It is official. The 97th Oscars have a host and his name is Conan O’Brien.
The Emmy Award-winning television host, writer, producer and comedian will be the sole host for the 97th Academy Awards on March 2, 2025, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang announced today. It will be O’Brien’s first time hosting the broadcast.

The AP called the race for McCormick last week. However, the margin falls just under 0.5 percent of the total and thus triggers a recount under Pennsylvania law. It shouldn’t be possible to pick up 24,000 votes in a recount and Casey could have waived it, but he is represented by Russia hoax fraudster Marc Elias and has other plans. He seeks to alter the result by persuading friendly authorities to count illegal ballots.
