Tyson Foods, the U.S.-based meat supplier that’s grown to be one of the world’s largest companies, offered shirts to employees for this its annual Juneteenth celebrations that literally cross out “July 4” as the nation’s Independence Day.
Emails obtained by The Daily Wire show the poultry industry giant selling shirts for its annual Juneteenth celebration that say the holiday, marking the day in 1865 that African Americans in Texas learned that slavery had been abolished in the United States, is the nation’s true independence day.
“Juneteenth is my Independence Day,” reads one shirt offered, while another, under a crossed out July 4 date, states, “Juneteenth 1865

The joke's on them, "independence" implies responsibility for oneself.

Did Tyson hire the bimbo who single handedly sunk Bud Light? No more Tyson products for me or my family.

That was in Texas in June 1865, meanwhile the slaves in Delaware were not emancipated until December 1865.

Tyson has also been flirting with vaccines for humans in their product, as well as insects. They are just one more American company that has gone woke.

I've been boycotting Tyson since they fired a bunch of Americans in Iowa(?) and hired illegals to replace them.

"That was in Texas in June 1865, meanwhile the slaves in...Joe Biden's....Delaware were not emancipated until December 1865"
Minor edit.
I grew up in south east Texas, Juneteeth was primarily a Local Affair, chief hallmark was Family Reunion get togethers in Parks and at the Beaches.
Keep in mind that at that time Black Families had a two parent, intact family, percentage that rivaled if not exceed that of White families, something that is now a rarity, with three/four generations that have never had a "Fulltime Male" in the household..

If you haven't already, start boycotting Tyson. This company hires illegals to produce their chicken products. Now they're pushing a phony BS non holiday.

I've been boycotting Tyson since they majorly helped Bill Clinton become President
(Not easy to do; they have so many popular name brands as subsidiaries, and produce the raw materials for many 'store brands.).

Personally I’ve been boycotting Tyson since their role in promoting the Clintons over 30 years ago.

I’ve been boycotting Tysons since they were bankrolling Bubba Clinton in 1992.

Tone-deaf. What marketing/public relations genius at Tyson came up with "strinking out" July 4? You just do not mess with July 4 as our national holiday. Got that, marketing/public relations genius?

As a As Black man born and raised in 70s and 80s rural WV I never heard of Juneteenth. Fast forward to 1992 and I'm a young USN sailor stationed in the CA Bay Area. I went to Oakland's Lake Meritt for their annual Juneteenth celebration. A nice older Black couple who was selling memorabilia explained the day to me. Never in my life did I think that it would become a federal holiday. As far as Tyson goes, I love chicken and groceries are more expensive than years past. Even so I will never buy another Tyson product.
