Dejected Democrats Have Had Enough of MSNBC

Original Article

MSNBC had a pretty good night last Tuesday, beating CNN in the election night ratings for the first time. But since then, the network's ratings have dropped off a cliff. As one dejected viewer explained, she just can't take any more MSNBC claptrap without some explanation of why they got this so wrong. If you’re like me, you haven’t turned on the news since last Tuesday when Donald Trump won the election. Personally, I can’t bear to listen to another minute of wisdom from Joy Reid, my friend Lawrence O’Donnell or the admirable Rachel Maddow. I can’t hear Anderson Cooper, or Abby Phillip. Can’t abide getting the lowdown

I never signed up for cable TV, so I don't get MSNBC..... BUT..... Election night, the wife and I switched back and forth between ABC, CBS, and NPR just to watch the loooooonng faces and hear their increasingly improbable scenarios... "If Kammie gets 98% of the vote from THIS district that has not yet reported, and if we flip a dime and it lands on edge, she could still win." HAW! HAW! HAW! Perhaps a similar effect drove election night ratings at MSNBC.

In our 50/50 country, a stunning 64 percent of Americans approve of Donald Trump’s plan for mass deportations of illegal aliens. Only 33 percent disapprove. Rasmussen, who was once again one of the most accurate pollsters of the presidential election, polled 1,276 likely U.S voters over three days after the election was called for former President and now President-elect Trump. When asked how important it is to stop illegal immigration, 76 percent of those surveyed said “very” (50 percent) or “somewhat” (26 percent) important. Only 22 percent said it was not important. The internals are amazing….

Theodore Olson, a conservative American lawyer who helped Republican George W. Bush secure the presidency in the legal battle over the 2000 U.S. election and went on to argue successfully on behalf of same-sex marriage, died on Wednesday at age 84, his law firm said. A constitutional lawyer who served as U.S. solicitor general under Bush and in the U.S. Justice Department under President Ronald Reagan, Olson argued 65 cases at the U.S. Supreme Court, his firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher said. The firm did not give a cause of death.
Massive Shift in Urban Voting Helped Elect Trump 0 replies

You can't point to just one reason Trump won such a decisive victory last Tuesday, but you can identify a few factors together that guaranteed that Trump would win the popular vote. Among those, the rightward shift of urban voters who form the base of the Democratic Party is at the top of the list. Trump saw gains nearly everywhere, but urban areas stand out because, without massive turnout in the big cities, Democrats can kiss their electoral prospects goodbye. Big cities are where the elite tend to congregate, and the Democrat coalition has recently been characterized by an odd alliance between wealthy, overeducated and irrationally leftist

As I was reading a column from my colleague-once-removed Guy Benson, I thought again about how right I was to praise Donald Trump's selection of J.D. Vance immediately. You surely recall the moaning and whining coming from the Republican bedwetters after the pick. Democrats immediately attacked Vance, and as a consequence, the Senator's favorability ratings dropped like a stone into a deep lake. Democrats chose to attack Vance as a "weird" guy who had sex with a couch because, well, it is perfectly normal for the candidates of a major political party to run on these bizarre, made-up claims. The Democrats went all-in on attacking Vance,

Local news outlets in Colorado Springs received a shocking email in late April of last year: A photo and video of a burning cross and a campaign sign of mayoral candidate Yemi Mobolade, a native of Nigeria, defaced with the N-word in red spray paint. “What has this city come to?!” read the email, signed only by “Citizens of Colorado Springs.” This, according to the email, was “another one of their tactics to keep Yemi out.” The writer then opined on who was likely behind the racist message: supporters of Mobolade’s opponent, center-right Republican Wayne Williams. “Candidate Wayne Williams is pushing hard to win this candidacy

JACKSON, Miss. — For out-of-state developers hoping to bring a win to Mississippi’s capital, their pitch was flat. The city had long been searching for someone to develop part of downtown Jackson, and when two men showed up expressing their interest in late February, City Council member Virgi Lindsay agreed to meet with them at an upscale steakhouse in a nearby suburb. But they had “no vision,” Lindsay said in an interview, and they were short on details. She could not recall whether they even offered a business card.

"I don’t think we were clear enough by saying fewer people came in under President Joe Biden than came under Donald Trump," Pelosi told The New York Times during a recent interview. "It’s clarity of the message, and if that’s what [Sen.] Bernie’s [Sanders] talking about, and that’s what [Sen.] Joe Manchin’s talking about, we weren’t clear in our message as to what things are, then I agree with that."

Has anyone informed Joe Biden that he's leaving the White House in January? Plenty of outgoing presidents have indeed taken a few last shots, sometimes literally on their way out the door; that seems to be a favored time for signing pardons, for instance. But in one such move that's something of a head-scratcher, Joe Biden is imposing a new tax on the oil and gas industry - this one on methane emissions. President Biden's Environmental Protection Agency finalized a new rule Tuesday, taxing methane emissions from the oil and gas sector. The new tax was born out of Biden's sweeping climate legislation

The New York Times followed a Frank Luntz focus group of 13 young undecided voters over the course of the campaign, the oldest of whom was 27. What they found out from their coverage of them is rather fascinating and pretty hopeful, because it appears that the group coming up does largely get it. By the election, they had two for Kamala, four who went in different directions, and seven who voted for Trump. Townhall's Guy Benson broke down the article and observed the word "phony" was applied to Harris "over and over again" and her campaign was referred to as "empty." When asked to describe her campaign

By taking more of the Hispanic vote than any Republican since the U.S. government created the ethnic category in 1977, President-elect Donald Trump has dismantled a coalition that the Left had expected to ride to power throughout the 21st century. That alone bodes well for conservative governance. Voters who self-identified as Hispanic broke for Trump at an astonishing 46% rate, which means the actual percentage is likely higher if these early estimates hold. Hispanic men in particular voted for him at a 55-45 rate. These votes might have cost Vice President Kamala Harris the election.

Nikki Haley, a failed presidential candidate and former ambassador to the United Nations, tried to smear President-elect Donald Trump as “shallow” after he stated he would not offer her a position in his second administration. The comment appears to expose Haley’s resentment of Trump, who defeated her in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race. Haley dropped out in March after Super Tuesday. She eventually said she would vote for Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris in the months leading up to Election Day, but the endorsement did not cause Trump to bring Haley on the campaign trail as a surrogate, angering many establishment Republicans. After Trump defeated Harris in a landslide,
