President Vacation

At a time when we’re experiencing so many threats like an uncertain economy, threatened allies, and wars in multiple areas, it’s crucial for America to have a leader who is fully engaged and ready to take on any challenge. Unfortunately, we have Joe Biden. Sure, he’s the lamest of lame ducks and is probably in “forget it” mode after the way the Democrats so unceremoniously forced him out of his reelection campaign, but you’d think that Biden would be around to address the many crises happening right now. Instead, he’s enjoying some kind of endless summer.

The Demented Fuhrer....... August 26, 2024 "President Biden began his second consecutive week of vacation Monday with nothing on his public schedule for the next seven days — despite claiming he would remain engaged in pushing policy and legislation during the final months of his term." "Biden, 81, arrived at his Rehoboth Beach, Del., vacation home Sunday after six nights with his family at the Santa Ynez, Calif., ranch of billionaire Democratic donor Joe Kiani — who earned at least $3 million in federal contracts since Biden took office." "The president will remain at the shore at least through Friday, according to a public schedule released by the White House."

To be fair, "The Presidency" takes place wherever the President physically is. And his handlers have probably told him to coast to the finish line because everything has to be about Harris now.

In Power Line's most recent The Week in Pictures from last weekend--don't miss it, it's hilarious--there was a cartoon of two little green men getting off a flying saucer that had landed next to a man raking leaves while wearing a hat with an American flag. One of the little green men says, "Take us to your leader!" The American with the rake responds, "We don't really have one right now." https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/08/the-week-in-pictures-deja-obamavu-all-over-again.php One thing you can say about Joe Biden: He doesn't work. He takes vacations. He lies almost every time he opens his mouth. And he takes tens of millions in bribes from our enemies and competitors, which a betting person might wager that he neither reported on his tax returns or paid any tax on. Earlier in the summer someone who knows what is going on in the White House wrote that the Bidiot would sign literally anything placed in front of him even though he knows not what it is, nor what day it is

The old puppet has cast off his strings and is on permanent vacation. The new puppet has to have another layer or two of lipstick applied to try to convince the audience that it should be chosen next. The hidden marionette strings are apparently Scotch-taped to the next row of puppets... the incompetent Clowns in this Clown Car Cabinet. It seems to me that the Sniffer has only one item left on his 'to-do' list before he heads out the door, and that is to sign the pardon papers for the Huncher. Other than that, the Titanic's on autopilot.... I hope there aren't any icebergs in the path between now and Jan 20th. Hopefully the Ship of State will then acquire a new (and Competent!) captain.

I remember when the Dems and the MSM attacked George W Bush for taking the month of August off at his ranch. Bush was a workaholic compared to Biden and Harris. And Trump has them all beat when it comes to putting your nose to the grindstone.

This comes as the Secret Service is spread thin and struggling to meet demands. Things are so bad that the US military is being called in to supplement Secret Service personnel. The FBI's Atlanta Field Office has released some new details about the alleged shooter responsible for killing four and injuring several others at Apalachee High School on Wednesday. Among the details was the fact that Colt Gray had been investigated previously for making online threats to commit a school shooting in 2023. [Tweet] According to the agency's statement, in May 2023, the FBI investigated online threats and determined they came from Gray, though the then-13-year-old denied making them. Area schools were still put on alert and told to monitor him. Here is the full text of the Atlanta office statement:

In the slimmest of chance that you needed a reminder that the Harris-Waltz ticket is the most radical presidential ticket in American history, you've come to the right article. Harris recently hired a campaign director who has viciously attacked White Christians and claimed that America is an imperial "cult" and a "bloodthirsty beast." Did I mention that the new hire is not only Kamala's campaign "faith" director but that she's also a Presbyterian minister? Yeah. So-called "Progressive" Rev. Jennifer Butler argues that "White supremacists" have "hijacked" the Christian faith — a "quality" that seems to fit perfectly with the Harris-Walz ad nauseam attack on White (and Black) conservatives.

After weeks of insisting on rule changes for the upcoming presidential debate, Kamala Harris finally surrendered on Wednesday. The original rules proposed to both candidates by ABC News will stand, including the muted mic setup first demanded by Joe Biden. The Harris campaign released a letter announcing the decision to back down. It's her incessant crying in defeat that's most interesting, though. This sure sounds like someone who doesn't expect to do well and is setting up a litany of excuses. [Tweets] How will Harris be "fundamentally disadvantaged" by having complete control of the floor when she's asked a question? That makes no sense on its face.

By now, you've heard that former President Donald Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery, and this made Democrats big mad. If you are a regular PJ Media reader, you also know that Trump was at ANC at the invitation of the families of the soldiers whom the Biden-Harris administration's incompetence killed at the Abbey Gate during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. Unfortunately, a cemetery staffer in the throes of a TDS seizure saw fit to disrupt the mourning families and former U.S. president by physically interfering with their graveside visit. The repugnant Harris-Walz campaign seized upon the sad episode and politicized it. The families of the 13 fallen heroes then issued a statement,

According to a report from NBC News on Tuesday, the Harris-Walz campaign "is still negotiating with ABC News about rules for the Sept. 10 debate with Trump," even though Donald Trump has already agreed to the rules. "One of the key issues," the report notes, "is whether the candidates’ microphones should be muted when it isn’t their turn to speak." It's obvious to anyone that the Harris campaign is looking for a way out of debating Trump next week. To still be negotiating rules that have already been agreed to less than a week before the debate is scheduled is sad and telling. It's because Kamala's debate prep isn't going well.

ERIE, Pennsylvania -- The chaser last Wednesday in Sen. JD Vance's (R-Ohio) trip to this all-important county in the northwestern corner of Pennsylvania came when the Republican vice presidential nominee said Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris can "go to hell" for her handling of the 2021 attack at Abbey Gate in the final days of President Joe Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan. Harris, for her part, has claimed that she was the last person in the room when Biden made the decision that led to the death of 13 American soldiers. It was a decision that Harris pointedly said she was "comfortable with."

Instead of using fossil fuels, we're told to use "clean" energy: wind, solar or hydropower. Hydro is the most reliable. Unlike wind and sunlight, it flows steadily. But now, environmental groups want to destroy dams that create hydro power. "Breach those dams," an activist shouts in my new video. "Now is the time, our fish are on the line!" The activists have targeted four dams on the Snake River in Washington State. They claim the dams are driving salmon to extinction. It's true that dams once killed lots of salmon. Pregnant fish need to swim upriver to have babies, and their babies swim downriver to the ocean.

Because of the size of the audience Carlson introduced him to, and because of the gravity of Cooper’s falsehoods, his assertions deserve a response.
