite having been re-elected to the seat he vacated.
Instead, he told The Charlie Kirk Show, he will now work to recruit the talent that could help underpin the new Trump administration.

Federal funding for the country’s largest abortion provider may have had its hey-day after President-elect Donald Trump tapped Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut wasteful spending on useless programs such as transgender and woke DEI— with funding for abortion clinics the first to go. In a joint Wall Street Journal op-ed, Musk and Ramaswamy outlined their plans to cut funding from Planned Parenthood— the nation’s largest abortion clinic.
The two Trump-appointed cabinet picks suggested they are eying everything from "$1.5 billion for grants to international organizations to nearly $300 million to progressive groups like Planned Parenthood.”

Elon Musk has just given the strongest hint yet that he may actually purchase MSNBC.
The troubled left-wing network has seen its ratings nosedive in the wake of Donald Trump’s stunning victory in the 2024 presidential election as furious viewers lash out at the false hope the network gave them or just check out of politics altogether.
Another major controversy has been that involving Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, who informed their audience this week that had met with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and would seek to take a “new approach” to covering his second term in office.

Former President Bill Clinton has addressed a bizarre claim his staff deliberately tore the letter ‘W’ from White House keyboards to hinder his successor, President George W Bush - and admitted that the long-running allegation might be true.
Writing in his new memoir, Citizen – My Life After The White House, Clinton, 78, recalls how a media ‘feeding frenzy’ marred the handover to Bush in 2001 amid claims departing staff had vandalized the West Wing.
At the time, it was said that filing cabinets were glued shut, obscene messages left on answering machines and pornographic pictures placed on office printers.

The political landscape erupted Thursday evening as President Donald Trump announced Pam Bondi, former Attorney General of Florida and a staunch Trump ally, as his nominee for the next Attorney General of the United States.
Bondi’s nomination follows Rep. Matt Gaetz’s withdrawal, a decision that shocked many in the conservative base.
In his official statement, President Trump lauded Bondi’s impressive record as a prosecutor and her leadership as Florida’s first female Attorney General:
“I am proud to announce former Attorney General of the Great State of Florida, Pam Bondi, as our next Attorney General of the United States.

For the first time in the nation’s history, the national debt reached an unprecedented amount, as the Biden-Harris Administration continued to fund foreign wars before their time in the White House ended. The United States national debt surpassed a whopping $36 trillion this week, just over three months since the previous milestone was reached at the end of July.
The mounting debt continues to affect every American, whether at the gas pump, the grocery store, or for everyday necessities. The country’s debt is so astronomical that it may be difficult for Americans to understand its implications.
