Several U.S. military bases in European countries such as Germany and Italy were placed on an increased security alert over the weekend. Bases such as the U.S. Army Garrison in Stuttgart, Germany, the U.S. Army’s Rheinland-Pfalz base, and the U.S. Army’s Ramstein Air Base were among the bases that were placed on a threat level of “Charlie,” according to Stars and Stripes.This came after the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), which is headquartered in Stuttgart, issued an increased threat level to “Charlie.” Other U.S. military bases such as the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz’s base in Baumholder, Germany, and other military bases

On Monday morning, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision of Trump v. United States that the office of the United States presidency has immunity from criminal prosecution. Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote the dissent, which Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson also signed onto. It's a dissent that has plenty of people talking over social media, with a common theme of the reaction being "bats**t" to describe her ranting and raving. Within minutes of the Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity, liberal politicians and pundits seemed to move from hyperbole to hyperventilation. When not breathing into paper bags, critics predicted, again, the end of the republic.
CNN’s Van Jones declared that it was “almost a license to thug, in a way.”
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) declared: “My stomach turns with fear and anger that our democracy can be so endangered by an out-of-control court” and denounced six justices as “extreme and nakedly partisan hacks — politicians in robes.”
CNN data analyst Harry Enten freaked out on the air over poll numbers for Biden after the debate disaster of last Thursday night, noting that he has never seen numbers this bad for an incumbent president.
The data points that Enten seems most panicked about are the ones related to Biden’s mental health and how that relates to the idea of him running for another term.
This is why Democrats are in full meltdown mode with some of them even insisting that he drop out of the race.

Former President Donald Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon reported to federal prison on Monday to begin his four-month prison sentence after being held in contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena from the January 6 Select Committee.

President Joe Biden criticized the Supreme Court in a White House address Monday evening over its ruling that former president Donald Trump is immune from criminal prosecution for official acts taken while in office, but not unofficial ones.
“For all practical purposes, today’s decision almost certainly means that there are virtually no limits on what a president can do,” Biden said. “This is a fundamentally new principle, and it’s a dangerous precedent.”
Biden said the presidency will “no longer be constrained by the law” and that “the only limits will be imposed by the president alone.”
