Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has declared his willingness to defy federal law and face jail time to protect illegal immigrants—including those with criminal records—from President-elect Donald Trump’s promised deportation efforts.
Johnston, who is doubling down on his sanctuary city agenda, openly encouraged protests and even civil disobedience, framing his resistance as a moral crusade.
During a recent interview with Denverite, Johnston unveiled his audacious plan to transform Denver into what he called a “fortress of resistance” against federal immigration efforts.
His strategy includes mobilizing Denver police officers and thousands of residents to form human barricades to block federal authorities from carrying out deportations.

A draft text released Friday from the environmental negotiators at the U.N.’s COP29 climate alarmism summit would demand that wealthy nations commit to gifting poorer countries $250 billion a year between now and 2035.
Climate activists responded to the proposed contribution with outrage, claiming the sum is “paltry” and “a joke.”
COP29 — formally the Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) — is the 19th edition of the U.N.’s official assembly to discuss how to globally address the alleged climate crisis. It is currently taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, and scheduled to conclude on Friday, though the disagreements over the provisions in the outcome text

A California judge has permanently stripped Texas father Jeffrey Younger of all parental rights to his twin sons, James and Jude, granting Younger’s ex-wife, Anne Georgulas, the authority to chemically and surgically transition their 12-year-old son, James, against his father’s wishes.(Photo) Younger, whose ex-wife, a pediatrician, began transitioning their son to a girl at just two and a half years old, has fought tooth and nail to protect his child. Despite video evidence supporting his concerns, courts in Texas and California have systematically stripped him of his parental rights.

Among the many benefits of Donald Trump’s re-election that our nation and the world are already experiencing is the forever tarnished legacy of Barack Obama. In 2028, will the Democrat candidate want Obama to go on the campaign trail for him or her? I doubt it. Obama's Un-enduring Influence
When he was elected president (assuming that massive Democratic cheating was not in full swing in 2008), Democrats held a commanding 55- to 45-seat majority in the U.S. Senate and an overwhelming 256- to 179-seat majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

With the election in the rearview mirror, things are rightfully shifting from ensuring victory to focusing on delivering results. When the alternative was Kamala Harris, accepting disagreement was not only understandable but paramount. Now that Donald Trump has come out victorious, outcomes matter, and he's about to face his first big test.

Three of the nation’s largest automakers, Ford, General Motors and Stellantis, are strategizing with other car manufacturers on how to make a delicate request of President-elect Donald J. Trump:

One of the most racist, anti-conservative talking liberal heads is at it again with the hateful rhetoric aimed at Trump supporters.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid claimed on Friday that people have a legitimate fear of MAGA supporters and do not feel “safe” around them in a doomsday video message. Reid told her fellow liberals they had a right to be scared of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet choices. “He's put together a cabinet of horrors! People are afraid; they're not just mad because they lost an election,” she said.
Without giving a reason, Reid warned the small amount of viewers she had left that Republicans were going to “control everything.”

As North Carolina Hurricane Helene victims continue to struggle, FEMA reportedly refuses to deploy empty RV trailers to help them.
According to an unnamed N.C. lawmaker, FEMA has multiple empty RV trailers sitting in the N.C. town of Hickory — trailers that critics say could be used to provide housing to those who’ve lost their homes. [Tweet, video]
“Don’t use my name, but a constituent called me yesterday asking about all the FEMA housing units and trailers that are staged in Hickory,” the lawmaker wrote in a private message to Cassie Clark, an N.C. influencer.
“They’ve been there for a few weeks. I asked FEMA what they were

Former President Bill Clinton has addressed a bizarre claim his staff deliberately tore the letter ‘W’ from White House keyboards to hinder his successor, President George W Bush - and admitted that the long-running allegation might be true.
Writing in his new memoir, Citizen – My Life After The White House, Clinton, 78, recalls how a media ‘feeding frenzy’ marred the handover to Bush in 2001 amid claims departing staff had vandalized the West Wing.
At the time, it was said that filing cabinets were glued shut, obscene messages left on answering machines and pornographic pictures placed on office printers.

Pentagon officials speaking on condition of anonymity are claiming that should Pete Hegseth be confirmed as Secretary of Defense, he will demolish the efforts by the Department of Defense to stamp out sexual assault. According to Politico, "Officials fear that Hegseth, whose nomination had already caused controversy due to his opposition to women serving in combat, could also hurt efforts to recruit women into the military."Let's stop the tape for a moment. Hegseth was not "credibly accused of sexual assault." As he said, police investigated the incident, and there were no grounds to charge him.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who, as we reported, was busy dancing happily at a Taylor Swift concert Friday night as pro-Hamas forces rioted on the streets of Montreal, said at a Thursday press conference Thursday that he would have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested if the premier arrived on Canadian soil. As Tim Walz might say, the guy is just plain “weird.”
His comments come after the ICC embarrassed themselves by issuing arrest warrants for Netanyahu as he is engaged in a fight for the survival of Israel against permanent aggressors Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. RedState’s Streiff reported:

Could it happen? Could the Democrats manage to land Kamala Harris in the White House, and not just for a few weeks?
National treasure Dr. Victor Davis Hanson sees a way for them to do that - but it would be an act of pure desperation.
A video of Biden on Tuesday went viral online after the president appeared to wander off a designated path following his speech on climate issues in the Amazon rainforest. On “The Victor Davis Hanson Show,” the senior fellow noted how Harris had flip-flopped on left-wing policies she had advocated for prior to 2020, claiming she was now returning to her “left-wing self”

A-List actor Denzel Washington says he knows it isn’t “fashionable” to talk about or even be religious in Hollywood. But he also says he has come to a place in his life where he simply does not care what anyone thinks about his open expressions of faith. [SNIP] he was well into his adulthood at that point, and he had never really cultivated a solid religious belief despite having grown up in the church with his family. But when he got to West Angeles, he had a spiritual awakening that changed his life.
