In recent years, signs that Satan’s minions rule the temporal world have proven impossible to ignore.
After all, if the prince of darkness had decided to troll us all for his own diabolical amusement, then surely he would have done exactly what the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris has done.
On July 19, amid global calamities on a scale unseen since World War II, the Biden-Harris administration announced a plan to eliminate the deadly scourge of plastic silverware. “Communities across the United States and around the world are facing a plastic pollution crisis,” a White House statement began.
It only got worse from there.

So, am I supposed to eat Wendy’s sour creme and chive baked potatoes with my fingers? And straws, that libs also want to ban, don’t work with Frostys. When liberals don’t do serious damage to national security and our quality of life, they are notably irrelevant.

Is DC going to mandate we only use chopsticks from here on? Had enough of the Government interfering in your life yet?

What about all the single use medical devices? Shouldn't we ban them too? Things like bandages, IV bags, catheters, syringes, gloves, thermometer covers, trash bags, and thousands of other products. The answer is, of course not and the same answer for plastic food related items. There is no area of peoples' lives that the elite and bureaucrats do not want to control. See Jerry Pournelle's Iron Law.

This is what happens when an entity has too many employees and they have to justify their presence.

I know why they are this way, but if Biden wants to see a lot of leftover waste, he should try an MRE.
First off, he'll need help getting into the bag. Then, once the food is removed (and possibly eaten), it is impossible to get all the leftover non-food back in the bag it came out of. And then there is the MRE heater.
Like the Supreme Court reformation thing, I think this is just something else to distract Decrepit Joe until his clock runs out on him.
I bet he feels like a REAL President now.

They already reached peak idiocy when they did away with plastic straws in paper wrappers and mandated paper straws in plastic wrappers. Now they're just doubling down on stupid and there's no bottom in sight.

Often have food delivered to my house. There is usually a box to be checked or unchecked if you want eating utensils included. I always check no because I prefer metal forks at my house to plastic. And they always include a plastic bag with plastic forks, spoons, and knives. Haven't used a straw since grade school. Also there no way plastic should be labeled silverware.

Let's review the situation here in the U.S.: economy tanking, war brewing in the Middle East, unregulated immigration across our Southern Border, racial discord everywhere, weakening of (woke) military . . . .
So let's pursue the "NUMBER 1" priority of this "Administration": getting rid of plasticware!!

I wash and reuse nice plasticware. That's my frugal choice. However, I consider them to be disposable if the situation warrants.
I used to work in retail. There is so much wasted cardboard and plastic.

#4 reminds me of what my late husband used to say: People get in a position and think if they aren't changing something, they aren't doing anything. And it is usually not for the best.

What are they going after next - containers, ziplock bags, plastic wrap, bubble wrap, trash bags, packing tape, milk jugs, prescription bottles????

If you want to see real plastic pollution go to someplace like Mexico and the Tijuana River that flows into San Diego and the Pacific, its loaded with all types of plastic as well as more sewage than water. Banning forks here will make zero difference.

Nothing too small for the attention of the Biden administration. You must get approval from the government to exist.

Federal debt of 35 trillion. Not a problem.
Total US debt of 101 trillion. Not a problem.
Plastic utensils. Omg! What a TERRIBLE PROBLEM!
Btw, those debt numbers have gone up.
This does not end well. It will have to be addressed. First step is stopping all of the out of control spending. Ending Obama era policies and removing from power the people that implement them is the first step.
